than I thought he did. There is hope, at least, that some of the younger generation gets it. Not that they can do much about it, but they're at least in the fight.

watched more than a few minutes of the video.

Somehow I couldn’t get past being reminded in general about the place of money in American campaigning, whether someone pays an obscene amount of money toward the candidate of choice or a humble donation of $27 dollars to a political candidate with a good cause. Thankfully, with the system that exists, there are so many with individual voices and a little money to support the alternative. But imagine substituting that approach with one that provides an equitable and reasonable amount of money and exposure for each candidate. Then there might be a chance of actually getting fair representation in government in a more permanent way.

@janis b

This is what many people want to happen. Get money out of politics because if congress members don't have to raise obscene amounts of money to get elected, then maybe they won't sell us out. But since they do have to raise so much money, that leaves them open to bribery.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

That's a very nice rock-sofa, but it's pointing in the wrong direction to sit and watch the sea. Tell us more about this photo.

@janis b
is intrinsically undemocratic and inevitably moves our government away from any chance of becoming a functional democracy of any sort.

In the flush of Obama's victorious 2008 Hope and Change campaign, he told all of those who were Hoping for real Change that it was now up to us to "make him do it", or words to that effect. Little did I realize at the time that what he actually was saying was that he had no intention of following through on his campaign slogans and that he intended to continue to support the status quo. He has served his masters on Wall Street and in the MIC very well, leaving the rest of us very little of lasting value.

@ovals49

It needs to become a major issue of discussion.
