it took me quite a while to remember my password. i haven't used it in three or four years.
i had no plans to ever use it again, but this just felt like the right thing to do. i am glad for your silent tip.

Long-time kossack divineorder passed away suddenly on Saturday February 16.
A retired teacher, he spent much of his time travelling the world with his wife, also a retired teacher, camping and photographing nature. He passed away while bicycling and birding in Costa Rica.
When home in the States, divineorder was a very active participant in political activism. Issues that he was passionate about included preserving and expanding Social Security, Medicare for All, stopping climate change and protecting wildlife and wild places.
Divineorder was above all a kind, pleasant and decent person with many friends both here at Daily Kos and other places on the net. He will be missed by his friends.
Here for those of us who just can't bear to go over to TOP?

There is always Music amongst the trees in the Garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it. ~ Minnie Aumonier
divineorder purposely uncapitalized his username. I received this message from him last year:
Hey, would you do me a favor?
My screen name is one word. JS starting shortcutting but it has no caps, on purpose.
divineorder
Thanks!
He told me how he chose his name.
(A church they went to) advocated affirmative prayer to a universal spirit, not an old white man sitting in judgement, but rather a father-mother-god. So instead of begging god for something, one says it in a way that accepts it will happen. Then accept the Divine Order. I got in the habit of vocalizing divine order when facing challenges and not knowing the way. It is a sort of acceptance and a way to create space for things to come about in due time.
..
Anyway, when I chose the dk name I went for using lower case and one word so as not to offend anyone by claiming myself as some deity or some such. Every time I see the name it’s a little boost to my spirit. Heh. How’s that for an explanation?
I saw him in a different light after receiving his message and I always felt that he was a very peaceful person who lived life in peace. He wanted his username spelled right so let's honor his wishes.

Thanks for doing that, I just saw it over there. Hardly visit there anymore.
divineorder was a great person and an excellent diarist. His calm, peaceful demeanor seemed to pervade any online forum in which he was participating. He will be missed.

so sad. Crazy how I can feel so connected to someone I've never met. Just goes to show how powerful a person's words can be. Deepest sympathies to JB & DO's family, both in person and online. Peace to all in this time of sorrow.

Joe's Memorial Announcement for DivineOrder Tops DKos Rec List!
And, it's so very well deserved!
Pigs are flyin' over at TOP, today! (Even Bernie's on top of their straw poll!)

hi bob...
i guess do is spending that infinite mojo well.
That was a "feel good" thought, Joe.
The world really felt different when I woke up today. I'm different. I did none of the usual things.
So that's how "infinite mojo" works. Leave it to divineorder.
[edit typo]
evening pluto...
yes, it does for me, too.
i think that it will all work out for the best, though.
Really was impressed at how well you handled everything...

Isn’t it amazing how death marks our humanity,
and brings otherwise diverse parts together. All we need to learn now, is how to do that in life.
