Good morning good people!
Our first major snow storm and longest extended cold weather in the last four years arrived Thursday. I'm at work this morning. H/t to fellow c99er's for this morning's music.
Have a great day, everyone!
The floor is yours...

Damn, that is horrible news.
A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.
Thank you for today's OT, Smiley--hope to post
a Tweet later this evening. I look forward to listening to the vids when I get a little more bandwidth. (My main hotspot is on the brink, so I'm roughing it until I can get a replacement. And, I'm shopping for a new data plan.)
It's possible that we'll get a smathering of snow, sometime this weekend. Hope you have a good day at work--stay warm if your job involves outside activity.
I saw a quote from the CEO of Aetna the other day that's probably given me a few more gray hairs. I'm concerned that the CVS/Aetna merger might have a negative impact on Traditional Medicare. I'll see if I can collect my thoughts well enough to pen my concerns, later. My primary concern stems from a transcript I've read from a recent Congressional hearing, concerning so-called 'test pilot' programs.
Have a nice weekend. Hope to catch up with you Guys later!

I signed up for Medicare last week.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Congrats, RL! Now, we just need to
(collectively) find a way to protect the TM program. Including Medigap Plans, since they're also on the bipartisan radar (to be cut).
Hope you Guys have a great time at the upcoming NY Meetup. I'm thinking that DMW took some photos at one of the PNW Meetups. So, any pics would be quite welcome here, although I'd understand if folks have privacy/security concerns about posting their 'mugs' on the Internets!
Sounds as though you might be feeling better, which is very good to hear!

Hey, yourself (DO)! ;-D Seriously,
I haven't heard anything about the proposal to bring 50-years-olds into Medicare. When I get a little more time, I'll see what, if anything, I can find out about the author. (Sometimes it's revealing, but not always.)
Of course, 'the devil is in the details.' So, it's difficult to make a judgment regarding the author's proposal, without a bit more detail. But, I'm open to anything. If you see anything else about it, please share it with us. I'll do the same.

I am headed to Houston to have lunch with
a fellow c99er. It dropped below freezing here last night, and will again tonight.
It is sunny, will be a nice drive.
We will have Tex-Mex because that's just how we roll.

A fried avocado & enchiladas! Hell yeah!
!Es muy bueno! (That 1st ! is supposed to be upside down.)
Always love meeting up with you. You're way easy to talk to. Sorry I was late! Didn't tell you, but I was at a gas station for over 15 minutes, getting gas. The attendant came out repeatedly, and actually pushed the emergency shut off button once, but eventually pulled the pump nozzle from the other side of the pump, and it finally worked.
He said it messes up in the cold. Gotta love SE Texas lol.
Everything is better when fried, chica!
We shall do it again asap! I will try to find you something from Mexico. Maybe a Che! tee shirt!

We wanted decent healthcare, a living wage and free college.

Thanks for the music Smiley.
Thanks for the music Smiley. It helped to get me going on some housework. Then I had to crank up the volume on some other selections to keep me going. I'll listen to your last 2 selections when I'm winding down.
