Tonight at 12:00 midnight eastern time -- 9:00 PM pacific time, caucus99percent.com will be taken offline for maintenance. We should be back up sometime Sunday morning. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.
Thanks for all you are doing to accommodate the fleeing refugees. You are handling everything so well. We all appreciate it.
The new keyboard arrived today and it feels so good to be able to just type again. If you missed previous comments, my keyboard was failing and I even had to find an 'at sign' online to copy it to log in with my email. All is better now. I might comment more now!
It's one of those white metal Apple keyboards. Anyone have any tips on cleaning it and keeping it clean? I often eat at my desk, so that is something I should try to change. Apple says only use water to clean it, but of course water is not going to clean anything but maybe dust.
See you Sunday morning. Good luck with everything, Johnny.
I'm amazed at how smoothly you've transition to accommodating some 800 more users. Thank you to all the new users who seem to sorting themselves nicely and coming up with ideas eg: groups on specific subjects written by different authors. This would help the readers/commenters to find what there interested in also. I like how well users new and old are adapting to their new home and for us oldies their nice remolded home. Thank you to all but kudos to JtC, I'm impressed.
Thank you for all you do and have done on this site.
Isn't it wonderful to see your child growing? This has been an amazing week, not only with all our new members, but with all the great content that they are contributing. I love this place and you have made it a big reason why.

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.
I wanted to put it off for another day but we went down two more times again this afternoon and I feel we can't wait any longer. Give Mr. B a good ear scritchin' for me, OK?
Thank you and all the other "originals" at caucus99 for your kindness in accommodating we hordes of refugees! I feel completely at home here, and am looking forward to the future with you folks ...

This is one amazing community of people, and you Johnny Cakes, are an amazing person and host. You’re style is wonderful, it’s everything another human could want, even if you’re really an animal.
I don’t know how you do it, but it all works so well. Thank you.
you're welcome and thank you. How are things in NZ?
Here's a picture of yours truly, Johnny Cakes. This photo was taken last week during the last server migration, I'm perusing the old Evening Blues archives while waiting for c99p to come back online. I'm pretty cute, no?
she got tired waiting to play Angry Birds on grandpa's computer and fell asleep on the floor. I picked her up and put her in her tree right after that photo was taken.

I set my OT for 3:50 PST. Should I reschedule it?
Just don't want to cause any problems.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
Hi dmw...
Leave it scheduled, if it doesn't self publish I'll do it for you. Hopefully we wont be down longer than 8 hours.
Roger.
And thanks for doing this! We all appreciate the hell out of you for it.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.

Hi dr...
yes, new and improved server, with other improvements yet to come.
will it
be able to make soup, and polish the silver?
Yes and yes...
the real question is: Will it core a apple?
I guess we'll know tomorrow.
even more important...
will it go to the fridge, make me a sandwich and bring it to me with a beer?
Hi Joe...
I don't know, but if it does I want to marry it.
this is a great thread!
this is a great thread!
I'm not sure about the soup,
but polishing the silver is a definite possibility.
Thanks and good luck!

It's always a nice thing to donate to C99 when possible.
It benefits so many folks in a very direct and immediate way.
Even the smallest donation is immediately put to work building this strong safe place to birth a decent future for evolving human beings.
You built this.

Hey gg...
we out grew two servers in a weeks time. Pretty amazing, no?
Our goal should be to make it a force for change, and a voice for the marginalized left.
thanks for that, greatly appreciated /nt

Marginalized?
I'm not feeling to damned marginalized right now.
Spent the day talking to several Michiganders who are working hard in Illinois. They're pumped.

Marginalized in the past and
Empowered for the future!!! We are the power.

Thanks for the forewarning, JtC! It is
'amazing' how much this site has expanded its membership in a week.
BTW, after I walked 'the B,' the traffic here was so heavy, I couldn't immediately log back in, or even access the site.
Hey, your dedication and hard work is very much appreciated. "Break a leg!" as they say.
Hope folks are aware of the time change this evening.
We lose an hour, so--"Spring forward!"
Good evening, All.

Just as cute as I remember
I wonder though, who is that passed out on the floor?
It's still summer here, but slowly changing, and things are pretty peaceful.
That's my grand daughter...
she got tired waiting to play Angry Birds on grandpa's computer and fell asleep on the floor. I picked her up and put her in her tree right after that photo was taken.
aww, she's so cute
she takes after her grandpa.
You're right...
the banana did not fall far from the tree.
Nice hair, dude.
I keep losing mine.
