Russia! Russia! Everywhere!

Ah! Scary Putin in Mexico!

Mexican voters, according to U.S. national security adviser H.R. McMaster, are now being targeted by Russia’s election interference operations, just as voters in the United States, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Norway, Catalonia and elsewhere have been.

The news that Washington has detected Russian interference ahead of Mexico’s July presidential election was revealed last weekend by the daily Reforma, some three weeks after McMaster gave a speech at the Jamestown Foundation in which he noted, almost casually, that U.S. intelligence had picked up “initial signs” of Russia’s “sophisticated campaigns of subversion and disinformation and propaganda” in the Mexican election.

Ah! Scary Putin in Europe!

A damning report to the United States Senate claimed the Kremlin will strike the European country with fake news and disinformation campaigns to stir up anti-EU sentiment before the country heads to the polls.
Italy has seen a resurgence of anti-establishment, populist parties in recent years, and some support pro-Kremlin foreign policies.

If you are anti-globalist, anti-neoliberal then you are obviously a Putin Puppet!

https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/mexico-missile-order-totals-98-million/

According to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the Mexican government had requested to buy six RGM-84L Harpoon Block II surface launched missiles, 23 Block II RAM tactical missiles and six MK 54 Mod 0 lightweight torpedoes and related equipment.

The DSCA said in a press release that “this proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a strategic partner. Mexico has been a strong partner in combating organized crime and drug trafficking organizations.”

The purchase will strengthen the maritime capabilities of the Mexican Navy, which will use the equipment to expand its existing support of national security requirements and combat criminal organizations.

AMLO's net worth is $300,000 if you believe the internets. So yeah, if he wins it would subvert the dominant paradigm. As far as creating chaos in elections goes, please STFU USA. There are no more free elections now DHS is in control. https://www.thoughtco.com/stalin-it-isnt-the-people-who-vote-that-count-3299175

@eyo can those missiles blow up trumpets wall? Another example of our MIC arming our neighbors.

@eyo

Are the missiles to be used against the domestic Mexican Russian-influenced opposition and citizenry that the Russian influence has caused said opposition to care about the welfare of? Or is this a start toward bribing the MIC in order to gain better relations with their investors in US public office?

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

@Ellen North and @QMS I guess the "War on Drugs" is back with vengeance, for real with bombs and everything. Can't wait for the blow back.

The purchase of missiles and other military equipment also includes personnel training and training equipment, technical assistance by the U.S. government and its contractor representatives, and engineering and logistics support and installation.

If finalized, the transaction between the militaries of both countries will also require annual trips to Mexico involving U.S. government personnel and contractor representatives for technical reviews, support and oversight for approximately two years.

Approval by the U.S. Congress could come as soon as next Friday.

Congress hasn't seen a war they didn't like for decades, if ever. good luck all

Wanna bet this is to cover for leaks, etc. via the Awan/Pakistani access that was provided them by the Clinton (who cares about National Security when inconvenient/profitable for us?) creature Debbie W-S on behalf of the (at least at some points utterly Clinton-bought/run) DNC?

Judge Napolitano: Awans Had Access To 'Virtually Everything' In House of Representatives, Sold Information
by ZeroPointNow
Mon, 07/31/2017

While the rapidly unfolding case against Debbie Wasserman Schultz's apparent Pakistani IT spy ring already had huge implications for National Security, we now learn that the investigation into the the Awan family encompasses more than just the House Democrats they were working directly for.

Judge Andrew Napolitano appeared on Fox Business Network on Monday where he dropped a new bombshell: not only did the Awans had access to the emails of every member of the House of Representatives, Imran Awan reportedly sold information to still unknown parties, which the FBI is currently investigating.

Napolitano: He was arrested for some financial crime - that's the tip of the iceberg. The real allegation against him is that he had access to the emails of every member of congress and he sold what he found in there. What did he sell, and to whom did he sell it? That's what the FBI wants to know. This may be a very, very serious national security situation.

Varney: Wait a second, he was the IT worker along with his two Pakistani brothers, for DWS, and other Democrats in the House - and the theory is that he got access to all of their secrets or whatever, and sold some?

Napolitano: Yes, and this was at the time that Congresswoman Schultz was also the chair of the Democratic National Committee. So at this point I don't believe they know what he sold, and to whom he sold it - but they do know what he had access to, which is virtually everything in the House of representatives, which would include classified material in the House intelligence committee. ...

And of course they'd somehow have been shut out of the Dems in the Senate and couldn't possibly have gained access to any Senate material?

Did Awans Cut A Deal? January Court Date Mysteriously Disappears From Docket
December 29, 2017

from ZeroHedge:

... Awan's court date on four counts related to bank fraud, which had already been reschedule twice, has disappeared from the docket altogether:

Which begs the question - did Imran Awan cut a deal with Federal prosecutors? ...

...To briefly recap, our report from last week, the Awan family - which was employed by quite a number of House Democrats, had full access to highly sensitive Congressional computer systems, both on-site and remotely from Pakistan, with which they are suspected of committing a variety of crimes - including brokering classified information to hostile foreign governments.

Everything I've tried just goes back to the Tyler Durden (Thu, 12/28/2017) article...

Anyone ever hear anything more on this, or are the Awans safely tucked under the Clinton wing of the Dempublican Party? And maybe under the "RUSSIA DID IT ALL!!!" banner?

This blogger seems reasonable/reasoning, (have never found this blog before, that I recall). might be worth going through his blog, time permitting. (Roommate's having kids this weekend, not sure when they're arriving, but soon.)

Understanding the Awan connection

...I’d also like to know more about the security implications of the theft of the IT equipment and the “serious, potentially illegal, violations of House IT policies.” The theft and breaches of policy reportedly affect the offices of more than 20 members of Congress.

Which members? In addition to Wasserman Schultz, Awan and his family members reportedly have worked for Democrats on the most important House committees from a national security and foreign policy standpoint:

The five. . .employees worked for at least three members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and five members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs were among the dozens of members who employed the suspects on a shared basis. The two committees deal with many of the nation’s most sensitive issues, information and documents, including those related to the war with radical Islamic terrorism.

Jamal Awan handled IT for Rep. Joaquin Castro, a Texas Democrat who serves on both the intelligence and foreign affairs panels.

Imran Awan handled IT for Rep. Gregory Meeks, a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee where he is the Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia, and Emerging Threats.

Imran Awan also worked for Rep. Andre Carson, an Indiana Democrat and one of two Muslims in the House of Representatives, and Rep. Jackie Speier, a California Democrat. Both are members of the intelligence committee.
...

...Finally, according to Raisley, Imran Awan had access to Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s iPad password. This probably means the brothers had direct access to DNC emails. Might they have sold them to Russians? Might they have sold them to non-Russians?

Clearly, I’ve entered the realm of speculation. But if the mainstream media is going to speculate endlessly about President Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia, shouldn’t it also be speculating about the Awan connection? And if Trump is to be investigated endlessly by the government, shouldn’t the Awan connection be investigated, as well?
