OT ~ Welcome to Saturday!
Sit-a-while
on swinging porch
where tin-dippers and
sweet water
in cool touches
meet lips
from hand dug wells.
Good morning good people!
“Through its complex orchestration of time and space, no less than through the social division of labor, life in the city takes on the character of a symphony: specialized human aptitudes, specialized instruments, give rise to sonorous results which, neither in volume nor in quality, could be achieved by any single piece.
~ The Culture of Cities
“A day spent without the sight or sound of beauty, the contemplation of mystery, or the search of truth is a poverty-stricken day; and a succession of such days is fatal to human life.”
~ Lewis Mumford

Song of Prayer
Very nice! Lawson's SONG OF PRAYER is also good for a Saturday morning.
Few are guilty, but all are responsible.”

Some Saturday Morning Floyd Cramer
I am not big fan of the Nashville sound, due to it's consistent flag waving. But I do relish a few artists with ties to Tennessee ... including Floyd Cramer

Roll down the window, slip tray over edge eating
in car to sounds of the jukebox; hamburgers, french fries and milkshakes, so good. Thanks for the music, phillybluesfan, and memories.
Good to see you. Have a good one!

Good morning Smiley and friends....
It is a good Saturday morning even if still cold. Happy Spring, everyone.
"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."--Napoleon
How are those grandkids, dk; been to Europe visiting?
Missing you, great to see ya.
Freeze early morning, but a beautiful and cool Spring, blue-sky day on the mountain.
Love the soothing,
contemplative, meditative aspect of both your selections of music and art. I was not familiar with either but I like them both.
Good morning to all and it is spring here, not cold, but pleasantly cool.
I wish for calmness and peace for everyone. I wish we could concentrate on music and art and gardening and cleaning and making things better in general. Collectively, perhaps, we can move in that direction with all our seemingly insignificant steps.
Some music that in my mind, celebrates these notions:
Cheers, randtntx. Joining you in good desires this morning...

Your thoughts have made the morning, happy you appreciate the art, it's state of being.
Cogent music; Glass is a favorite of my son's and me, too. It's a good day, hope you and family enjoy!
Today IS a good day smiley.
It is a tree-planting, grass mowing, leaf-raking day. I live in the flatlands and that's what we do. I'm glad you have a beautiful mountain in your life. Some of my favorite and most astonishing memories are of when there were mountains in my life. I love and miss the mountains. But now I have canopies of trees in various places that I love as well. This morning we had a gathering of owls in the canopy. (Anyway it sounded like a gathering----very noisy critters :)). Here's wishing we can preserve all the canopies for all the critters everywhere.
So glad you like the Glass.
I started some seeds indoors, more to go.
I also 1/4 lb of wildflower seed for the NE; too cool yet to toss into the front yard I am reimagining as a meadow clearing in the trees. I got more rock$. Sunny and 42F here; one of my rock dealers in Indonesia said it was 33C last night.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Those wildflowers will be
blossoming soon, riverlover, as time seems to race by.
Just returned from purchasing two new tires as i couldn't find any used ones, but very necessary since i have to travel to Chapel Hill once a month for drug trial check-ups.
Shoulder shoulder surgery is also coming up and it's down the mtn as well.
Good to see you, as always, and a peasant day to you!
Good morning all. You sure make it difficult to get up , get out
and get going with those music selections. Nonetheless, I have to do just that, way too much to do in way too little time over the next few days. Everybody have a great day.
That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
