He needs to make sure that his supporters know that he doesn’t and tell them to lay off people instead of shaming them into doing it.
Then there are all the videos of Biden touching girls and women inappropriately. Lots and lots of videos of him doing that. There’s one where he’s pinching a girl’s nipples. Does Joe care that there are numerous videos showing him doing that? Nope. He joked about getting their permission before he does it again.

I admit if I was in a swing state I would (maybe?) consider it. But fortunately it isn't the case here in the hinterlands.

I'm in a swing state and there is no way in hell I am voting for Biden. And no, that does not mean a vote for Trump either. I am sick of being vote shamed by people who refuse to give we the people a decent candidate who supports our values. A candidate needs to earn our votes and right now I am not seeing any candidate worth getting my vote.

What's really weird is that he's not ahead by more.
I mean, we're in the middle of a mishandled pandemic that has killed many, many people and essentially screwed the country to the ground, and Trump was president during this fiasco. Under normal conditions, that would be enough to sink a politician. Just shows how rotten Biden/Harris is, I guess.

Lots of people are questioning why he isn’t
As bad as Trump is and with the Woodward tapes showing that he did know how bad it was Biden should be way up in the polls, but even his small lead has evaporated and they are tied in many states. This just shows how bad a candidate Joe is. It doesn’t help that he still won’t even pay lip service on his policies that would bring people in to vote for him. Legalizing marijuana should be a no brainer for democrats, but their pharma donors forbid them to do it until they have their ducks lined up to cash in on it.

Trump already has it, but of course, he wants to be a two termer. I’m just not convinced Biden wants it aside from he was VP and this is what he’s supposed to do next. Is it him who wants to be pres so badly that he will risk humiliation every time he appears in public, or is it the people who are running the show behind the scenes pushing him? Kamala was the obvious choice of the donors going back to the fundraiser by Clinton dems in the Hamptons before the show started, but after Tulsi knocked her out of the race she was done. But putting her on the ticket gives her a back door chance of being president. In real time because Biden is just not up to it. I bet it's going to be Kamala who pulls the strings.

There really isn't any reason to speculate that candidates, and particularly nominees, don't want to be POTUS. Even if they aren't interested in doing the job, they know that others will handle it for them as has been done for several past presidents. They all WANT it; most have been longing for it for decades.
That's not to say that all politicians have such dreams or longing. Those that honestly don't want it are probably precious few. Not running for the job only indicates that the politician has realistically recognized that they have close to zero chance to succeed. But give them an opening and they're all in.
Worked for him in the primary.
Given his age and cognitive decline, he isn't able to learn a new trick for the general election.
Compare his strategy to his primary opponents that begged for votes. The one that stood out to me was Klobuchar, but all (with the possible exception of Sanders) seemed to do it. They all lost and Biden won and did so with a much smaller campaign fund than several of the others.
Trump is rallying his base. Biden doesn't have a base; so, he's relying on surrogates and the MSM to get the job done for him.
