Friday Photography - The first Anemone

Good evening everyone.

I took this photo for Lauren. I will remember her by it, for all her beauty and fullness.

I wish you all precious moments this weekend.

Nice shot of the Anemone. Looking into the center is like looking into a black hole.

Some more flowers for Lauren.

When I offer to wash your back in the shower, all you have to say is yes or no.
Not all this "who are you, and how did you get in here?" nonsense.

@Socialprogressive

Thank you for your beautiful flowers.

I see a luscious deep purple place in the anemone. Your second flower captivates me.

The second flower is a Cowpea. Not a very glamorous name for an exotic looking flower.

It looked like a form of pea to me. I didn't know whether it was the fragrant sweet pea, or another variety. Never heard of cowpea before, but found this info interesting. Check it out -

Beautiful photo Janis! Beautiful sentiment as well. That was sad news this week.

So Anemone must be one of your first spring bloomers there? Ours is here, often the first flower. The petals on the ones here are much thinner and longer than yours, those are short and fat petals by comparison. Ours can be white (mostly), some purple, and rarely pink.

Fantastic photo, thanks!

be well!

Hi all,

Just a quickie, I gotta fly...

Did a night light session for bugs, one night last week, it was between depressing and frightening how poor the response is nowadays.

This was interesting though, new to me here, a Cuban Green (aka Banana) Cockroach. They are introduced from Cuba, live in FL and along the Gulf Coast to east Texas. And seemingly are moving west.

Eastern Amberwing - these are tiny a dragonfly, usually appearing more yellow, this was a function of light and angle.

Have good ones all!

PS Somehow I don't think that is Ray Charles singing. Or if it is him, he must have been still very young. Or what?

Thank you all for your beautiful photos.

@mimi

it's because that is Joe Cocker singing. Of course you recognised the difference between Ray Charles and Joe Cocker. Your ears have been attuned to differing languages, voices, and cultures over your lifetime, which is a wonderful thing.

Thank you for your love and appreciation. It is mutually reciprocated.
