It is almost 48 hours since the polls closed and most votes have been counted. The SNP WON! Period.
So far the SNP has 63 seats out of 129. They may win a few more. But either way, the Greens won 5 seats and 63+ 5+ gives us that Super Majority the Imperial Kingdom of Great Britain has been trying to ignore and misinform you about.
It is utterly shocking that during the second most important Election Day---akin to our mid-terms---there was no live TV coverage. Nothing but an occasional terse negative summary. If you have ever watched Live BBC election coverage, it is something to behold. Their graphics and recreations and on scene reporting puts the USA with its Big Boards and Magic Maps to utter shame. I have to wonder if our media will cover the Mid-Terms if they fear the outcome.
Now, the Election Nazis have declared, "no coverage for you," to Scotland and Wales and The Green Party in Scotland, Wales and the UK, all of which made Gains and will be voting with the SNP.

The turnout was 66%. The Highest since 1999 when the Holyrood Scottish Parliament began the modern era.
Our allies in the UK and Wales, The Green Party and Plaid Cymhru, also gained big.
This has been spectacular.
The British Press is insisting that the SNP fell short because they got 64 seats rather than 65. Nonsense. BS. Fake in every way.

Looking on line, there is nothing as straightforward as your reporting. When you have time if you can, break down the results for Wales and Scotland. We would be so glad to see Scotland back in the EU. We order a lot of meds from chemists in Scotland. Things have gotten difficult since the Brexit.

In Wales Plaid Cymhru gained 1 seat. In UK The Green party gained over 100 seats. These results help Scotland in Westminster, in the House of Commons. They sit together and vote as one. Latest details will be on the BBC front page. At least they were last night. May be gone by now.
It is unsurprising that the NY Times is following the BBC lead. There is a disparaging story found on Page 14 of today's newspaper in the bottom left hand corner. "SNP fell short." BIG LIE.
For those who do not speak "newspaper" the bottom left corner is the least desirable and if you are an advertiser you pay a lower rate for this placement because fewer people read this part of a large page.
This election has unsettled the future of the UK. I read that the Nordic Union is inviting Scotland to join their upcoming meeting as its own country. The dam may be breaking.

a rising Scandinavia was part of what Scottish independence was all about. At the present time, I think anyone of sense would rather be part of Scandinavia than tied to the rotting ship Britannia.
I wish I could watch BBC election coverage, the Brits. do some things superbly well. The Royals do ceremonies better than anyone else and are fun to watch as performance art. 100 seats for the Greens. That sounds like a Really Big Deal, is it? Who sits and votes together? Plaids and Greens?

The Greens in the UK tend to vote with and sit near the SNP in Parliament. Plaid Cymrhu is from Wales and they, too favor Independence. Northern Ireland didn't vote this round, but in the next election I will be looking for the Sinn Fein numbers. In my grandchildren's lifetime, maybe my daughter's and who knows? maybe even mine, we will all witness the further growth of Independence from the rot of England

but I believe that Jeremy lost because of his wishy-washy stance on Brexit. He never came down definitively enough for British people who were tired of uncertainty.
Bojo gave them a concrete answer, (the Wrong Answer) and in so doing gave people for whom this was the #1 issue, something to vote for.
Not the Labour party and not anti-semitism, although they contributed to doubts about Jeremy, were as responsible for his loss as much as Jeremy himself who needed to declare in no uncertain terms, WHY Brexit was Bad and present a different scenario.

There was an Elizabeth Warren spoiler in this race you may never have heard of. Alec Salmond launched a late-in-the-day spoiler campaign saying the SNP was not Independence enough. He would do it faster.
Alec won ZERO seats in Hollyrood, the same fate Liz Warren faced after sabotaging Bernie.
(Bernie is not the President, but he seems to be in charge of our current domestic policy. The domestic bills coming from Biden sound and look like Bernie's policies. If the BBC will not cover an election live, that is roughly equivalent to our mid terms because they are not winning, what is to prevent USA news bureaus from doing the same?
IMHO this all started when CampClinton refused to stop saying that "Hilary Won the popular vote." She did not win the White House and that is the only significant metric.

Yes.The tragedy is
that so few people even know how close Scotland is to reaching the goal. A strong, economically viable country which will continue to contribute to the world economy---just without England taking a cut of the revenue.
If the world knew the facts of how exploited and oppressed the Scots have been for centuries there would be world wide support.
