The Awans are finally back in the news after months of a media blackout about the Pakistanis who had access to many democrat's information on their computers

There has been an information blackout on the Awans since news broke that DWS warned the Capital police chief that there will be consequences "for not releasing her computers to her after he confiscated them.

"Tim Canova, who has had up-front and personal experience with the corruption of DWS and her minions, has called for her to be banned and barred frim any and all investigations into the shady (criminal?) activities involving the laptop found by the capital police in the ‘phone booth’ in the Rayburn House Office Building that she said belongs to her. But has she really kept her distance?”

Canova's statement on this:

In South Florida, Wasserman Schultz was condemned by Tim Canova, who unsuccessfully challenged Wasserman Schultz in the 2016 Democratic congressional primary and has indicated he may run again in 2018.

“We demand that Wasserman Schultz recuse herself from the House Committee on Appropriations' Legislative Branch Subcommittee on any matter dealing with the Capitol Police budget,” Canova wrote in a Facebook post. “Now she uses her position on this subcommittee to threaten the chief of the U.S. Capitol Police.”

To start you off with some background information about them, here's what our Alligator wrote on the history of the Awans and their involvement with some of our congress members.

Every one of the 44 House Democrats who hired Pakistan-born IT aides who later allegedly made “unauthorized access” to congressional data appears to have chosen to exempt them from background checks, according to congressional documents.

All of them appear to have waived background checks on Imran Awan and his family members, even though the family of server administrators could collectively read all the emails and files of 1 in 5 House Democrats, and despite background checks being recommended for such positions, according to an inspector general’s report. The House security policy requires offices to fill out a form attesting that they’ve initiated background checks, but it also includes a loophole allowing them to simply say that another member vouched for them.

Among the red flags in Abid’s background were a $1.1 million bankruptcy; six lawsuits against him or a company he owned; and at least three misdemeanor convictions including for DUI and driving on a suspended license, according to Virginia court records. Public court records show that Imran and Abid operated a car dealership referred to as CIA that took $100,000 from an Iraqi government official who is a fugitive from U.S. authorities. Numerous members of the family were tied to cryptic LLCs such as New Dawn 2001, operated out of Imran’s residence, Virginia corporation records show. Imran was the subject of repeated calls to police by multiple women and had multiple misdemeanor convictions for driving offenses, according to court records.

For what reason would members of our congress give a Pakistani family access to their information on their computers? Why were they allowed to get away with doing this for so long? Did those congress members have a choice whether the Awans would be put in charge of their computer IT? If not, then why not? Who made the decision for them to let the Awans do that?

Was the FBI aware of that arrangement and if they were then who made the decision that they had no authority to investigate why a Pakistani family got to have access to classified and confidential information? Seriously, WTF was going on? This sure puts Russia Gate in perspective, doesn't it?

Tim Canova lost the primary too DWS and he immediately started questioning the validity of it because the ballots were destroyed before they could be recounted and he has brought the Awans' case (crimes) back from the black hole of the media black out.

Capitol Police Accidentally Gave Evidence To House Hacking Suspect’s Defense Attorney

The House IG said Democratic IT aides made unauthorized access to data, but prosecutors haven’t charged them

Democrats appear to want to keep the case out of court; a trial could expose their reckless IT practices

Capitol Police didn’t make arrests despite numerous red flags and then ‘inadvertently’ gave evidence to defense attorneys that was supposed to go to prosecutors

Prosecutors appear to be sharing info with someone on Capitol Hill who is leaking details to the hacking suspect’s lawyer

The Capitol Police turned over a trove of evidence in the alleged Imran Awan House cyberbreach and theft case to the defense attorneys when they were supposed to deliver it to prosecutors instead, according to court documents and a source.

Awan, three relatives and a friend ran IT for one in five House Democrats and could read all their emails and files until they were banned on Feb. 2, 2017, for “numerous violations of House security policies.” The violations alleged by the House Office of Inspector General include logging into the House Democratic Caucus server thousands of times without authorization. This allegedly occurred during the same period in 2016 the DNC computer files were downloaded hacked.

{ both links deserve a read }

Gowen — a former aide to failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton — said he learned of the story through someone on Capitol Hill. “I have been told by my source on the Hill,” he said.

If true, this would imply congressional staff, or possibly even members, are feeding information to the attorney of a hacking suspect.

Awan exclusively worked for Democrats, including Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who formerly headed the DNC and whose brother is an assistant U.S. attorney in the D.C. office.

Democrats, meanwhile, have publicly underscored the importance of cybersecurity, expressing outrage at what they say is President Donald Trump’s involvement with the 2016 hack on the DNC.

One aspect of the Mueller investigation is the claim that Russia hacked the DNC's computers and gave the information to Wikileaks for them to influence people into not voting for Hillary. There is also the claim that Trump knew that the Russians did that because he said during one of his campaign events that "if Russia finds Hillary Clinton's missing emails let us know." This was after Hillary said that she had destroyed 30,000 of her private emails even though she was ordered to turn them in to congress. The FBI was refused access to look at the DNC computers so we have to take CrowdStrike's word for it that Russia was responsible for the hack.

Gulfgal has made this excellent point many times before and she again posted this today in another essay here.

I am referring to is the lie that Russia hacked the DNC. This lie has been disputed based upon a technical reasons that proved that the DNC information had not been remotely downloaded. Both the Forensicator and the VIPS have similarly concluded that the DNC data was not remotely downloaded based upon differing, but not inconsistent with one another, analyses. That made the DNC leaks actual leaks, not hacks. As for Podesta, he was so careless with his password and information that any computer savvy 10 year old could have accessed his information.

The second part to all this that is conveniently dropped from all reporting is that both the DNC emails and the Podesta emails were taken from private computers, not from the US government. The DNC is a private corporation and Podesta is a private citizen. Why is the US government involved in these cases? If I was as careless as John Podesta with my password and a 10 year old was able to access my emails, would the US government come racing to my rescue?

The democrats have spent close to two years pushing that Russia hacked the DNC computers and have been admonishing Trump for not taking cyber security seriously all the while hoping that people won't find out about what they allowed the Awans to do. For years!

I just did a search for the Awans and the only articles I found are from 2017. Let's hope this changes soon.

(thanks go to Amanda for helping me with this)

CLASSIFIED the Microsoft Windows way, hahahahahahahahaha! I mean when gaming platforms and dropbox are the way Congress loses secret shit to the Awans, well .... it cracks me up. Until I remember the absolute horror and suffering Her Heinous perpetuated through her deep state department shenanigans, may she feel the same in return. Goes around comes around. Luke Rosiak of The Daily Caller is the only reporter who has been following the Awan story consistently. In a story published on May 24, Rosiak covered the latest in the Awan scandal in which the Capitol police inadvertently gave evidence to Chris Gowan, Imran Awan's attorney. This evidence was intended to be delivered to the prosecutors.

The Capitol Police turned over a trove of evidence in the alleged Imran Awan House cyberbreach and theft case to the defense attorneys when they were supposed to deliver it to prosecutors instead, according to court documents and a source.

Thus far, Imran Awan has only been charged with bank fraud and the trial in that case has been postponed several times. The Awans have yet to be charged with spying or the unauthorized removal of data from Congress.

I am glad snoopydawg has brought the Awan case back up. There is far more to the Awan spy case than meets the eye. This is why the Democrats in Congress and DWS are fighting it so hard. I believe it goes to the heart of a vast network of corruption in Congress.

@gulfgal98 thanks, I am not following the Daily Caller too closely and missed the "inadvertently gave evidence to Chris Gowan" oops. wtf?
Browsing their archives I am interested in the tech details that accompany each SNAFU, so I read this again:
Wasserman Schultz Admits Hill IT Security Violations, Blames House Administrators For Not Stopping Her [VIDEO]

Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, whose office equipment U.S. Capitol Police seized in a criminal investigation into congressional network security violations, admitted she violates official information security policy and blamed the House’s chief administrative officer for not stopping her.

I wanted to know more about the "House’s chief administrative officer", a.k.a. the CAO:
https://cao.house.gov/about-us
The tech part, omg it is called HIR! good one

House Information Resources
House Information Resources (HIR) ensures the House community has secure access to the House network, as well as the technology, software, IT infrastructure, and support required for House offices to do their jobs. HIR also hosts websites for hundreds of Members and Committees and manages the website for the House of Representatives, House.gov

There's that "access to" phrase again. Nothing about "egress from" but go on...
The chiefs name is Philip G. Kiko

In the late ‘80s, Mr. Kiko worked in the Executive Branch at the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights and at the Department of Interior’s Office of Legislative Affairs, Office of Budget and Program Resources Management, and Office of Hearings and Appeals. His service at the Department of Interior, which included the oversight of its administrative, fiduciary, and appellate administrative law cases, laid the foundation for his next endeavor in 1995 when he returned to the Hill as Associate Administrator of Procurement and Purchasing at the newly-formed CAO.

huh! Bill Clinton Congress appointed a Reagan guy to create this whole mess, now the creator is back in charge again. Is that full circle SNAFU or what? lol

good luck

I had written about how McCabe and others allowed the Misses to get on the plane even though she had an arrest warrant out on her.

It's here in your essay on the Awans. Lots of links about the FBI ect in my comment there.

From Canova's tweet and the Reddit forums that linked to it, it seems that the only ones who are not talking about this is the democrats and the other rats in our government.

@gulfgal98 @gulfgal98

to the effect that Hillary could not be properly investigated/charged because this would uncover a tangled mess which would take down the entire government?

And, coincidentally, that appears to be what was needed to be done to get the corruption out before the 2016 election for a nice, fresh start with an actual free and fair election...

Edited to remove a redundant word, as I'd already had enough of 'that' in that sentence, lol.

The Awan's were ISI (Pakistan's CIA equivalent). CIA involvement would explain the rethuglican ambivalence to this story which you would think they would be shouting from the roof tops.

George Webb suggests the Awans were involved with arms shipments out of the US in the trunks of stolen cars as well as drug shipments into the US using diplomat cover both ways to prevent searches. Think director Gina the torturer will inform us? No, I don't either.

Kinda curious how all the Awan's were paid the max allowed while spending most of their time out of the country.

Thanks for the essay SD!

@Lookout This smells to high heaven of CIA involvement. And the CLintons have been heavily involved in these arms/ drugs/ human trafficking deals dating back to their days in Arkansas and the Mena Airport.

Bottom line, this is not a simple case of an IT person and his wife defrauding the credit union.

however will any of it see the light of day? We know the MSM will ignore this potent story. If no one knows of the corruption does that mean there was no corruption? Evidently.

Thanks to you, AE ,and SD for keeping our conversation current on this stinking mess! I appreciate you all.

The Awans have the full power of the Evil Queen and remnants of the Demonratic party suppressing any Awan mention to the public--i.e., the ignorant among us, who think Walter Cronkite still works for CBS (even though he wasn't all that unbiased) and that NYT publishes all the news fit to wrap fish, er...print. is that no one is covering it, except for the Daily Caller. I was amazed when I read Canova's tweet about it.

DWS is crooked and it's a huge conflict of interest that her brother is connected to the Seth Rich case.

Will we ever get to see what this is about?
