Russiagate in the U.K.
ScaryRussia/ScaryPutin isn't just for the U.S.
Britain has developed their own version, which is just a cheap knock-off of ours.
Like our Russiagate, it starts with the spies.
In the first public speech outside Britain by a serving head of MI5, Andrew Parker said Britain did not want to escalate tensions with Moscow but that a series of recent aggressive and pernicious actions directed by the Kremlin were unacceptable.
...
“The Russian state’s now well-practised doctrine of blending media manipulation, social media disinformation and distortion along with new and old forms of espionage, and high-levels of cyber attacks, military force and criminal thuggery is what is meant these days by the term hybrid threats.”
OH NO! Did RT cover peaceful protests and host 3rd party debates in Britain too?
How horrible.
I guess we'll find out.
Britain’s media regulator on Monday opened a further three investigations into Russian news channel RT to see whether it had breached impartiality rules in its reporting.
...Ofcom said on Monday it was now investigating 11 RT programmes for breaching impartiality rules, with the latest three cases concerning its coverage of U.S. foreign policy, the policies of Ukraine’s government and fracking in Britain.
Judging by the way the news media has covered Jeremy Corbyn, there is certainly a "high standard" for impartiality in Britain. /s
Like Washington, London is trying to take Russiagate on the road.
British diplomats plan to use four major summits this year – the G7, the G20, Nato and the European Union – to try to deepen the alliance against Russia hastily built by the Foreign Office after the poisoning of the former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal in Salisbury in March.
“The foreign secretary regards Russia’s response to Douma and Salisbury as a turning point and thinks there is international support to do more,” a Whitehall official said. “The areas the UK are most likely to pursue are countering Russian disinformation and finding a mechanism to enforce accountability for the use of chemical weapons.”
Is anyone but me not terrified of "Russian disinformation"?
A government is lying? That's never been done before.
This last article goes a long ways towards explaining why Brexit matters so much to the political establishment.
“The Government should work with the EU, and with the U.S., to prohibit the purchase of bonds in which a sanctioned entity has acted as book runner,” the U.K. Foreign Affairs Select Committee concluded in a non-binding report published Monday. “It should also seek EU agreement to bar the European clearing houses from making available Russian sovereign debt.
Britain leaving the EU means Washington will lose its attack dog member in the EU.

UK will be neocon bulldog not allowing better relations
I think UK still in Nato? With Trump doing a hit-and-run over the EU it would be natural for some EU countries to look for better relationship with Russia. Ain't gonna happen as from article looks like UK will be leading the charge against Russia. The phony nerve gas poisoning was just the start. Seems the Europeans will just roll over and obey at any false flag operation.
Given that companies already announcing no more future trade with Iran, looks like Trump has the Europeans by the proverbial balls.
I don't actually think
the Europeans have any balls.
Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.
Cuba is a dead horse, stop beating it.
The U.K. has been like this as long as I can remember
after WWII, as America became more powerful and the Brits less so, they latched on to the U.S.
The hope was that they wouldn't be seen as a junior partner. Didn't work. The Top 100 for 1958 shows how much they loved that American music.
We've seen how they get Prime Ministers who eerily parallel our Presidents. Reagan/Thatcher. Clinton/Blair. Bush/Blair!. Now Trump/May, although Johnson would probably be a closer match. Or Farage.
They're probably driving jacked-up pickups now, too. I don't know for a fact but I bet so!
Lol, nice to hear that this occurred
to One Who Actually Knows About This Stuff - I suppose that's why they're panicking and trying even harder to bully others into dumping support, rather than joining in a coalition with, the only power that can fend off the US Psychopaths That Be.

Funny, I never got a notification for the 'details to follow' on this but:

The various (here unidentified) psychopaths behind these are not accustomed to attacking victims with the ability to defend themselves, never mind fight back; bet they're pouting now.
Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
