This is an incredible example of how media is captured by special interests. When someone pooh poohs you as being a tinfoil hat wearer (shine on you crazy diamond) please refer them to this.
What a surprise. That people still believe what they hear from the main stream media is baffling.

The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the dedicated communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction, true and false, no longer exists.

Hedges for prez!
I don't know how it gets any plainer than that.
Words we've been waiting to hear for 18 months.
At least.
Edited for the classic, belatedly noticed letter-typo. Some traditions never die.

Or would be if people paid attention.
But, I'm guessing that one of the more common reactions would be, "I don't get it."

It didn't show on a search I did (on DDG) to have it lined up and waiting while listening to Jamarl discuss it; I had to get there off of the link under the video, so it's possible that it may not show on other search engines either and be difficult to find and impossible to come across by accident, for all I know.
Inspirational and heartening, huh?

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

I am hung up on words, to be more precise I am annoyed by the inaccurate use of words. If we, as a society used accurate words, like "the corporate news," rather than vague meaningless phrases, like MSM, there would be fewer people saying, "I don't get it," [as Wink points out above,] or, "So what." (This isn't censorship, this is deception by omission, the omission of any alternatives to the corporately controlled news sources.) That individuals are pleased with being fed pablum is what drives us, who hold that 'variety is the spice of life,' and cherish our right and ability to chose and discern, a little bit crazy.
There is no "rugged individualism" in the USA: it's accepted that everybody should pay exorbitant fees for their own education and training so that everybody can get a job for life that only creates profits for their corporate masters, (because that's every child's dream /s). Everybody should always listen to the corporate news, news that promotes corporate wars and the exploitation of nature and humans, wars that only create profits for our corporate masters.
The mind-boggling aspect of all of this, to me, is that I wrote about media consolidation in college in the 1990's -- so the group-think train left the station long ago with almost everybody aboard. Now that I'm older I understand that America is the land of the free indentured and the home of the brave subservient. The corporate news often flatters the docile wage-slaves, and continually pumps the populace full of propaganda, merely to keep them somnolent, lest the sheep start to suspect they are being fleeced.
Just had to share it with my husband, who still watches the corporate news.

Grotesque, spooky and depressing. Wow.
I need to go immediately to watching a discussion between Chris Hedges and Cornel West I've wanted to watch, to clean my brain and restore my sanity.

Shred the PR and bury the propagandists beneath the confetti we make of it!
