The last time DKos went after Tulsi Gabbard

So the corporate Dems at TOP are going after Tulsi again.

Daily Kos is backing state Sen. Kai Kahele, who announced his primary campaign earlier this week to take on Gabbard, who’s seeking the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020....
“Throughout her six years in Congress, Gabbard has repeatedly shown how out-of-step she is with mainstream progressive values, despite the fact that she represents such a deep-blue district,” Daily Kos political director David Nir said in the post.

Let's recall that this isn't the first time that the GOS endorsed a primary challenge to Gabbard.

Let's also recall that this isn't the first time that the GOS announced that Gabbard was beatable.
Selection_011_11.png

According to a new poll for Honolulu Civil Beat conducted by Merriman River Group, Gabbard's statewide favorability rating dropped from 64-19 two years ago to 50-29 today. Gabbard fares better in her home district, but she's still taken a bit of a hit there, too, falling from 67-17 to 58-25.
What matters most, though, is where Gabbard's support is—and isn't—coming from. Statewide, Gabbard earns positive marks from just 49 percent of Democrats, which is low given that we're talking about members of Gabbard's own party, while she gets a thumbs up from 48 percent of Republicans, a shockingly high score … ordinarily, at least. To put this in context, Hawaii's other member of the House, Democrat Colleen Hanabusa, has a similar 48-27 statewide favorability rating, but with 65 percent of Democrats viewing her positively and just 24 percent of Republicans doing so. That's a much more conventional split.

So how did DKos' primary challenge go?

Maybe, just maybe, the GOS doesn't represent anyone and is irrelevant.

centrist neo liberal values? I get confused. If KOS is against her that looks like a seal of approval to me.

TULSI 2020

@gjohnsit
I was there then and within 6 months of the Obama presidency I realized we had been bamboozled. He had the House, the Senate and the Executive. But he kowtowed to the banks, exonerated the war machine and basically said FU to single payer.

DKos called it 11th dimensional chess. We peons were told we did not have the intelligence to understand Obama's game plan.

It is very interesting that the C99'rs were eventually proved correct in their assessment of the situation and necessitated their BOJO'ing lest they 'infect' the True Believers.

BTW, the reason for my BOJO was because I was a Russian plant who had "an unusually good command of the English language". The fact that I joined in 2009 just "proved" to them how Putin had planned his "destruction of American democracy" well before anyone had realized they were under attack.

The people remaining are the same people who fell for the Iraq War fraud.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen comments like this that say that Vlad had planned on meddling in our country for a very long time. And that most of us here, on Reddit and the other blogs that popped up after the ides of March were all Russian plants that just waited patiently for Vlad to pull the trigger and activate us into action.

I wish I was joking, but I'm not. People who have bought into Russia Gate hook, line and sinker have gone completely insane in their beliefs about this. And apparently Trump had planned on running for president for decades and he knew that he could count on Vlad's help. I'm guessing that this was planned when Vlad was president for the first time. Or something ...

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

@CB

I wanted to say that they probably won't happen because no one is left there that would do that. It's darn funny though that they are giving people who say something about Kampala's tenure as attorney general crap about it and then they turn around and give Tulsi crap. I'm guessing that they don't see their hypocrisy?

And after we were told that he was playing chess we got "he's got the republicans right where he wants them."

Ahh the memories.

awesomest story!! Sad, yet, hilarious at the same time. They should adopt a new slogan, "DKOS: It's got electrolytes!"

@dervish The same is true of Tulsi supporters. They start with the desired conclusion and fix the narrative around it. Logic and consistency be damned.

Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.

dailykos for the bought and paid for mouthpiece it is. Thanks to Bernie being anti-establishment, markos has blown his cover and is losing credibility on social media. Before it was bojo'd sour grapes. Now it is everywhere. We just need to keep exposing him and calling out the propaganda everywhere we see it.
