Don’t wait. The time will never be just right.

I sat down to spew an Open Thread with hours to spare.
This week has been a blur. Monday I realized that I only have ten days to be ready to leave for the motorcycle trip. I jumped into pulling out gear, making sure bills are paid, making sure cards don't get turned off for foreign transactions, getting a phone plan and a first pass at packing.
It's late Thursday and I am frazzled.
There is a bunch of stuff to get down, including a couple of absentee Open Threads.
This is an OPEN Thread.
Have a great weekend!

A quick scan of the comments makes me think quite a few of us are opting for escape.
Thanks for stopping by.

I can relate at the moment Tim.
Up until a couple hours ago I was in a similar state. Now I'm mostly ready for my travel overseas, and feeling more settled, just as you will be in time.

Good morning, Tim ~~~
We, too, are headed out of the good ole US of A next week for 10 days. Haven't begun to get ready, but it's Friday! so, it will be a busy few days whipping everything into shape. My sister is coming from the Midwest to look after things here at home - like watering precious plants! Two weeks vacation with a nice 10-day time away - I can hardly wait!
Have a wonderful trip, Tim, and we'll look forward to your tales of adventure upon your return.
Have a productive day and weekend, folks!

Yeah!
Have a great time!

Have fun on your trip Tim.
I'll embed a bootleg recording of Peter Tosh live made at a stadium in Germany. We were on a big festival tour that had around ten acts with Crosby, Stills and Nash as the headliner. The German government censored the lyrics of Peter's songs related to Cannabis smoking and legalization. There were police armed with automatic weapons near the stage at every show to enforce this. Peter refused to perform the songs that had been censored with altered lyrics. He focused on his protest songs instead. Meanwhile, the crew guys for CSN smuggled in a couple pounds of super pure Coke from the USA along with the equipment. At that time the Coke available in Europe was by and large inferior. We (the US crew guys on that tour) all had a real good time touring the soccer stadiums of Europe. Sleep? Who needs it!
Thanks!

be careful, I am here in Germany now for two years
and still can't get used to how folks drive, either on their motorcycles, cars or big cargo vans, and also not on their bycicle or elektro-rollers driving style. Back in the days it wasn't that crazy. Nowadays it is dangerous stuff, especially because a lot of the smaller electro-scooters are so silent and you don't hear them coming from behind of you. And in cities everbody runs in front of your car and think that is quite alright, babystrollers included. Moms on bicycles have to talk and read on their cellphones. Can't live without them.
I am so curious to know what and how you feel about us (and dare you to be polite, I wanna know the truth).
hmmm, I hope to see you back in one piece and hopefully with some good memories.
Enjoy the alps and the whole trip.

Hey Biker Tim!
Biker hubby and I are flying out on 7/2 for an 8-day Fly and Ride through the Rocky Mts. Cruising Harley is accounted for and waiting for us in Denver. Good morning and hope you all have great vacations!
I'm just in from the AM blueberry picking. Already have a couple of gallons in the freezer, and another few weeks of harvest to go. Excellent crop this year.
I hope you enjoy your various excursions and fill your psyche with nature and the joy of new experiences. Hope everyone has nice weather too!
All the best...

We roll for Donner, dragging the travel trailer, on the 28th and then swing north for 8 to 10 days camping where no signals penetrate, so I hear ya. In fact, got to swap out a tire on the trailer today as part of the prep. Have a geat journey, and in the meantime, have a great first day of summer and weekend.
