Russiagate loses Cenk Uygur and TYT

I lost a lot of respect for Cenk Uygur because he believed all the Scary Russia bullsh*t.

That being said, he has credibility with mainstream Democrats.
So when he comes out against Scary Russia, it means that the witchhunt is approaching its end.

It's good to see that he's at least saying that the Stein investigation is crap, but he's still believing the rest of Russia-Gate.

Trump did not ask Russia to hack the DNC server, he said that if Russia had them to release them.
Look at how this article tries to say that Trump asked Russia to hack the DNC computers for Hillary's emails. The emails he was talking about were the ones that she deleted after she was told to turn them over during the Benghazi hearings.

Donald Trump Calls on Russia to Find Hillary Clinton’s Missing Emails

DORAL, Fla. — Donald J. Trump said on Wednesday that he hoped Russian intelligence services had successfully hacked Hillary Clinton’s email, and encouraged them to publish whatever they may have stolen, essentially urging a foreign adversary to conduct cyberespionage against a former secretary of state.

What Trump actually said which they wrote in the very next paragraph:

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said during a news conference here in an apparent reference to Mrs. Clinton’s deleted emails. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

Wow! Talk about creating false information and deliberately lying about what was actually said. This has happened all through the RussiaRussiaRussia hysteria. People believe what they are told without looking to see if it's true or not.

with the 'Russia Ruse,' so to speak. Watch from a recent CNN Townhall,

[YouTube, Sanders: I agree with US intel on Russian hack]

This is of consequence, due to the many low information voters in the Dem Party Base--not to mention Independent voters--who are likely to buy this hook-line-and-sinker.

But, what do you do about it?

…but that clip is from January 2017, just shortly after Brennan and Clapper foisted the Russia Hoax on the United States. Bernie was wet-eyed serious with their glorious authority. Surely he was continuing to reprogram himself as a Democratic Party-line loyalist. He is literally sitting inside the media bubble, agreeing with the narrative. He believed it for the sake of the Party, even as it further divided the nation.

By any measure, to disagree would have harmed his future. Even after everyone comes to their senses, and the legal and moral shame starts to settle, the American people will continue to believe in this dangerous hoax with all their hearts. Those who know better will never speak of it again. This is going to leave a mark on this culture's genome.

your point, but I'm unable to reconcile that notion with the fact that Bernie has continued to repeat this meme on the Sunday political programs [throughout the year].

In fairness, that standard applies to any and all Democratic and Republican lawmakers--not just him. Of course, Bernie's the formal Dem Senate (outreach) point person, now, which I suppose is the reason that he's so often a guest on the Sunday programs.

BTW, after the holidays, I intend to start posting some of those transcripts, with a link to the original program website for context.

(I say that with a little qualification, since I've also volunteered to assist in a major fundraising endeavor for an animal shelter, and I'm not certain how many weeks/months it will run.)

Anyhoo, I'm considering including some kind of 'Disclaimer' at the top of blurb(s), so that folks can skip reading them, if they believe that the content could be upsetting to them. Since I value your judgment and opinion, Pluto, I'm wondering--do you think that this would be unnecessary, since the transcripts would speak for themselves? I'm not normally into 'overkill,' if you know what I mean!

Wink

Bottom line, with another election cycle coming up, I think it's absolutely critical that folks know the facts. And this will be one of the best ways that I know of to accomplish this.

Hey, have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I spend a good deal of my online time digging for original "evidence," you might say. So, of course, I think it is healthy to arm others with information that strengthens their resolve.

I wish I were a better judge of the "harshness" of information. I've been told by folks that they do not want to live out their days mistrusting their government, etc. They ask that I spare them. And I do try to.

I think a preface is always in order. One like you propose will attract views, as well. A win-win.

As for Bernie, I don't maintain a steady opinion of him at that level, so I can be moved in any direction. I was not emotionally invested in him (or anyone that year) as a candidate. His historic role in 2016 was extraordinary, though. His presence triggered a growing awareness across the nation. He changed things permanently.

And, please--if I do include a standard 'preface' with the transcripts--a word which I think is much more appropriate than 'disclaimer,' so, thank you--don't hesitate to critique the wording or the content, or, to offer suggestions. I assure you, any would be well-received!

Well, if Jill had been thinking....

she should have requested an opportunity to make a half million dollar speech sponsored by a Russian bank too

Lol, Jill wasn't 'competitive' enough to have the ability to - for a big personal pay-off - arrange the facilitation of the sale of American essential strategic resources to foreign interests when America already was listed as being short of uranium for domestic power plant (and the all-essential endless permanent toxic hazard both while operating and in radioactive disposal storage area leaks) supply.

Just shows you what Earth-movers-and-shakers the Mad Bomber/Fracking Queen and King are! And how lucrative privatization is for Those Who Trickle Down Upon Us All - The Job Creators!

Job creators in this sense, of course:

Why Did God Allow Job to Suffer? To Prove a Point to Satan?

October 9, 2008 by Ben

Why did God allow Job to suffer? Why did God allow Satan to harm Job’s health and wealth? Was it all merely to prove a point?

The Book of Job is a very interesting book in the Bible. Job is described as an upright man who follows God’s commands and is “blameless” in God’s eyes. The word “blameless” doesn’t mean sinless, but rather, that he had a good standing in the eyes of God and was repentant. Another way of putting it is that Job walked with God.

The scriptures tell us Job was wealthy, happy, faithful to God, and had a great family. All was going well for Job–that is–until his life comes crashing down!

One day, Satan presents himself before God and has a conversation with Him concerning Job’s character. Satan, whom the Bible refers to as the “accuser,” tells God that Job is only faithful because God has prospered him and put up a “hedge” around him. Satan, the grand accuser, is doing what he does best: Accusing a righteous man. Satan says that if God will “touch” all that Job has, he will curse God to His face.

God allows Satan to test his faithful servant, and after two severe trials (losing all material possessions, family, and health), Job remains faithful. But this raises an interesting question: Why did God allow Satan to test such a seemingly righteous man? ...

...God probably didn’t care so much what Satan thought, but in His wisdom, God knew Job would remain faithful and that his story would inspire millions of faithful Christians to persevere in their trials throughout the ages. ...

Nowadays, of course, they call this sort of private agreement with devils 'trade deals' and 'corporate investor protection agreements/conditions'. And lucrative, protected Hedge Management/lobbyist, etc. careers offered The Right Politicians (after/between public servicing of The Right Needs), of course.

And that's why corrupt politicians like to risk playing god by creating Jobs of us all by making private agreements with devils they unleash upon the world with impunity, to destroy our health, wealth and families, without lifting a hand to stop them, as their public position demands, (since those hands get weighed down with heavy loads of pieces of silver every time they try to lift them, and it's just too hard to drop these to actually do their jobs) being certain that no matter what they do to voters, these will remain faithful though whatever time remains to them and continue to vote for whatever they are told is the 'lesser evil'.

Just as in the parable, only updated and now involving the rapidly approaching destruction of our natural life support system. Let the innocent suffer - The Job Creators have luxury bunkers for when hell is fully created of Earth by them, and 'what difference does it really make at this point anyway'?

I think we need a new 'religion', perhaps one consisting of a respect for inherent human rights, sustainability and life over disaster capitalism, rather than of blindly and mindlessly worshiping those facilitating and enacting evil because they create the gratuitous suffering of Jobs all over the planet they're destroying?

@The Aspie Corner

As far as I remember this guy wrote great books on Bush admin and Enron corruption and a great piece on the Bible for Newsweek.

Here's the intro:

They wave their Bibles at passersby, screaming their condemnations of homosexuals. They fall on their knees, worshipping at the base of granite monuments to the Ten Commandments while demanding prayer in school. They appeal to God to save America from their political opponents, mostly Democrats. They gather in football stadiums by the thousands to pray for the country’s salvation.

They are God’s frauds, cafeteria Christians who pick and choose which Bible verses they heed with less care than they exercise in selecting side orders for lunch. They are joined by religious rationalizers—fundamentalists who, unable to find Scripture supporting their biases and beliefs, twist phrases and modify translations to prove they are honoring the Bible’s words.

This is no longer a matter of personal or private faith. With politicians, social leaders and even some clergy invoking a book they seem to have never read and whose phrases they don’t understand, America is being besieged by Biblical illiteracy. Climate change is said to be impossible because of promises God made to Noah; Mosaic law from the Old Testament directs American government; creationism should be taught in schools; helping Syrians resist chemical weapons attacks is a sign of the end times—all of these arguments have been advanced by modern evangelical politicians and their brethren, yet none of them are supported in the Scriptures as they were originally written.

But when the #Drumpf pied piper came piping via Podesta and the rest of the Clinton Cabal, he couldn't get in a tizzy fast enough with the rest of the collective, fear-drenched meltdown of Russia Red Herring Mania. He's now an embarrassing full-throated $hills defender.

Alas, according to this he was a bit conservative, shall we say, from the start:

The number of people who have fallen on to this Russian propaganda is simply amazing. People who used to question everything that the CIA, FBI and other intelligence agencies have now believed everything that they say, especially Brennan and Clapper both who lied to congress.

They are God’s frauds, cafeteria Christians who pick and choose which Bible verses they heed with less care than they exercise in selecting side orders for lunch.

How many chapters are in Leviticus anyway? Hundreds? Thousands? But the only one that they reference is the one about tah gays. I haven't read about kids being killed because they disrespected their parents. Men being killed because they committed adultery, ate shellfish, wore polyester clothing or any of the other ridiculous things he wrote. This is called hypocrisy in my book.

Sounds to me as though Cenk's presenting a 'more credible' view of the "RUSSIA!" narrative by ditching some of the most appallingly stupid claims, burnishing Prog creds by defending Dr. Jill Stein (who I strongly suspect to have received more votes than were officially counted/announced,) while doubling down on the main theme of of "RUSSIAN!!! ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" and carefully protecting himself (not surprisingly, under the McCarthyist conditions, against being hauled off for inquisition/fired) against any charge of being sensible and factual regarding Russiagate. Part of the current propaganda attempt at 'appealing to Progs for the optics with 'a better, more convincing message' that we've been noting?
