Curious how the Rethugs can elect another Justice before the Mid-terms?
Thank you Harry Reid.
Harry Reid Changes Rules in Floor Fight With Mitch McConnell
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) executed a rare power play to box in the GOP on Thursday night, setting a new precedent that effectively nukes a rarely used procedural motion and drawing a vociferous rebuke from Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
Yeah, that's right, the Turtle objected.
Oh my.
I give up. Have tried to copy the Turtle clip from cspan, twitter. Can't do it. Google it.

Goodness mio
When the dems had a chance to appoint a supreme, somehow they just couldn't get it together. Now the pubs are going to jam it down our throats. Yes massa. Will of the people be damned.
Zionism is a social disease
Gonna play devil's advocate on this one
Presidents, even ones that lose the popular vote, get to appoint Supreme Court Justices. That's one of their big powers. Trump gets to do this, and yes it will be awful, what did you expect? When you have the White House and both houses of Congress you should be able to push your agenda (it's really a testament to his incompetence how little he's gotten done).
The tragedy was Obama letting Congress get away with not voting on his appointment. The somewhat less tragic thing was the corporatist tool he nominated.
Jimmy Dore has an interesting perspective -- he thinks the reason they didn't fight was that they wanted this to be an election issue for Clinton -- oh, noes, you don't want Trump nominating a Justice!! Vote for Her.
Another great plan.
Now El Trumpo gets a second one. Booker was in front of a microphone today saying that Trump shouldn't nominate anyone because RUSSIA!! Seriously, that's all they've got.
The fail is strong with the Democrats.

And a third?
He'll likely have a third appointment before he starts his second term. Justice Ginsburg is 85.
Of course, you never know. My dear parents are older than Ruth Ginsburg, and they were both out cutting hedges yesterday.... Saint Ronnie was oft photographed dressed in denim, out splitting rails - or something or another.
