For thse who missed yesterday's brilliant column -

please be advised that the time has come around again for me to try to talk you into tossing some coin into the hat in order to keep the lights on. To wit:
'Tis a worthy cause, I tell ye.
That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
Thanks for the OT and music
...starting with the Bull Fiddle Boogie.
Similar to one of my faves....Bob Wills.
This cut is from '51 a couple of years after the Bull Fiddle recording (2.5 min)
[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFef08YZ6qk]
And I'll second the call for contributions from those who have the where with all.
It a beautiful day here in the valley and I hope yours is a good one too.
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
Good morning, Lookout, thanks for reading. Bob Wills was
played often enough in our house when I was a kid, and Spade Cooley too, before he killed his wife. There is something very special about western swing which percolates through the musical culture and shows up in Tthe Bakersfield Sound of Buck Owens, and, later on, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and this lovely ditty by some British dudes:

How 'bout this one:

We wanted decent healthcare, a living wage and free college.
The Democrats gave us Biden and war instead.
Thank you, el.
"February 18 is Pluto Day." I am assuming that's the anniversary of the day when Pluto's Republic gained independence?
Apparently, we've settled on Pluto's being a dwarf planet. https://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/k-4/stories/nasa-knows/what-is...
Most days when I read your date-based OPs, I feel entertained, which I appreciate them very much. Today, though, reading the OP made me feel so ill-informed. I must be feeling especially down on myself today. Or, maybe I'm just hungry. Think I'll try to figure out which by having breakfast now.
MMMM. Breakfast.
Have a glorious Sunday, everyone.
Good morning, HAW. In Pluto's Republic the cave is exposed
as a hall of mirrors for you to reflect upon. That said, breakfast sounds wonderful, but I think I need more coffee before trying to cook anything.

You give money now!
Or..Or..You're a 'Russian Dupe'!
That Volta? Electrifying!
Some days you just wish you could do this:
Have a good one all!
I want a Pony!
Good morning, Arrow. Electrifying indeed. The word, as sung
in a song I can't currently recall popped into my brain as I typed his micro-bio. Sailing away would indeed be nice, which brings to mind the question of when you will make like a migratory bird and return south.

astrologers have never paid any attention to Pluto, or to Neptune: the ancients couldn't see them, so they don't Count. The ancients couldn't see Uranus either.
Pluto in 2006 was criminally demoted because otherwise the Science Men would have had to declare a bunch of other celestial bodies planets, and they didn't want to do that. They decided there were already enough planets, thank you very much.
However, anyone who has ever been to space knows that Pluto is totally a planet.
Also, the Science Men will soon have to grapple with Planet X. And a bunch of
other orbs that are out there. As Robert Anton Wilson noted, there are two sizable planets there in the Pluto neighborhood: these, naturally, suggested he, should be named Mickey and Goofy.
Whenever the Science Men come up with a Definition, they eventually find it's kind of slippery, and it wriggles out of their grasp, like eels. That is why everyone in space laughs at them. Good-naturedly.
Too, it doesn't really matter how many planets there are or are not in the space, or are or are not in the astrology, because, like, say, tarot (and science, for that matter), astrology is just a tool to spark intuition.
The Frank Costello planet was the primary model for Vito Corleone in the true-life non-fiction tome The Godfather and the subsequent documentary film made from it. Pal of Roy Cohn, mentor to The Hairball. Costello's portrait will be prominently featured in the Hall Of The Mountain Kings that The Hairball has commanded shall replace the Smithsonian.
There is a problem with that death date for Michelangelo: since he is a time traveler, he is not actually dead. Still bouncing around out there.
Good morning, hecate, and thanks for the information
and inspiration.
As to using the movements of celestial bodies for sparking intuition, I think one could get by on Asteroid 3834 Zappafrank and Asteroid 4442 Garcia with an assist from Asteroid 11098 Ginsberg (which seems disturbingly far from Rockland). Refinements could be derived from analysis of the relative loci of Asteroid 5148 Giordano, Asteroid 13223 Cenaceneri and the lunar crater Giordano Bruno. Somebody could get creative with some planetarium software, but it won't be me.
Thank you muchly for the link to your 12th Night column. Was Leonard Vincent at all related to Gene Vincent?

your intuition
is working overtime there, el. Your question about Leonard Vincent/Leonardo da Vinci and Gene Vincent led me to this tube, in which we discover the DaVinci Rockabilly line of clothing. As there are no coincidences, we can clearly infer from this that Gene Vincent was/is, in fact, Leonard Vincent cum Leonardo da Vinci; the alleged sudden death of Gene, from the stomach ulcer while at his father's place, that was simply a cover for him going into the time machine to back there become Leonardo. Some further Proof: if you enter into the image-tubes the search term "rockabilly influences in da vinci pantings," this is what returns.
