It appears that Operation Mockingbird is at work again
https://www.moonofalabama.org/2020/01/associated-press-sees-hundreds-whe...
At 10:01 UTC today the Associated Press tweeted that "hundreds" gather in central Baghdad to demand that American troops leave the country.
Thirty eight minutes earlier CNN had already reported that "hundreds of thousands" are protesting in Baghdad against the U.S. troop presence in Iraq.
When AP sent the misleading tweet the commander of the Iraqi Federal Police Forces Jaffar al-Batat had already announced that the number of demonstrators exceeds one million.
That number may well be correct. Reports said that the column of protesters was already eight kilometers long even while many were still arriving.

This could be part of the reason for these "headaches'.

Herr Drumpf
may not want the troops home anymore - caving into his MIC - but Iraq wants the troops to go home.

Trump doesn't want to be the president that lost Iraq
Nixon lost Vietnam. That's right the US lost the war in Vietnam. But it's the only US war post WWII that finally produced a good outcome for the county we attacked... because the US lost, at a horrific price for the Vietnamese, probably 2 million dead. But they died to save their country, whereas US soldiers died for nothing, promoting US imperialism.
Trump needs to claim victory over ISIS and get the hell out. Those one million peaceful protesters will turn into something really ugly, probably joined by parts or all of the Iraqi military. That will be far worse for him, with scenes of US diplomats being airlifted out of the embassy by helicopter.
Capitalism has always been the rule of the people by the oligarchs. You only have two choices, eliminate them or restrict their power.
Trump adopts Biden's Iraq plan.
From the link in b's post.
Biden's plan was actually an attempt to ethnically cleanse Iraq into three distinct enclaves (because an integrated, multicultural Iraq is anathema to the US colonial divide and conquer strategy).
For all his brazen denials about his Iraq involvement, one wonders whether, if Joe Biden hadn't been selected Obama's Vice President, he might have eventually been named Iraq Viceroy.
Now Trump is adopting Biden's plan.
Same as it ever was....
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
All of Iraq was a Sunni buffer zone before the invasion /nt

Same media, same MO. The mockingbird is a long-lived species.
I noticed that AP attributed it to only supporters of a "Radical

What assholes they are.
Hundreds
Hundreds of thousands.
Same thing.
You say 'tomato' I say 'propaganda'.

Did it ever stop?

This shows how the steady stream of propaganda impacts.....
how the public perceives the situation.

VK is excellent. I am moving to VK. No ignorant "analysts" driving you crazy, particularly when they pretend to be intelligent.
(whatever VK is; but look how caatty-wampus twitter appears now. all content on the left, etc.)
At the MoA link
All the official experts, and certainly a completely unprepared public, are going to be entirely surprised before long, I have a feeling.

i've read that as well,
and also that some MSM reports claim those iraqi flags are actually hamas or something.
can't wait to read magnier's new one; hope it reads as the title notes. but boy, twitter's formatted soooo differently now.
