Do Not Go Silent into that Dark Night

Ok, so I changed the words of the Dylan Thomas poem a bit.

Tuesday is another big decisive day for Bernie and Our Revolution. Right now, Bernie and Biden are running neck-to-neck in the primary race to win the nomination as the Democratic Party's candidate for the Presidency of the United States (although you would think the opposite if your only source of news is the MSM).

And yesterday, Biden endorsed Trump/s (edit: added /s):

Today, word is out that Jesse Jackson has endorsed Bernie.

Yea, it's not going to be easy. Maybe it was impossible. But for my two cents and then some, it's better to say you've fought and lost than never to have fought at all.

Thing is we haven't lost yet. Biden is looking and sounding really, really, really bad. It looks even worse for the Democratic elite to have pushed Biden down our throats. Elderly abuse on their part, really.

Let's just keep grinding and hope that the American people will come to their senses.

Here's the statement. Woulda been nice if he came out for Bernie before Super Tuesday, but Michigan and Missouri are up for grabs on Tuesday and in reality, Bernie and Biden are running neck-to-neck.

ostensibly GOTV, but all along he was praising Sanders and gave Warren a hat tip (unwarranted IMO). Sharpton was doing about the same thing in SC. There must of been some calculation as to why Jackson didn't endorse him them.

They haven't reported those states because they haven't finished rigging the votes.
Way of the Bern had a story yesterday on one state not getting the results from 44 precincts. I don't remember which one but it was a super tuesday one. So how many other states haven't reported all of the votes? In LA where people were met with looonnnggg lines some people were illegally given provincial ballots instead of the ones they should have had. Lots of voting hijinking going on and I do not trust that Joe actually won. Polls showed Bernie with a massive lead just days before the centrists dropped out to go with Joe. Exit polls also showed that Bernie should have gotten more votes than he did.

You know what I think? I think they've been real comfortable doing this shit for years with only a faction of the electorate paying attention. But that's changed a wee bit. Now you've got A LOT more people paying attention. And like gravitational elements in physics, when the momentum moves passed a tipping point, you can no longer stop it. So, let'em eat their cake. Sooner or later we're coming. And when we do they better hope their compounds in New Zealand will keep them safe.

I remember my Mom -- it was 2018, Claremont California. I would get up at 7 each morning and take care of whatever complaints she had. 10am I would wheel her (in a wheelchair -- toward the end she had forgotten how to walk) into the kitchen and serve her breakfast. When she was finished I would wheel her back and stay with her unless she wanted to sleep. Around that time I would serve her a Lorazepam pill -- they wouldn't put her on hospice care until the last two weeks of her life, and so the Lorazepam was rationed. Maybe around noon I would serve her a snack. Maybe I would also feed her another Lorazepam pill. At around two p.m. I would head out to Fontana to climb up and down a hill and smoke cannabis while a caregiver fed her dinner and otherwise took care of her. Caregiver would leave at seven and I would feed her another Lorazepam and put Mom to bed.

I'm imagining Joe as President in 2021, and the whole of America turned into Joe's caregivers. Facebook is full of people, now, who are pressuring Bernie voters to tell the world they would vote for Joe if he wins the nomination. Why would anyone wish the Presidency upon Joe?

They took a shot at Trump with Russia Gate and Ukraine Gate and they not only did not take down Trump they trapped Biden in the scandal.

Just like Romney couldn't hit Obama for the ACA, Biden cannot go after Trump for impeachment and the Ukraine fiasco because it's his son who is caught in it. And remember Biden stuck his own foot in his mouth when he bragged about 'getting that sombitch fired.'

[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8Q9w4ik_Lg&list=TLPQMDgwMzIwMjATGYqSbo3...

And Biden can't go after Trump for recently saying he is going to cut entitlements because of all the video of him wanting to do just that.

So the democrats are pushing for someone who has been neutered from the git go, but then do they really care about that.

And for a preview of the ads Trump will run on Biden:

[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6JJtUNK-M0]
h/t alligator ed

And how many ads will Trump make from this interview where Joe makes the case for Bernie?

BTW I read an article on Joe's flubbing re'election and they totally cleaned up his gaffes. SO we will have the media providing cover for Joe which they are doing now by not talking about his mental state. But boy mention that or dementia elsewhere and IT Is Not Happening.
Talk about blinders. Guess they'll be surprised when Joe gets wiped out by Donald. But then some believe this:

Vladimir Putin may well be reading here and laughing his fucking ass off. Because those who are doing so, are doing HIS WORK FOR HIM.

Heavy sigh.

As for Biden's wondering hands?

Seeing a man who’s kind, decent, and not afraid to cry or touch people in public is not a bad thing.

Heavier sigh.

Sure, Vlad has nothing better to do than read the musings of some dumb as rocks Americans on a blog... Horowitz's report stated that the FBI screwed up getting warrants, but they don't believe that. Kos wrote a very shallow diary on Hunter to make sure everyone was on the same wavelength. I've never really been too much into poetry but, yea:

DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT
-- Dylan Thomas --

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Bernie has been getting some quirky throwback endorsements lately -- also Jane Fonda -- but I don't think any of this will create a groundswell. Bernie already has the progressive left whites and blacks.

And re Tues states, I doubt if Bernie will be able to make up enough of the deficit to Biden on delegates.

In fact, I don't see it happening unless the MSM can be forced to start honestly covering the Biden dementia. Fox and the GOP are already on it. Trump is tweeting about it and mocking Biden on the stump.

Will CNN and Msnbc continue to cover for Joe? And what about a scenario where Joe is in the clear delegate lead going into April or May, yet increasingly is showing troubling signs of being out of it mentally. Will there be an intervention by the party elders, and if so, will they be ok with nudging Bernie into the #1 slot, or will they still deny him and go for a Klobbachair?

The politics of "Hope and Change" that surged during the first throes of the crisis turned out to be little more than an electoral swindle.

The Rust Belt remained in free fall, white working-class life expectancies declined precipitously, black Americans lost half of their wealth, and the Obama administration's signature "reform"—the Affordable Care Act—expanded healthcare coverage by shoring up and subsidizing private insurance companies. And for all that, Obamacare still leaves about 45% of the working-age population either uninsured or (more commonly) underinsured.

These and other democratic shortfalls have contributed to a progressive unraveling of the neoliberal political order. But although this order is rapidly coming to an end, it is not yet clear what will replace it.
...

Tucker Carlson, a rightwing Fox News personality, put it this way: "The story of American decline is the story of an incompetent ruling class. You'll hear many self-serving explanations for it. But the truth is, it's that simple. . . But at this point, it's clear the population has grown tired of it. Donald Trump's election is one clear sign of that. The rise of Bernie Sanders is another. The ruling class, in other words, is losing its grip on power and the ruling class members can feel it. They can smell it. It terrifies them."

....
At the same time, the rapid advance of democratic socialist ideas provides a different measure of the waning of the political order. The speed with which Sanders has gained control of the political narrative shows that masses of voters long for a break with the Democratic Party's version of the neoliberal contract, which coaxed elements of the left with radical-sounding talk about identity (and eventually intersectionality) while giving away the farm to the banks. And when a large portion of Bernie’s supporters tell pollsters that they won’t vote for any other Democratic nominee, they, too, relate a story about polarization. But more than that they express a total loss of confidence in candidates close to the political establishment.
....
Going forward, we have the platform; we have the issues. These have broad public support already. Exit polls show that even in states that went for Biden, majorities want to replace private healthcare insurance with a public plan and support free college tuition. Bernie can still find a path to victory by doubling down on such issues and by drawing stark political contrasts with Biden, who has always represented the banking and credit card industries. It's going to be a damn good fight!

The format for the next debate in Arizona — their first since Biden’s blowout Super Tuesday victories — would have the candidates seated for the first time this election cycle and take multiple questions from the audience. In the prior 10 debates, the candidates stood at lecterns and nearly all questions were asked by the professional moderators.

“Why does Joe Biden not want to stand toe-to-toe with Sen. Sanders on the debate stage March 15 and have an opportunity to defend his record and articulate his vision for the future?” asked Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ senior adviser.
