Oh Dear, It Is Hilarious On The Other Place

The wreck list is overflowing with snark about the owners predictions.
The Front Page counters this with articles on Trump.
Where is Hillary Clinton and the great things that she is saying?
You would have thought since D-Kos already anointed the winner that they would be trumpeting her policies, seems they have nothing to say. Not surprising really.
No it's Trump, Trump, Trump.
I suppose an apt Bumper Sticker if she wins the primary will be:
Vote Hillary Not As Bad As A Republican.
Woot!
Could also be used as the D-Kos Banner along with
Fighting to elect more of the same Democrats

Sure, our candidate sucks, but the Rethug candidate sucks even worse!
Yep, that should get 'em flocking to the polls in droves.

Yep it rocks and sinks like one too
Yeah that kind of slogan
worked really well for the Democrats in 2010 and 2014. At this rate, the turnout ought to be below 50% again. If it is Clinton and Trump, it will be two candidates with the highest unfavorables in history. Sounds like a winner. But then I truly believe that the Democratic party simply does not care about winning elections or giving the voters that candidates that would do so.
Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?

Losing is what they want because:

It flubbed in 2012 too.
It lost seats all across the country, despite winning the WH against a cardboard cutout.
If the DNC loses the General they still keep their jobs...
just sayin'.

yes, i think that is a fair assessment gulfgal.
if one simply looks at the lack of effort the Dems and DNC have made to help Dem candidates get a foothold in many areas around the country, one could assume the pie has been cut up and the formula is about even so that nobody can do much of anything.
although with all the questions surrounding integrity of our water and food supplies, one wonders if there is any safe place for any of us.

only Hillary can beat Trump, so Bernie as a Democratic candidate will lose to Trump.
Short version "support Hillary or get Trump."

Hillary who? n/t

but the Dem establishment is well aware of that fact and could really give a rat's ass about it.

As if Obama's appointee was a decent pick
" Hey Hatch, who would you vote for to replace Scalia?"
"Garland"
"Okay, Garland it is".
Jesus, could Obama show who he represents any more blatantly?
Garland is a horrible choice to replace Scalia.
I'm tired of hearing that it's the Supreme Court stupid.
There were problems with running a campaign of Joy while committing a genocide? Who could have guessed?
proof that "it's the Supreme Court, stupid" doesn't work
I just knew Obama would make a stupid replacement pick, just as Hillary would/will.
So, the question is, why doesn't everyone see that? Why do theoretically smart people think it's a good pick just because Obama made it? Ok, "cult of personality" but why? how does that happen? How can it be overcome?
I have been engaged in a months-long "discussion"
on FB, with a real-life friend of mine, about this very thing. (It's on FB because we live in different places and see each other seldomly).
He's a big-D Democrat and is in the "party above all else" camp. Which explains his cognitive dissonance for many, many things I won't even bother to list here because we've all heard them from Hillary supporters.
He spends most of his time trying to convince me that I *need* to -- that I *must* -- vote for Hillary if Bernie isn't the nominee. One of his big arguments has been "BUT SUPREME COURT!" I publicly challenged him on Garland's nomination and it's been crickets ever since.
I like to think this means that maybe he's starting to "get it." Though I won't hold my breath.
That threat does not work on me
I see NO difference between Hillary and the average Rethuglican (see her first positions, not the ones after she plagiarized Bernie and started saying "Ooh, ooh, ooh, me too, me too, me too!").
She's just as conservative as the Rs, and would nominate conservative justices (who would uphold Citizens United and approve of TPP if a suit against them ever got as far as the SCOTUS).
Those alone are NOT good reasons to vote for HRC as the lesser of two evils, in addition to the rest of the long list that should make her ineligible, like she's being investigated by the FBI for crimes! And someone somewhere thinks that is a good candidate to run for president? The one who will get stonewalled and impeachment threats and/or be tried as a criminal even before inauguration day? Seriously?!?
That makes me ashamed to call myself a Democrat, let alone an American.

The only thing we know...
about her is that we really don't know anything.
Which makes us the wisest of the Voters.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
We know a lot actually
We know she will say anything, do anything, take anyone's dirty money, to win.
"You can't just leave those who created the problem in charge of the solution."---Tyree Scott
i know everythig about her
unfortunately or fortunately depending on your point of view which makes me an informed voter.
Hillary Is A Woman!
As one diary on the wreck list has realized.
I noticed that. :) When she weaves the air
with her dainty little hands during a speech, I think "imagine those hands voted for the illegal invasion of Iraq that killed so many people and destroyed a country."
To thine own self be true.
So was Marie Antoinette
That's mean to Marie
Far as I know she never conspired to aid in the overthrow of a democratically elected government, a coup that resulted in the deaths of innocents and mass emigration.
Marie just had the bad luck to be married off to Louis the XVI.
"You can't just leave those who created the problem in charge of the solution."---Tyree Scott
Theirs was actually a sad tale
The terrible sadness was that Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were for reform. They actually believed things needed to change for the common people. Louis even began pushing for reforms. As is often the case, it was seen as weakness and people wanted reform faster and further than what the nobility and bureaucracy was willing to allow it to happen and they were the ones in charge and control of the money. Louis didn't have that kind of control.
The Revolution occurred (a merchant class revolution of course with the peasants used as the fodder.) Louis and Marie were caught trying to escape (a plan that others had concocted and some speculation that it was a set-up). Because they tried to escape, they were condemned to the Guillotine.

So was
Elizabeth Báthory.
Stay on track. Stay in lane. Don't throw rocks.
I'm sure if given the chance Hillary could match her numbers.
With a little help from her friends in the MIC.
I'm sure she already has
If you credit her with a fair percentage of the body count in Iraq.

"Just call me Hillbilly Dem(exit)."
-H/T to Wavey Davey
yup
And god forbid you point out that saying "vote for Hillary BECAUSE the result would be gender-based" is sexism :/
Personally I don't give a damn about whatever group you can be dropped into based on things that YOU didn't do. I do, however, care about the groups you're in based on what you have done. Have you been honest or dishonest? Have you been reliable in your views or are you a weather vane? Are your views based on your values or what you perceive to be popular? If any given candidate is "former former former" then you get my respect. After that, do your views and values and positions align with mine? If so you get my vote. Whatever genitalia you happen to have or happen to enjoy playing with doesn't mean squat ... to me.
Because we're a bunch of insensitive sexist pigs.
Even the women who hate her. Have we no empathy? Have we no vision of this groundbreaking moment in history? Does it matter to us that She's been conniving for this Her whole life and we're denying Her place in History? Isn't it Her turn?

Looking forward

I'd like to see her head up the Fed Reserve
when she's tired of the Senate -- in the meantime, she can be chair of the Senate Banking Committee if the Democrats can get the Senate back. That could make C-SPAN2 must-see TV for those committee hearings.
So is Sara Palin
but I don't see anyone telling me to vote for her because she's got ovaries.
The gender argument is the one they make when they literally have nothing else. And I'm seriously supposed to pretend that Hillary's ovaries are somehow better than Michelle Bachman's ovaries, or Carley Fiorina's or [insert R woman here] and should be any sort of deciding factor. Its just moronic.

Not to mention Democrats who do drug company backroom deals,
staff up with Wall Street slugs and ex-Clintonistas, put SS on the table as part of a "grand bargain", refuse to look back, ramp up deportations, keep the money flowing to the top 1%, advocate for the TPP, nominate a centrist to sit on the Supreme Court, and that's the best we can do???
Unfortunately, that's what the modern "Democratic" Party
WANTS to do. If Hillary Clinton gets the nomination, I'll concede the party to the right wingers and register Green. It hurts some. I proudly signed up as a Democrat before my first election in 1972. But I was proud of the party of FDR. Not this mishmash of Wall Street prostitutes and warhawks.

1972 was my first too
Voted for Shirley Chisholm in the Dem primary in my very first vote. An old lefty, waiting for Bernie a very long time.... I always told myself that I was an FDR Democrat in a time that electoral politics was necessary, though not sufficient, to get the country we need. Re-evaluating the necessary bit these days.
Oh damn
I logged out and took Daily Kos off my tool bar. Guess I'll google it and log in just to see the rec list. I tell you the place is so toxic it eats your brain and makes me someone I don't even want to know. I do like it that winning the race the only thing that counts according to them is going to require more then fear of the other. That's what happens when you declare that one of the scariest global power wielder's, Hillary the Hun is the only acceptable preordained winner. this is not what democracy or Democratic looks like. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.....comes to mind. Especially when the water reeks of poison.

yeah...
I stopped reading his stuff when he wrote a diary that said he didn't necessarily use rational reasoning in deciding his vote, or something to that effect.
