I think the People are aware they are not part of the political equation. They know politicians must serve their corporate donors first if they want to win another election.
In national elections, "voting for candidates who will work for you" might sound a little naive. However, in local elections in smaller towns, it could have a lot of punch,
I looked through my random collection of quotes for any that might inspire people to "get out the vote." I don't have a lot of those, but the one below could be restated for an uplifting election T-shirt:
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; .... indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.

It turns out, the quotes I collect tend to be a bit dark. But there are a few I might wear on a T-Shirt:
• Democracy must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.
• Want to know who rules over your life? Find out who you are not allowed to criticize.
• First Rule of Politics: You can fix any political problem by fixing the blame.
.
Satirical political slogans for the faithful? In very small type? Or maybe not:
• Matthew 7:20: "By their fruitcakes ye shall know them."
• "As ye exploit the least of my flock, so shall ye profit."
— Conservative Jesus
.
I've also found my new slogan for the season:
• The old world is dying at last, and a finer world is struggling to be born. Now is the time of monsters.

@Pluto's Republic
and reassuring. Also echoes the Yeats line, "What rough beast, its hour come round at last..."
...only after they benefit the corporations.

Lurking in the wings is Hillary, like some terrifying bat hanging by her feet in a cavern below the DNC. A bat with theropod instincts. -- Fred Reed https://tinyurl.com/vgvuhcl
It's one of the most important messages, and is one that is possible to realise.
Graphically, if possible, can you condense the 4 lines under "please" into 3 lines and align them with the white bands of the flag?

We are bombarded with pre-packaged graphics and colors during election season. It would be great to see unique depth and creativity to expand our graphic vocabulary. The last time that happened was with Obama. And not much before then. Under FDR, there were incredible murals in federal buildings all over the country. Signage and graphics in the national parks. The best posters ever produced by the government. They put artists to work during the depression to give them jobs, and their murals were all about American workers. It was extraordinary.

I like it.
Politicians themselves benefit
...only after they benefit the corporations.

Wouldn't every political and social endeavour
be enhanced by having an artist onboard ; ?
Absolutely,

Thanks Pluto, for your references to
the support the WPA and FSA gave artists, and the importance it played in creating something that contributed to the greater good of the public.
