I think I've been on that last road....
...based on the sign. Just read where they've opened the road to town after flooding undercut it and the road caved. Gotta run a few errands today so I'm glad I don't have to drive an extra 40 mins.
Spring is going to get nipped in the bud this week. Twenties and high teens due midweek. Maybe some blooms survive. The blueberries are loaded with buds, hope they withstand the weather.

Shouldn't the slide area have sliding rocks, on, conversely, be called a fall area? One of my favorite maladroit signs is "Slow Children at Play", a classic example of what commas are for.

Or try to check out from a grocery clerk who can't make change without a scanner. I'm pretty sure vape detectors don't make children learn anything valuable, but go on. Not doing too well today.
Emotionally, I'm all over the place. For those who don't know I've been going through a breakup the last month. I'm not going to place blame, we were both at fault, but it still hurts, and I did a really shitty thing to end it. I packed up all her stuff and drove it to her parents house, then dropped it in her room when she was out of town. (She moved out a month ago, but never got her stuff. We kept saying we were going to keep trying, and I really believed it for a while. More the fool I, I guess. I should have accepted it was over when I tried to end it the first time, a YEAR ago.)
I feel like crap, but hopefully this is a positive step. I wish her nothing but happiness, because we were terrible for each other. We had some GREAT times, but they were brief and vibrant memories, while the day to day was criticisms of each other, and generally being terrible, then apologizing afterwords. Not a good relationship pattern to be in, and it would only continue. No reason to believe it would change.
I'm sure she is very angry at me, and we will have to meet up one more time. (We have a joint Cell phone, and all my kids schools are in it. Worst case scenario, I change all the numbers to my emergency backup phone, but that's a pain in the ass. Would be easier to just sever the connection, and I hope we are able to be mature enough to do it and that Verizon isn't slimy enough to try to get money out of us. If they pull that shit I'm just handing back the phone. Also I apparently forgot a couple things, so I need to give that back to her to.)
Sorry to dump my personal baggage here. I'm just finally accepting that it's over. That's hard for me. It feels like failure, and it hurts. I just have to accept that clinging to something that's dead isn't going to resurrect it. All it can do is drag both of us down.

but other than that, not as much. Need to get out more, so if you have any suggestions in the Portland area, I'd love to check them out. Was downtown a couple days ago, and checking out the architecture of the old churches, and some of the bronzes near the library.

Old Portland Hardware and Architectural at 1667 SE Tacoma St. A little farther west is the Sellwood District with its Antique Row on 13th St. the buildings are as interesting as the products for sell. Ask a few questions and I am sure someone will direct you to other areas of interest.

Talked to my therapist this morning, which helped Immeasurably. Appointment Tomorrow, so I hope that helps.
On the plus side, Saturday took my kids to Ground Kontrol arcade, which was really cheap. (25 bucks for a couple hours worth of game time.) Apparently both of my kids don't much care for arcade games, but they adore pinball, which is something I find charming. (I couldn't play, Arm was in the sling and can't do the stance for a pinball game)
Got to show them my favorite table from when I was 16. (Star Trek: The Next Generation. Hey, It had good music and some funny as hell special features, including two ball launchers which were just cool) Son was more into the modern one, (Enjoyed "The Hobbit" which is actually pretty cool with some interesting pop ups and modern screens.)
Only problem with the place is it has the age old problem with arcades. They turn up the music so high you can't hear the game. (And for pinball that's a pain in the ass, because the best pinball games have GREAT music. I really regretted missing the sound on one of my daughters favorite tables.)
