As cynical as I am, I'm still surprised they've opted to pull the football with regards to "$2000 checks immediately." Because they went in so hard on that and made it a direct quotable promise, I really figured they would deliver on that. I guess they figured because TINA worked well enough for them in 2020 that it's going to keep working. (And I'm not convinced they're not right about that. Sigh.)

My prediction:
They'll drag out Tanden's nomination until they can figure out how to get the votes, which they will do somehow. $15/hour minimum wage is already a memory. Nothing will fundamentally change. It would be nice to be wrong, but they're doubling down on Tanden and Biden already told Governors behind the scenes this wasn't happening, so that's that.
