The Fight Against The Empire
One interesting little thing about the mayoral primary is that @AndrewYang, reviled by many on the left, voted for @CynthiaNixon in 2018 while @Dianne4NYC, beloved by many on the left, voted for @andrewcuomo.

There is more going on in the NYC Mayoral Race than the Ruling Establishment wants you to know. The forces gathering to defeat Andrew Yang based on fake information may work. The idea now seems to be to keep all the non-viable candidates in the race so that they will dilute Yang's share of the vote. This tactic has worked in NYC, but there is always a first time.
Scott Stringer was a Progressive. That is why his supporters, finally awake, have deserted him. In the same way, Andrew Yang is Not who the Left is painting him to be.
The Progressives, the Left Wing of the Democratic Party, the DSA, are embarrassed by their selection of Scott Stringer as their new Progressive Leader. They were duped. Now they know the truth on that candidate. They are looking for a new candidate to call their own and they are blowing it big time.
The current wisdom being hawked on propaganda TV and media is that Eric Adams and Andrew Yang are somehow both right wing "centrists." How's that for a contradiction in terms?
But I digress.
Andrew Yang is an alternative to the Adams coalition which includes Andrew Cuomo, Michael Bloomberg, ClintonWorld, Jay Jacobs (New York State Democratic leader,) and every neo Fake Progressive on the list. Ray McGuire is a rich guy who has never voted or governed but thinks he is smart. Shaun Donovan was Bloomberg's hatchet man, responsible for the loss of over 100,000 units of middle income housing which got sold off for luxury housing developers.
Maya Wiley was a spokesperson for msdnc and talks poverty but was as privileged as it is possible to be. Wealthy parents and every advantage.
Progressives are painting Adams and Yang as equal threats when it is entirely untrue.
The Tweet above tells you what you need to understand. Yang is for policies that help all of us. Adams is another Cuomo. No similarities in any way. The NYC press has begun revealing the ugly truth about Adams and I hope it is not too late. A corrupt cheat with all the worst friends.
Ben Max who tweeted the remarkable item above is not a Yang fan. It may be that he is waking up! 26 days until Early Voting Begins.
Interesting that not a single member of Congress from Brooklyn is endorsing the Brooklyn borough president, and that, for that matter, not a single member of the NYC congressional delegation is endorsing him, even though he is leading in some polls. pic.twitter.com/Gng8WLKav1

Endorsements Don't Matter Much in NYC The interesting thing about this Tweet is that the elected officials from Brooklyn, where Adams has been the Borough President, are endorsing Other candidates. Hakeem Jeffries, for example, has endorsed Kathryn Garcia. or maybe it was Maya Wiley. Doesn't matter either way because even with their combined share of the votes they do not equal double digits.
AOC has endorsed Brad Lander for Comptroller. Lander, whom I favor, is polling at 3% and AOC's endorsement is worthless here and will be worthless if she endorses for Mayor.
OTOH Yang has congressional endorsers, NYS Assembly endorsers, NYS Senate endorsers, NYC Council endorsers, on and on. People like Andrew.
What are those Progressive Policies Yang supports? And what has the opposition resulting from those positions?
For one, Yang supports removing tax-free status from profit-making enterprises. Madison Square Garden is one of these Yang has singled out. It's owner, Bob Dolan, has formed a SuperPac to oppose Yang. Similarly the Charter School system is lobbying hard against Yang.
Real Estate owners who intend to keep high priced neighborhoods free of middle class residents are furious that Yang did a Press Conference standing in Soho promoting a mixed income, including Low Income, housing development in Soho. Similarly Yang has suggested that the long established practice of landowners and empty business locations keep their property vacant for years until they can get the most for it. Yang wants an Empty Lot and Shop Tax. That did not go over very well with high income owners.
Yang stands with Parents and not with the Teacher's Union. At first, people were shocked, including me. I am a retired early childhood teacher. But I caught on pretty soon. Yang is speaking for our entire economy getting back on track and not for the narrow slice the UFT represents. I am with Andrew all the way on this.
Going out and about for now but will be back to answer questions and concerns later on.
Here is the audio from the February 2020 interview where Morales says she "thinks" she voted for Cuomo, but also says she "hasn't made up her mind" about the presidential primary. She also says she's "a strong believer in school choice" & rejects the label of "progressive" lol. pic.twitter.com/SyYaBGqeJF

Dianne Morales denies she is a Progressive. Oh well.
Andrew Yang has never claimed to be a (P). He is content to let his views and policies speak for him, and watch others try to claim mantles they never deserved. Maya Wiley is the next Faux Progressive that may not pass the smell test.
My friend @RitchieTorres is an incredible leader here in New York City and on the national stage.
I’m thrilled he’s endorsing my campaign for NYC Comptroller. pic.twitter.com/HYnKHj1Irz

Ritchie Torres is Andrew Yang's Co-Campaign Manager. He is a US Congressman from the Bronx. If Corey and Andrew run as a team with joint appearances it will be hard/impossible to stop them.
Corey is the Super Popular Speaker of the NYC Council and was long expected to be our next Mayor. Corey dropped out of the race, and out of sight for a bit, because of a depressive period during the pandemic and it seems to have endeared him even more with his New York supporters.
