The Week Article: Here's the Path Forward
Here's the path forward for Bernie Sanders and his revolutionaries
I am in it to win it and want Sanders to go all the way to convention. That being said, Sen. Sanders has tapped the hearts and minds of a LOT of folks and we should be thinking about how to parlay that into pushing this movement forward. Ryan Scott of The Week gives his thoughts. A snippet:
So with a triangulating neoliberal as the likely Democratic nominee, and a crypto-fascist as the Republican one, where are Sanders supporters to turn?
One answer came from a much lower-profile race in Cook County, Illinois. The incumbent state's attorney, Anita Alvarez, was obliterated by challenger Kim Foxx by nearly 30 percentage points. Alvarez became infamous for failing to file charges for 400 days against the Chicago police officer who gunned down Laquan McDonald, a black Chicago teenager. (snip)Timothy McGinty, the prosecutor who did not indict the policeman who killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice in Cleveland, Ohio, also went down to defeat. (snip) Activist pressure has already forced Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to fire the police superintendent in a desperate effort to keep his own position, but he is likely the next target.
These results illustrate a key fact about American politics: The further down the political ladder you go, the easier it is to cause change. Five thousand committed activists can't swing a presidential primary, but they can completely overturn the politics of a medium-sized county. Most people don't even know who their state-level representatives are, and a great many of them run unopposed.
I think this article is worth a read, and win or lose, we must harness this energy now present to further progressive causes...because the paid and bought for politicians sure won't.
Sen. Sanders will have serious coattails and could serve to promote local down ticket Progressive Dems, keep a face to the movement...that is if the party doesn't split (which could happen, Trump or no Trump).

I stand with Bernie.
No matter what, I will vote for him in the primary and the general. There is no other option for me.

Bernie has told us many times that it's not about one candidate or one election. It's about a political revolution for equity and justice. If we want to move that revolution forward,if we want to strengthen that revolution, then we must fight for every vote in every state. We have the organization,we have the volunteers,we have the donors,we have the people. Now we need to show the ruling class that we have the will, the determination,to continue the struggle.

Me as well....
And when he wins....what of this mass move of folks? Can't we utilize it for forward progress?
I mean these wonderful people here and at reddit and other places have put together a network that should be built upon. Obama had a move of folks too at one time but didn't harness it except for donations. He could have had us marching in streets, pushing for changes badly needed..infrastructure spending, prescription drug ripoffs, etc.
If he isn't the nominee,
I want him to run as an independent. I admire and gree with Kshama Sawant.
