Ken Starr on Epstein's death

Ken Starr on Jeffrey Epstein: ‘Was It a Homicide? That’s a Real Possibility’

We know this is just abominable,” said Starr to Faulkner about Epstein’s passing. “He should be alive, unless he took his own life. And what we do know is that the protocol was so badly [handled] — but I have great confidence in Bill Barr that the attorney general of the United States will get to the bottom of this. Was it a hom[icide] — not saying it was, but was it a homicide? That’s a real possibility.”

Starr explained in the interview that he first met Epstein back in 2007, “when my former law firm was brought in as part of the defense team to address the legal issues in Florida when he pled guilty.”
Epstein pled guilty, said Starr, “to serious offenses and entered into a global resolution of all of these claims and allegations — which again are serious allegations. My role, Harris, was to say to the federal government, this is a state case. It’s a serious state case, but the state of Florida [and] the Palm Beach County state’s attorney’s office is on the case. It’s investigating the case. And so let’s resolve this as a state case rather than a federal case.”

Harris asked him whether “global resolution” was enough for such serious allegations about convicted pedophile and sex offender Epstein.

Oh, it’s just ridiculous,” replied Starr. “Go back and read in my judgment. Go back and read the non-prosecution agreement. He had to do things such as register as a sex offender, spend time in jail … So it was a very creative non-prosecution agreement, but it resolved all these issues. And I just want to say one thing about Jeffrey’s death: We’re getting more questions than we are answers.”

Epstein was required to register as a sex offender, but at the lowest level so that he didn't have to register as one in 31 states. And he only had to sleep at the prison and spend one day there being allowed outside his cell and watching TV. Yes, Ken it is just ridiculous.

Starr was asked if it was usual for sex offenders to get special treatment like being allowed to leave prison 6 days a week for 12 hours a day.

It was consistent,” said Starr. “It’s my understanding, Harris, that it was totally consistent with the practice at that time in Palm Beach County, and it may still be the [practice]. He got no sweetheart deal — to the contrary. I know that’s the conventional wisdom, but it was no sweetheart deal. Moreover, here’s what was really tough. And ironically, Alex Acosta, the former secretary of Labor — who was the United States attorney at the time — was insistent that there was a federal interest, even though all the evidence was everything that happened, happened in Palm Beach County.”

Sure, Ken. Epstein's island just happened to be located in Palm Beach County Florida. Except that it isn't.

Ken was asked about what happens next. Do Epstein's victims have any recourse to go after the conspirators who were most probably known at the time of the original plea deal.

“It was a global resolution,” said Starr. “This case is over as long as Jeffrey abides by the terms of it. And I don’t know of any suggestion that he did not not. I’m not his lawyer, not the lawyer for the [estate] … I just don’t know. I hope that the federal government will simply recognize that it entered into a deal. It was approved by the justice department at very high levels, [by] the deputy attorney general’s office.”

A deal is a deal,” he added. “The victims have a number of opportunities available to them, as I understand it, and there were opportunities made available under the non-prosecution agreement.

A global resolution for something that only happened in one count in Florida. Hmm.. After Epstein was arrested his house was searched and lots of videos and photos were found. Why haven't we heard anything about what they found? That's right. There have been no press conferences with anyone involved with this abominable situation.

Rudy 9/11 on Epstein's death.

I do not understand how anyone can explain not having [Epstein] under 24-hour surveillance or not checking the camera constantly,” Giuliani also said. “That leads to all the speculation that we all are upset about.”

He noted that in terms of being on suicide watch or not, “You’re on suicide watch for as long as you have the conditions that indicate you might commit suicide. The conditions yesterday or the day before were no different on the day that he attempted suicide,” he added. “Meaning, he was in prison, he was looking at life in prison, he was looking at going from this prison to probably even more rigid conditions of confinement. A tough guy to go to a prison, right? You send this guy into a prison population, they’re going to — you know what’s going to happen to him, right?”

Not a sweetheart deal? Consistent with local practice? Global resolution means one county? And Barr will get to the bottom of this?
Sounds like Rudy is more upset about the malfunctioning camera causing speculation about the death, than the man's actual death. After all, Rudy knew he would get killed in the prison population. And it would have not been in the news.

How many other people would have gotten that deal after doing what he did to so many girls? No one. Period. Even people who are in a minimum security prison for wealth fraud don't get to leave every day to go to work. And what about asset forfeiture? I would think that would have come into play.

So one camera outside his cell malfunctioned. How many more cameras are in the area where they can be examined to see if anyone came by that night or if the guards did their jobs for other prisoners? Unless there is a full investigation into his death including the cameras I'm going with he was either killed or was smuggled out of the prison. Epstein said that he was attacked the first time and did not try to commit suicide.

Why was Jeffrey Epstein allowed to purchase small women’s panties from the Palm Beach jail?

A decade ago, during a brief stint in Palm Beach County Jail, convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein made an odd purchase at the facility’s store: two pairs of small women’s panties, size 5.

It was just one of thousands of dollars of purchases made by the disgraced financier while in jail after pleading guilty in 2008 to soliciting a minor for sex, according to a purchase log. (His top purchase was single-serve cups of coffee, of which he bought more than 800 in 13 months.) But the panties raise questions about why a childless male inmate, accused of sexually abusing girls as young as 14, would be allowed to buy female undergarments so small that they wouldn’t fit an average-sized adult woman.

The panties were certainly too small for Epstein, who also purchased his briefs in men’s medium and sweatshirts ranging from XL to 3XL, and size-12 shoes. So what, or who, were they for, and why wouldn’t the purchase raise eyebrows under the circumstances? It’s one of many questions that arise from thousands of pages of records obtained by the Miami Herald from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The stockade held male and female inmates, separately, explaining why the panties would be stocked.

On Friday, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, which runs the jail and stockade, handed out the records of his stay, during which he was allowed to leave the stockade in a chauffeur-driven car and deposited at a downtown West Palm Beach office building for a 12-hour-a-day, six-day-a-week respite from incarceration.

Let's reconsider some of the aspects of Epstein's plea deal.

That investigation is separate from the Justice Department probe looking at why then-federal prosecutor Alexander Acosta decided to shelve a 53-page sex trafficking indictment against Epstein, which could have put him away for life.

Just why would a federal prosecutor take part in a case that was only local? Hmm, Ken? Answer..he would have because the case was actually global and there were many people involved with it that wouldn't want their names to go public. Epstein helped put away two people from Bear Stearns, but everyone else got immunity.

What’s clear from the Palm Beach sheriff’s records is that Epstein’s wealth provided him extraordinary privileges during his 13-month stay in Palm Beach stockade from June 30, 2008 to July 22, 2009 — an unlocked cell door, almost unlimited access to a TV, and a perhaps uniquely generous work release program that meant he spent almost as much time outside the jail as in it.

The longer he stayed, the cushier things got. Six-day-a-week work release was extended to seven. Hours outside the cell were extended from 12 to 16. He was permitted to pass some of the time at home. Records that once referred to him as an inmate now called him “client.”

Oh boo hoo!

In an email on the day Epstein reported to jail, Capt. Mark Chamberlain wrote that the new inmate was a person of “unusual means” and expressed concerns that other prisoners might try to extort or manipulate him.

“His financial status lends itself to his being victimized while in custody and as such, he has been placed in special management,” Chamberlain wrote. “He is poorly versed in jail routine and society and his adjustment to incarceration will most likely be atypical. For the time being, I am authorizing that his cell door be left unlocked and he be given liberal access to the attorney room where a TV will be installed.”

Im betting that every person who has to do time in prison is poorly versed, but doesn't get special considerations when they arrive at prison.

Bradley Edwards, an attorney for some of the women who accuse Epstein of having recruiters lure girls to his Palm Beach estate for massages that turned into sexual assaults, has alleged that Epstein used his work release hours to engage in sexual exploits behind closed doors. A release of court records earlier this month quoted a young female college student allegedly recruited by Epstein’s associates saying he required “three orgasms a day” to function. “It was biological. Like eating,” she said Epstein told her.

The record of who visited Epstein while on work release — a daily log maintained by deputies and tucked away in a safe — has been destroyed. Explaining that decision, the sheriff’s office cited legally prescribed retention schedules that allowed for the book’s destruction. But many records from that time remain for investigators to examine, including the thousands of pages of just-released records.

Would anyone be surprised if that actually did happen? Who was watching what Epstein was doing during his time away from prison? If he did need to have 3 orgasms a day then why wouldn't he have hired someone to help him with it?

Ya think?

The arrangement came to the attention of Assistant U.S. Attorney A. Marie Villafaña, who wasn’t pleased. On July 3, 2008, she wrote a letter to PBSO Deputy Chief Mike Gauger that letting Epstein spend time in a private office “making telephone calls, web-surfing, and having food delivered to him is probably not in accordance with the objectives of imprisonment.”

Villafaña noted that the and asserted that the financier had misrepresented details about the made-to-order charity where he purportedly worked while on work release.

Work release programs are meant to help inmates maintain their lives outside jail walls and reintegrate into society. But Epstein’s was loaded with perks.

Was this why Epstein was arrested in June? I have been wondering why he was and why no one gave him a heads up that it was going to happen.

Since the Herald published ‘Perversion of Justice’ in November 2018, a federal judge ruled the non-prosecution agreement brokered by then South Florida U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta was illegal, Epstein was arrested on sex trafficking charges in New York state,

Who authorized this?

The first version of Epstein’s work release agreement showed he was not to leave his workplace for any reason, “with the exception of returning to the PBSO stockade, or for emergency medical treatment.” Epstein, the document added, “cannot leave for lunch.”

But a revised version filed 13 days after he he began his work release changed that language to read simply that Epstein could leave his place of employment “only if authorized by [PBSO’s] Alternative Custody Unit.”

The alteration allowed Epstein to make at least 69 doctors’ visits in six months, records show. Many of the trips were to a chiropractor in Lake Worth. Epstein would go as many as three times a week. Sometimes he would have more than two medical appointments the same day. He had so many appointments that off-duty deputies monitoring him had a hard time keeping them straight, the records show.

Gee..how many people currently in prison wouldn't give their back teeth to be able to leave prison to go see a chiropractor?

If you haven't read any of Julie's other work I highly recommend you read Perversion of Justice. I essayed it when I read it because I was appalled and wanted to share my incredulity with others. Why should I suffer alone?

I want answers for the many questions I have surrounding Epstein's death as well as see the others involved with his sordid lifestyle brought to justice for all the women who have been affected by those people no matter who they are or how powerful they are.

If the concerned Captain thought poor mistreated Epstein might be taken advantage of by the horrible guilty bad people in there with him, why allow all those horrible guilty bad people to freely walk in to his cell?

Side note: They allowed him his own private TV, and specially installed it, just for him in the attorney room. So disgusting!

Side Note 2 re his supposed medical need to ejaculate 3x/day: I've heard no reports or seen any photos showing he had no hands, so he easily could have taken care of that himself. There may be science purporting health benefits of a man ejaculating regularly (though I've got no link right now -- and I thought it was 3x/week, not per day); however, I'd bet my abysmal bank balance that the study did NOT claim an underage girl is required in order to facilitate the deed so as to reap the benefits of said ejaculation. Jfc!

What utter contemptible b.s. A 6 foot tall, outwardly healthy and reasonably muscular male broke his hyoid bone and several vertebrae (on the latter point, can't say I agree unless I see the spine imaging myself). How? Why this is how--but should we start at the back of the conspiratorial chain or the front? JE was a visible manipulated marker, along with fellow ghoul Ghislaine Maxwell, of a vast, international elite conspiracy, consisting in part by pedophiles of fame and fortune. They were the entry portals to enter the secret society, although other portals also led to entrance in the same elitist clique.

Think of the fortunes involved in buying the exitus of JE. Millions, spread in all the right places, I would guess. The Warden of MCC who apparently got her position as settlement with her lawsuit against Eric Holder for gender discrimination. The use of guards, falsifying tour logs--verifiably false according to video tapes available from times other than close to the murder.

Cameras malfunctioning. Funny how often that seems to happen--much more frequently than in Las Vegas.

DOJ regulations violated about suicide watch performance, transfer back to Secure Housing Unit (SHU), removal of roommate hours before JE's allegedly self-inflicted demise.

The physics of bone fracture, given that the bunk bed was immovable and JE was 6 foot tall making a rapid dropping to his knees a physical impossibility as long as JE didn't suffer extreme osteoporosis to enable fracturing from such a lesser force.

The list continues, but you get the idea. This murder was performed with the same genius team who devised Russiagate. Bravo. Another massive FUBAR.

@Alligator Ed

Look at what the cell in the SHU looks like and see how it should have been impossible for Epstein to hang himself. Just what did he tie the whatever he used to?

So many incomprehensible things went wrong on the night he apparently killed himself. What are the odds of that happening? As Rudy said Epstein was a high value prisoner and many steps would have been taken to keep him alive.

BTW. Just what other bones were broken and how many? If he couldn't have dropped from a great distance how exactly did that happen? I think the PTB have decided that if people will believe that Russia put Trump into the WH they will believe anything.

@snoopydawg JE's cell had a bunk bed and had one other occupant until about 3 hours before JE was suicided. The cell might have been larger due to double occupancy.

@Alligator Ed

but I still don't see anything that he could have tied something to. And since we have been told that his cellmate was removed just hours before the deed happened why aren't we being told why the person was removed? The first attack was when Epstein's cell mate was an ex cop who had killed 4 people. Epstein told his lawyers that he was attacked. Since then there has been no follow up on this attack.

I posted this in the EBs, but will post it again because it's such a good comment.

Here is a comment I found on a Yahoo board referring to the WaPO article that told this same story, raising several additional, highly troubling issues:

"The case just isn’t cooperating with the whole “suicide” narrative. – The Washington Post reported last night that the autopsy of human trafficking pedophile Jeffrey Epstein found “multiple broken bones” in his neck.

That was revealed in the story’s opening paragraph. The Post of course spends the rest of this 25-paragraph piece doing everything it can to continue to prop up the “suicide” narrative. The fake newspaper’s writers and editors do this by carefully focusing only on the broken hyoid bone, which is a part of a man’s Adam’s Apple. The piece never again even mentions the fact that “multiple” bones were broken, nor does it specify which bones those might be. It’s as if that word, “multiple”, has no meaning and is to be ignored.

The writers and editors focus on the hyoid bone because it has been found to have been broken in a small percentage of actual, real hanging cases. The problem here is that, even if the official narrative is to be believed, Epstein could not have really “hanged” himself in the traditional sense of that word. In an actual hanging, the victim would be found dangling with his feet off the ground from a rope that had been strung through a light fixture or otherwise attached to the ceiling of the cell.

Big problem: Epstein’s cell had no means of doing that. The official narrative claims he hanged himself using a sheet he strung through the rail of the top bunk, which sits barely 5 feet off the floor. The narrative contends he then got on his knees and slowly strangled himself using that sheet around his neck. Now, the Washington Post wants you to believe that he was able to kneel forward with such force that he not only strangled to death, but he also broke not only his hyoid bone, but also “multiple” bones in his neck in doing so.

How did he do all of that? How did he maintain that intense pressure on his neck – which would have required an intense physical effort – without the human “will to live” impulse kicking in? Did he somehow bind his hands to prevent that from happening? If not, how did he maintain that intense effort until he actually expired?

The most unintentionally hilarious part of the Post’s article is the claim that the autopsy report has created “deepening questions around his death.” The problem our society has is that no one at the Washington Post or 99% of our mainstream news media is asking those questions.

There is no demand emanating from the halls of the Post or the New York Times or CNN or MSNBC or any other major “news” organ in America for Attorney General William Barr or FBI Director Christopher Wray or even for whatever moron heads up the Bureau of Prisons to hold a press conference and give our intrepid public watchdogs in the press a full accounting of the progress of the case. They’re all too busy obsessing over Beto O’Rourke’s latest re-boot of his campaign and Bernie Sanders’ interview with Cardi B to be worried about any of that.

The problem, of course, is that our fake news media organs have invested the last three years covering up for the seditious actions of the Obama-era FBI and DOJ, in the process building a narrative that these federal agencies are to always be trusted and can do no wrong. They’ve spent the last three years trying to brainwash the public to take whatever the likes of James Comey and Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe and Rod Rosenstein have to say as the gospel truth – even going so far as to hire the disgraced McCabe as a paid contributor at CNN – and as a result, it has become incredibly hard to now just turn on a dime and express some healthy skepticism about the veracity of the official narrative."

In other words, once a news agency has willingly turned itself into a government lapdog, it’s pretty hard to un-train that behavior. Maybe impossible.

And so we get reports like this one from the Washington Post.

My bold. But there are some good questions asked in this. Just too many unanswered questions not being asked.

And in the video is a clip of a movie I've never seen, but it shows a guy strangle another guy from behind, then use the ligature to affix the strangled guy to the inside doorknob and leave, closing the door behind him. Dead guy presumably would be found having hung himself from the doorknob by sitting on the floor.

Still don't believe the dead guy in Epstein's cell was Epstein, though. Poor bastard just resembled him.

Epstein’s lawyers unsatisfied with suicide ruling, promise own independent probe

The legal team of Jeffrey Epstein said they disagree with the medical examiner’s ruling that their client hanged himself. Promising their own investigation into his death, they have demanded CCTV footage from his prison cell.

“No one should die in jail,” the lawyers said in statement, which blasts the conditions in which Epstein was held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York as “harsh, even medieval.”

Lawyers were “not satisfied with the conclusions of the medical examiner” on the cause of death of the alleged multi-millionaire, who stood accused of sex-trafficking underage girls. The examiner said that Epstein committed suicide in his cell on August 10 by using bedsheets to make an improvised noose.

In order to find out what really happened, the lawyers said they will conduct their “own independent and complete investigation” into Epstein’s death. They promised to take legal action to gain access to the “pivotal videos” from the prison “if they exist as they should.

We were told that the camera outside his cell wasn't working, but there are plenty more cameras in the area that they can access if they haven't been scrubbed yet. There were too many things that went wrong that night to have been a coincidence.

Did you see the photos I posted in the OT? I don't think that is Espstein. Nope..

Considering the overwhelming import of Epstein's arrest, including the fact that the President himself is linked intimately with the suspect, no extra effort is made at any level to ensure Epstein remains in custody and alive?

And good point about Epstein being connected to the current president, a past president, an ex governor and congress member as well as someone in the royal family. Protective custody? Protecting her from whom? Bitch is untouchable (yes, I called her that). Maybe some survivor of sexual abuse, in the general public, might flip out and attack her, but she's completely protected by her spook connections. She's perfectly safe and is the same guilty now as she ever was. Even Hillary isn't dumb enough to off someone with such tight Mossad connections. Though I actually wish she would, then we might actually rid the earth of two untouchable B-words, because Mossad would even the score, if not worse.

@Deja Her father, Robert Maxwell, was widely reported to be a Mossad asset who died under mysterious circumstances. He had built up more than $400 million in debt and illegally raided the pension scheme of his employees. His body was found in the water off his yacht in the Canary islands. Initially it was claimed to be suicide by drowning, but there was no water in his lungs so it was ruled to be a massive heart attach that caused him to fall off his yacht. There is a book that claims that he shook down Mossad for funds to cover his debts, threatening to reveal details of his interactions with Mossad and what he had done for them. They agreed, told him to sail his yacht from Gibraltar to the Canaries where they would meet and work out details. At this point, he was no longer an asset but a serious liability so they killed him. Epstein was very likely a Mossad asset that was very helpful in providing them with "persuasive" documentation. Now, however, he had become a liability, and it was important that he not be investigated too deeply so he was killed. The question now is Ghislaine more of a liability than an asset.
