The Logos of Urania
I do not know the future, for all is flux
within the various states of being
The bodies within the skies whirl in time
and those that study can see the patterns within.
The mockery of the ignorant will ever be
for so secure are they in their tiny spheres
that they cannot realize that many bodies
rotate and affect each other, and what is true
upon one small slip of footing and muck
is not the whole of the existence upon
this tiny speck. So the denial of the patterns
rings loud from the academy and the assembly
assuring us all that this time the omens
that the oracle reinforces are the lies
and it is the will of man that will grant
all manner of good. If only other man would not fight.
So they rail against fate, claiming that the
orbit is merely a figment of the mind
that their own world stands at the center
of all creation, their struggle the fulcrum
around which all creation shall be moved.
Neglecting of course, to provide a firm
place to stand. And with their pressure
the lever shall shatter. The machine thought simple
and a kind and obedient servant of man
exerting the force that breaks the bar
thought to use to fracture the shackles.
Mortality which keeps man leashed to the cycle.
A crutch for the weak can become a hobble for the strong
A weight that smothers potential with kindness.
Slicing flat that which should offer resistance
under soft words and guidance of a sharp knife.
And so the grand dreams are neglected,
the heavens ignored as man brawls clumsily
among the mud and dung. Blood and ash
obscuring the skies and the vision.
But upon this clear night, lift your eyes
from the wreckage that lies around you.
Remember the everlasting cosmos that the gods
have granted as memorial to cycles past.
They will remain constant for longer than
the empires of man shall be able to name them.
For this moment in time has happened before
and shall occur again, under the light of stars.

So, Urania was considered the muse of Christian Poets.
And she's also considered to be a fortune teller who can tell the future by the arrangement of the stars.
Thanks to her for the rather interesting take on modern day. And Troy.![Smile](https://caucus99percent.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
Morning, detroit. Thanks. Two possible typos or
autocorrect malfunctions ??:
The mockery of the ignorant will every be -- maybe ever intended?
for so secure are their in their tiny spheres -- maybe they ??
That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
Rewrite screw ups.

@detroitmechworks Not sure, but I think

Rgr. I'll make certain to check
Feedback is absolutely welcome, especially little technical screw ups that I should have seen but missed. (I freely admit to being in the 95% in five minutes is better than 100% in a week school of thought.)
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
another ode to her...
Urania, o'er her star-bespangled lyre,
With touch of majesty diffused her soul;
A thousand tones, that in the breast inspire,
Exalted feelings, o'er the wires 'gan roll—
How at the call of Jove the mist unfurled,
And o'er the swelling vault—the glowing sky,
The new-born stars hung out their lamps on high,
And rolled their mighty orbs to music's sweetest sound.
—From An Ode To Music by James G. Percival
Do you or your kids paint? Your logos series would make a great illustrated storybook.
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
Unfortunately I am not gifted in visual arts.
Although I envision this as a play, I can absolutely see what You're talking about with an illustrated story. If I had the money I'd love to have somebody like Jim Fitzpatrick or somebody who can really capture the Renaissance style to do pieces on the various muses, because they are a classic subject, and IMHO deserve classic representation.
Of course, that's mostly because I just want to give talented people work.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
Good One
many thumbs up
Thanks for reading!
