Did Bernie's Bros cause Kamala to drop out?

Bernie would be smart to call out Hillary Clinton much like how Tulsi did when she attacked her recently. Hillary is like herpes she is going to keep popping back up and attacking. Ignoring her isn't going to make her go away. Come on Bernie take aim and fire! She deserves it.
--
She's saying straight up we have to support Democrats as they are presented to us, like a fish wrapped in plastic that we can't even sniff. Her understanding of what a "public servant" is has become warped beyond recognition.
--
@BernieSanders, Mr. Dobson is correct, you need to respond directly to Hillary Rodham Clinton and these ridiculous smears.
This is Bologna!
An attack on Sanders campaign is really an attack on US.
They're not giving him/US any coverage anyway, what's to lose? Seriously.

--
The fact is Bernie Sander took it way to easy on Hilllary Clinton in the run up to 2016. He didn’t layout that as Secretary of States Clinton promoted the militarization programs of Obama’s Pivot to Asia in tandem to the Trans Pacific Partnership.
--
Apparently HRC is against the vetting process to get a nominee? No coronation this time for the queen. She's so jealous of Bernie. My God; it's pathetic!

Her husband ushered in this new era of "New Democrat" centrism that has gotten the Democratic Party nowhere politically.

We can raise more money from the corporations than the other party and win elections. So what? What do we stand for?

Just look at what Rahm Emanuel did as the mayor of Chicago.

He raised a lot of money from the corporations and presided over the murder capital of North America. He was/is an embarrassment.

What did Kamala Harris try to do when she was running for President? She tried to raise a lot of money and she attacked all of the other candidates. She didn't have a message.

The Clinton-wing of the Democratic Party is a cancer.

@Situational Lefty

there is always the chance that Hillary will jump into the race. She recently said that she hasn't ruled out running yet. Chances are slim, but....

The Clinton-wing of the Democratic Party is a cancer.

There's no doubt about this. But I think their power is waning ever since she lost the easiest election ever. To the Orange Clown.

The ruling classes need an extra party to make the rest of us feel as if we participate in democracy. That's what the Democrats are for. They make the US more durable than the Soviet Union was.

@Cassiodorus Everything I’ve read about either of Hill’s runs make it sound like they were a mess with no leadership, in fighting, sycophants in high positions, etc. Sounds exactly like what I’ve read about Harris’s.

can't handle such a hard job as POTUS. What bunkum that Kamala quit because of another candidate's supporters - she quit because her corporatist donors realized she didn't have the stuff to go the distance and win a modicum of voter support.

@ppnortney She was out of her depth. In over her head.

She's always been coddled in her political career, from its beginning with the connivance of Willie Brown.

Now for the first time, she's getting heat and having to stand on her own two feet, and she can't do it.

@snoopydawg Is Stern turning his show over to being a full-time propaganda platform for neoliberals?

Sanders waited more than a month during the heat of the 2016 White House race to formally endorse Clinton. "It was a question of bringing the party together around a progressive agenda," Sanders said of the reason for the delay in supporting his onetime rival for the Democratic nomination in a "Today" show interview shortly after his July 2016 endorsement.

Clinton said little when asked about several of the 2020 Democratic White House hopefuls. The former secretary of State called South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg "very interesting" and "very smart." When Stern questioned whether she could support former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Clinton responded, "I'll support whoever the Democratic nominee is."

"I don't want to get in the middle," she said.

Stern asked Clinton about fellow Democrats and allies who would like to see her fade from the political spotlight and don't want her to run for political office again. "Do you ever just want to lay in bed and say f--- this? I'm going to go into full seclusion and they'll never hear from me again," Stern asked.

"First of all that would only delight my adversaries, so I would never do that," Clinton replied. "But secondly I have this unique perspective. I have a particular understanding of the Russian threat."

First off no she doesn't have a particular understanding of the Russian threat because it never happened. She made it up so people wouldn't talk about how she rigged the primary.

Secondly she decided that Tim effing Kaine would make a great VP which was basically a screw you to the base who wanted more progressive policies.

Thirdly she stayed in the race much longer than Bernie did. You know in case Obama was assassinated.

Clinton opened up about Donald Trump's win in the 2016 election, saying, "If I had lost to a normal Republican I would've been unhappy, but I wouldn't have had that pit in my stomach, like, 'What the heck? What's going to happen? What's he going to do next?' His impulsiveness, his vindictiveness. Where does this lead?"

Well you should have thought about that when you screwed Bernie you half wit.

Clinton acknowledged she made a "miscalculation" when it came to handling the press in the last presidential election.

Boy I'd say you did. Roping them off so they couldn't talk to you. Putting up white noise machines so they couldn't hear what she was saying to her rich donors.

While Trump was a "constant presence" on television, Clinton said, "I often did not prioritize media the way I should have."

You had the media cover only him as much as possible. Grrr will she ever stop blaming everyone but herself for losing? No other candidate in history has gone on a 3 year whining campaign for losing and it's time she returns to the woods.

So I just happened to catch Nadler talk about how evil Trump is because America deserves to have free, uncorrupt elections. (He was probably sitting on a pillow of $100 bills from pharma when he spoke). Meanwhile, he has no problem with his fellow Democratic leaders using their power and money to steal an election. So HER decides to lecture people on accepting other Democratic candidates? HER that has access to major media and uses it to trash other candidates? HER that used super delegates? HER that did every money/power driven trick in the world to get the nominee?

The rest is spot on too. That people can talk about fair elections after what happened in the last primary is such hubris isn't it? And her bitching about how much media coverage Trump got was because she told them to cover him! The replies to her tweet and the other ones that report it are brutal for her.

With people's houses burning down? Did she even return to the state during the big fires, tour the areas, make condolence visits? Obama was very good at that sort of thing.

Then, Trump and the Republicans decided to make a BFD about homelessness in CA, which, granted is a problem, but it has been a problem ever since the 1980s, when Reagan shut down mental institutions so that his friends could build housing developments near the former institutions. I don't recall any Republican making an issue out of homelessness when Arnold was Gov., and why oh why does Feinstein get a pass on any CA dysfunction, such as PG&E malfeasance and exorbitant housing prices. She has been a senator a lot longer than Harris. Did T-Rump happen to mention how many of the homeless are actually employed somewhere? No, I didn't think so.

I can't decide if Harris is a well meaning fool, or just functionally incompetent. AS CA AG, why did she not prosecute PG&E? Why not do something about the illegal marijuana plantations on public land? Let the PC multiculturalists squawk; westerners take our public lands very seriously. Given a bit a courage and vision, Harris could have been a heroine with hunters, fishermen, hikers and similar enthusiasts who don't think they should have to be shot at on lands maintained by the taxpayer. Do not discount the political importance of such people. I don't know, but I get the impression that Harris has been advised by mostly East Coast urbanites who simply don't understand her state.

Mary Bennett

not exactly germane to the thread, but it seems like a good point to remind (or enlighten, for those who may have missed it) folks that more than a few "Sanders supporters" were actually bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign.

Remember in 2016 - while the primaries were still underway that what the media termed Sanders supporters were, instead of focussing on the primaries were, seemingly, devoting their energy to disrupting, often violently, Trump events.

Did that not strike you at the time as being somehow a bit "off"?

I refer you to the "Rigging the Election" series of four videos by Project Veritas based on their infiltration of the Clinton Campaign and DNC contractors.

Spoiler alert: they uncover a toxic pit of corruption. Resulting in zero prosecutions to date AFAIK.

The relevant Bernie bits are when operatives of Democracy Partners - nominally providing services to the DNC but in reality effectively part of the Clinton campaign - cheerfully admit on camera that they pay people to show up and provoke violence at Trump events. Most often Antifa/Black Bloc types, these were dutifully labelled "Bernie supporters" by the MSM.

I don't recall Sanders ever disavowing this and if his (belated though it was) endorsement of Hillary rankled I can pretty much guarantee viewing Veritas' videos is not going to make you feel any better about it.

That's one dark rabbit hole.

Parts I & II are here...
