I can't remember which essay it was in but probably one on the different opinions on lock downs. Anyway he said that people on this site are standing for our civil rights ..."more than he is seeing on other sites..." or something close to that. I thought that was a great compliment.

The other thing that has made this site stand out is that we had debunked Russia Gate from the git go. And every other conspiracy theory that others have dived head first down the rabbit hole believing in. And especially after the Horowitz report that said that the FBI was very naughty setting up the Russia Gate players like Carter Page, Papadopoulus (sp) and general Flynn. The guy who owns CrowdStrike admitted that there was no evidence that Russia hacked the DNC and others have shown how the FBI entrapped Flynn into a guilty pleas. "NOPE I don't believe that every happened because my mind is made up and facts are not going to get in the way of changing my thoughts. Hillary only lost because of Russia, Comey....."

I recently read about how Pelosi is doing a great job with the CARE bills and especially her latest TURD, the Heroes bill where just about everything has gone to her elite friends at the expense of the people who are in desperate straights now and because of the decades of democrats pushing neoliberal policies. Some one called her out on not passing a monthly stipend or anything that helped us. Mortgage and rent relief ect. Anyway that person got dawg piled on because he said something bad about Her Highness Nancy.

This site instead has written exclusively on how bad the bills coming out of congress were. Or are. (Morning...)

So yes this site is very important and I think there are more people reading what is written here than we know. So kudos folks for your honesty and seeing through the kabuki BS that so many others who call themselves democrats refuse to admit.

Are the Democrats Dead (Again)?

For election after election, the Democrats failed to present either an effective counter to the Republican myth-makers or a program that would effectively address the needs of workers who felt left out.

What most people don't know is that, during the Reagan years, Democratic Party leaders decided to scrap their long-standing—and, incidentally, highly successful—New Deal orientation to government. Centrists Democrats like Sam Nunn, Chuck Robb, Bill Clinton, and Walter Mondale helped to launch the Democratic Leadership Council to move the party into the corporate center where it has resided ever since.

For election after election, the Democrats failed to present either an effective counter to the Republican myth-makers or a program that would effectively address the needs of workers who felt left out. Their only successful presidential candidates, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, rode to the White House because they ran campaigns that aroused the hopes of millions of Americans—far more image and style than substance as it turned out.
