whereever you are. I saw some short pictures flashing by on German evening news of the mall and it makes me all so sad. Whatever will be there with the parade and all that military demo, in LA a huge earthquake just hit the town and it feels like the world is shaking all over anyhow.

I lived more years of my life in Washington DC than I lived in Germany. I learned to love the city, though to me it was always a small village, when I came over to the US. Now that I returned to Germany, it feels even more so, a tiny village made great again by some tiny hands.

I shall return and you shall overcome. And we all have to get to normal again.

Is there a firework or will there only be military showing off their equipment?

I wished Leonard Cohens song would some day be true.

appears to be pre-planned and orchestrated by ruling elites as a diversion to drown out people’s feelings of anger — in the U.K., but I would bet in Germany and other countries as well.

Really great job...

Boat With 86 Migrants Capsizes Off Libya, Most Feared Dead

Yet another immense tragedy involving migrants out of Libya following Tuesday's deadly airstrike on a Tripoli migrant center believed carried out by forces loyal to Gen. Khalifa Haftar, which had killed at least 44 and wounded close to a hundred more: a boat carrying 86 people which embarked from Libya has sank in the Mediterranean overnight.

Per a breaking Associated Press report, the numbers of drowned and missing are staggering:

The U.N. migration agency says a boat carrying 86 migrants from Libya sank in the Mediterranean overnight, and just three people on board survived, with 82 missing.

The shipwreck late Wednesday off the Tunisian city of Zarzis came a day after a deadly airstrike on a Libyan detention center that killed at least 44 migrants.

For the past six years, since war engulfed both Libya and Syria, and since NATO's intervention to overthrow longtime Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi, over 1,500 migrants a year have perished in the Mediterranean while attempting to reach Europe, according to UN figures.

Following this deadly week for people trapped in Libya's still unfolding chaos it's important to remember how we got here. We previously detailed in Libya's Slave Auctions And African Genocide: What Hillary Knew how it was that—

"Libya went from being a stable, modernizing secular state to a hellhole of roving jihadist militias, warring rival governments, and open-air slave auctions of captured migrants."

Why the hell are we even sanctioning Syria when it was our military that invaded them and propped up Al Qaida and Isis to overthrow Syria's elected government? Arrogance and hubris thy name is America and its f'cking poodles.

British Marines Seize Oil Tanker Headed For Syria In "Aggressive" Operation

A huge development Thursday regarding enforcement of Iran sanctions and the West's economic war on both Damascus and Tehran: British Royal Marines seized an oil tanker in Gibraltar off Spain's southern coast while it was en route to Syria in what's being called an unprecedented and aggressive move to enforce EU sanctions.

As critics of the West's sanctions policy on Syria are noting: the European Union has for years allowed advanced weaponry to flow into the hands of anti-Assad jihadists, but it will act swiftly to block vital oil access to the war-torn and starved population.

Since the war in Syria started, the sickening pattern has been this: western and gulf weapons pour into Syria's proxy war, refugees flee the resulting chaos, sanctions strangle the common people further, and refugees who ultimately return then face the West's renewed slow economic strangulation of the war-torn country.

And we predicted before: the White House still fundamentally prioritizes weakening Syria as crucial in its ultimate goal of regime change in Tehran. In this sense, the "long war" for Syria could merely be in its middle phase, with the waters in both the East Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf set to continue heating up.

Syrians wait for days to get gas because of our sanctions on Syria and even though they have their own oil fields. But we're sitting on them just because no one will stop us from turning one country after another into a sh*thole including this one.

one of which I referenced earlier this afternoon.

Will wait to post the Fox News Business Channel video of RK with MB--until next week. For now, will post the original Tweet that I saw in the Dore video, last night.

Both are flat-out deceptive and incorrect. (Being polite!)

[my boldface]

SEC. 107. PROHIBITION AGAINST DUPLICATING COVERAGE.

(a) In General. Beginning on the effective date described in section 106(a), it shall be unlawful for—

(1) a private health insurer to sell health insurance coverage that duplicates the benefits provided under this Act; or

(2) an employer to provide benefits for an employee, former employee, or the dependents of an employee or former employee that duplicate the benefits provided under this Act.

Now, here's the third paragraph of this section, that RK must be referring to,

(b) Construction. Nothing in this Act shall be construed as prohibiting the sale of health insurance coverage for any additional benefits not covered by this Act, including additional benefits that an employer may provide to employees or their dependents, or to former employees or their dependents.

Again, according to both UMFA Bills, all medical services, to include prescription medicines--as well as dental, vision, hearing, and, even long-term care--are to be covered.

When I've seen Bernie pressed on this point, his answer is always that supplemental insurance for 'cosmetic' procedures will be permissable. I assume, because it's the only thing left. (meaning--not covered)

This statement is 'copied and pasted' directly from Bernie's Bill. Obviously, RK is either unaware of what's actually in the bill, or, he's intentionally attempting to mislead. (Will let Everyone decide for themselves, which it is.)

Wow! Couldn't believe this line - "Lets not fall into the media trap."

So, it's a media 'trap' if a Presidential Candidate is asked to explain his UMFA proposal? Truly, I don't even know how to process that statement. Smile

Anyhoo, it's my intention sometime in the next several weeks to ask RK 'what specific kind of medical services' can the aforementioned 'supplemental insurance' cover?

I'll report, if my Tweet is answered. (Not gonna hold my breath, though. Smile )

We had a fun trip to a fantastic Aquarium earlier today, which has almost become a tradition for us. (It, or a zoo.)

Have a nice long weekend, Everyone!

@snoopydawg

you that info.

BTW--thought of you. Already looked - you're one of the lucky ones (like us). They don't tax Utah. I was going to point it out to you. (They have a list on the website, I believe. Can't remember where, though.) But, please, be sure and double-check. Who knows? Could change.

You probably know about Chewy.com. Well, some items there are cheaper. But, Chewy doesn't carry the brand we ordered. (It was that manufacturer who told me about PetFlow.)

Again, purchases over $49, free shipping. Think it's $5.95 or some flat rate, if order not over $49. Know I probably sound like a fanatic--but, our sales tax is 9.75 or 9.0, depending. Over time, can add up on premium dog food and supplies (as I'm sure you know).

Anyhoo, it's called PetFlow. (Odd name, I know.)

PetFlow

PetFlow Customer Service:

Call us at 1-888-316-7297.

Text us at 41309. Hours: 9AM-10PM EST

I had an especially nice Customer Service Rep - Victoria. They can all be asked for by first name. (they'll call back, if tied up, or out to lunch) She was exceptional, IMO.

This site sells my food for $6 more than I'm paying for it.

BTW if anyone is feeding their dawgs high grain food it's causing heart problems in dawgs. Look up dawg food recall for this story.

grain-free food--breeder had her dawgs and Kaity's litter on Blue Buffalo Grain-Free (Large Breed Puppy) - and, so did we, for the first couple months.

Later, heard about reports regarding heart problems related to grain-free kibble. Then, after speaking to two of our vets, decided to switch to old fashioned type of kibble with high quality grain and protein. At least, until she's an adult, if not, permanently.

Fingers crossed that the new formula will be more 'satisfying' for her. After being on kibble with 35% protein, think that Science Diet was just a bit too low in protein for her to adjust to. Have more than half a bag left, so, will slowly transition her. So far, so good.

I did notice that Blue Buffalo Turkey Baked Snacks are cheaper at PetFlow, than at Wal-Mart. So, if you buy them, you might want to check it out.

It's because they sell a 24 oz bag--which I've not seen locally, in pet stores, or at Wal-Mart. In other words, I'm buying (locally) 10 oz bags. Now, only save 'a quarter,' but, that's getting 4 more ounces. Again, only works if paying no shipping, or sales tax.

Grain-free which I think is made in Canada. Had these big 25 lb. bags delivered to her place. Seemed quite expensive — I guess she thought “nothing but the best” for a family member and working dog.

@lotlizard

if that's her kibble of choice. Having said that--it's top quality, for sure.

When I did my 'kibble research,' I narrowed it down to three brands based on quality. One was Orijen, which I eliminated due to the super high cost of $105 for a 25 lb bag. We're going for a brand that's been around since the turn of the century, and, is also very high quality. (But, at least, a little bit more affordable than Orijen. Smile )

Hey, any dog is a 'best friend,' so, I'm happy that your friend could treat him/her to that quality of food--especially, since he/she was her service dog, too. Bet the dog loved it, and was well-deserving of such excellent care. Pleasantry

Have a nice rest of your holiday.
