I Like To Move It

Imagine all of our "obstacles" resigning, that would MAGA. Good morning ArabNews:

Madagascar prime minister Olivier Mahafaly Solonandrasana said he “cannot be an obstacle to the life of the nation” when he announced his resignation.
...
ANTANANARIVO: Madagascar’s prime minister announced his resignation on Monday in the first step toward the naming of a “consensus” premier to resolve a political crisis sparked by controversial electoral reforms.
Madagascar has been rocked by violent protests since April 21 that initially sought to oppose the new laws the opposition said were crafted to bar their candidates from participating in elections planned for later this year.
The Constitutional Court has ordered President Rajaonarimampianina to form a government of national unity with a “consensus prime minister” to avert a full-blown crisis. For that to happen, the current government was required to resign and the president was ordered to name a new prime minister by June 12.

Jordan’s politicians scramble to quell tax law protests

AMMAN: A parliamentary tug of war is taking place in Jordan in an attempt to defuse public anger at an IMF inspired income tax law that has caused widespread protests.
Unions called for another one-day strike on Wednesday amid a groundswell of daily protests against the tax increases.
About 3,000 people demonstrated amid a heavy security presence on Saturday night and into Sunday morning near the prime minister’s office in Amman, waving Jordanian flags and signs reading “we will not kneel,” AFP reported.

huh! Go citizens of Jordon, say NO to the IMF.

@eyo
transfer of power, so far in Madagascar seems like the beginning of a very good thing. And, of course, any and all push back and revolt against the IMF, all of its policies and ideologies, everything it does and stands for and all the harm it does is wonderful.

@enhydra lutris thanks, I saw a gopher snake on the River path at the end of my long walk yesterday. First snake I saw this year, about a foot long. Cool, but wow it was hot yesterday.

43,500 opium poppies planted in plain sight in CA town. Yearly yield: 4 pounds of heroin
It bugs me that all California Sheriffs seem to have outsourced their press releases to Facebook, it is disgraceful. Sonoma County is being outsourced to death's doorstep after the wildfires, it stinks really bad, PU public/private just kill me now.

Soon there will be no commons at all, everything needs a private partner or a non-profit charity with a six figure CEO etc.. "That's the system." meh

A much needed and welcome change to the weather. Otherwise, a busy day: rehab, bill paying, documents to finish, house cleaning, laundry and so on...

Perhaps, a stroll in nature may be squeezed in this afternoon.

Many thanks for this OT and tunes, in hopes the west coast brings you a delightful day.

@smiley7
up. Hope you get in your nature stroll. We'll be taking ours later this morning, our weekly walk at the lake. My back is extra cranky today so it will be at a slower than usual pace, but maybe it will help.

Here too there are all the assorted routine chores and tasks. I have decided just to call them "life", because "life goes on" and so do they. Have a great Monday.

@smiley7 I've been missing all sorts of entries including yours due to my crazy schedule lately. Hope you doing O.K. Glad you're getting a break from the rain but I wish you could send some of it down my way. Things are dry and hot in this area.

A recent press conference in Brussels, near the new NATO headquarters, presented by 2 groups of architects, engineers and lawyers. Longish (1.5 hrs) but a thought provoking display of proven facts and lies.

@enhydra lutris thanks for the OT tunes, numbers & dates. Short version of link:

2 groups together petitioning US court in NY to create a grand jury who's purpose it would be to consider forensic evidence regarding the official government explanation of 9/11. Various topics include AUMF, JASTA, GLADIO, Nano-Thermite, NATO Article 5, COOP (continuity of government operations), FOIA & various characters from Architectural and Engineering Societies, lawyers and witnesses.

Probably a bit heavy for a Moanday Morn, but I'm stuck here with with a cold rain and a fire in the woodstove (fire and rain). May the truth set you free.

That is currently all over the news is the "Wedding Cake" story.

Although it gives me some great material for the CNU course about how the cults demanded that displays of fealty in one direction or another served zero purpose except to divide the people further while the rich continued to loot.

@detroitmechworks
skimmed simplistic newspaper statement as to the matter and am not at all surprised. The narrowness and specific argument and facts make the decisin seem reasonable. OTOH, the Supreme Court is infamous for seemingly forming a conclusion based on some other grounds, and then crafting and formulating arguments, reasoning and precedents to support it. One cannot help but strongly suspect that it is simply a case of "religion trumps all these days". We shall see, as they say, but with the current court I see no grounds for expecting the courts to support people and human rights against the tyranny of religionists.

at myself for knowing so little about the suffragettes. This Emily Davison person...wow.
You consistently put someone in your list that I just have to find out more about. I feel like I'm in school (thanks for all the homework Smile ). I do appreciate your OT's when I catch them though.
