Is Trump Next? Sanders - Trump Should Consider Resigning
Bernie Sanders has come out saying Donald Trump should consider resigning over his own past sex harassment actions
"We have a president of the United States who acknowledged on a tape widely seen all over the country that he's assaulted women, so I would hope maybe the president of the United States might pay attention of what's going on and also think about resigning," Sanders said on "CBS This Morning," referring to the "Access Hollywood" tape that was leaked to The Washington Post last year."

I don't know why not. From what I've read, Trump's actions have been much worse than Franken's and some of the other perverts coming out of the woodwork. Not to mention he's a madman, literally. This latest bullshit about Jerusalem as capital of Israel should prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
But it makes me wonder, has this all been an elaborate setup with the endgame being Trump? A psyop? Maybe Franken is taking one for the team.
"Weinstein, who is guilty of various sexual offenses, is used to start the ball rolling downhill. Other celebrities, equally guilty, are exposed by victims. The news stories take on the character of a growing fire storm.
The result? The press is seen as the hero, doing its job for once. No one can cast accusations of a cover-up. They even beat the Mossad!
Then, when the public firmly believes the press is shooting straight from the shoulder…
The Trump accusers surface on cue.
At least a dozen women emerge, with their attorneys. They give their testimony of sexual harassment and abuse.
They add fuel to what is already a roaring blaze.
The public, already in a state of outrage, automatically signs on to the latest revelations."

But, but, but...Clinton, Lewinski, Jones, etc.
The response just seems too obvious. I mean, you could be right. Nothing shocks me anymore. But at some point the politics and the hypocrisy have to break through even the thickest skull.
Idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.
I can't see Trump resigning.
But what hypocrisy we're seeing eh. This happening and we've got the Misogynist in Chief sitting there in the White House.
Just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder. Course, maybe no one thinks that anymore.
No way he resigns.
And memo to Bernie: there’s about as much of a chance that you’re going to shame Trump into leaving office over past sexual misconduct as there is that your “unity tours” and toeing the party line on other crap is going to change the hopelessly corrupt Democratic Party.

@Dr. John Carpenter That's why Kirsten
The fact that they had to redefine sexual misconduct as an excess of male sexuality expressed improperly rather than defining it, as we have since the 70s, as subjecting another human being to sexual activity against their will was just collateral damage.
After all, what do we need a concept of consent for, anyway.

Heh!
Then we have Moore possibly being elected to congress while Franken steps down. You can't make this shit up.

Oh, is that what it's all about.
I knew there was some agenda other than simply restoring the corporate media's tattered credibility.

They must really be scraping the bottom of the barrel
if they have to resort to this to try to yank Trump out of there.
Of course, it's difficult to impeach someone over something you are currently doing yourself. One investigation spawns another, so we wouldn't want to look too closely at the notion of a politician having corrupt business dealings with foreign companies...or foreign states.

Careful what you wish for right.
And when Trump is impeached
or steps down we get Pence, who's far, far worse in his quiet and deadly way. Maybe that's their end game? I don't see Trump stepping down though, his ego is too big for that. Perhaps its all just one more big divide and conquer distraction? I personally do not see Democrats "fixing" either sexism or racism but I guess that's what they're going to go with. Whatever.

Bernie, Bernie, I understand it, but...
remember your priorities. So we get rid of Ted Bundy, yay! Now we've got Torquemada. What are you going to do, fight for public financed lighter fluid? There are some things you have to not fight for.
Women will win this one. Just don't give the devil a flamethrower.

You nailed it, CStMS! While we may
never know for certain (about this talking point), I did hear a replay of an interview with a Hill reporter (A Bolton) last night, in which he definitely laid to rest the question about Warren and Bernie's recent video.
Bolton is a Congressional reporter for The Hill, and said that Chuckie himself has made it clear that he had "absolutely no appetite for a government shutdown." Of course, he and 'Nancy' met with DT this afternoon.
Anyhoo, it certainly makes me think that the video was 'kabuki'--simply meant to energize the Dem Party Base, and possibly increase the turnout at protests.

Congress averted the shutdown
Nancy and Chuckles were all smiles at the WH this afternoon and they got the republicans to do something about DACA so that's good. But if they really wanted to do something about the tax bill, could they have? This is what they should have held out on, but it's just a pipe dream. There is no democrat objection to the bill. Their masters want it passed too.

I think Trump prefers to get impeached rather than agreeing to
resign. At least, if he is getting impeached, he can feel like a misunderstood hero and bathe himself in that imagery. Resignation is too boring and not grandiose enough. He will never resign, is my guess.

In a word, 'yes,'--it was the MSM's
endgame the entire time. It was transparent manipulation, IMO.
I posted a piece about WJC's 39-42 accusations of sexual assault--including rape--earlier this summer (at EB,) during the Cosby trial. And, remember, there were approximately 60 women who came forward with sexual assault/misconduct charges against Cosby.
So, the question is, "Where was the MSM talking heads/moralists during his months-long trial? Relatively speaking, they were no where to be found, as I recall.
Earlier this week, I speculated that it had crossed my mind that perhaps the MSM/One Percent/Deep State had panicked, fearful that they would not be able to get DT on Russia-related charges. So, when the Weinstein accusations popped up, they decided to piggyback on that story in order to create the milieu that would allow them to 'retry' DT--as a backstop, if all else fails.
Frankly, I'll have to see it, to believe it--that Repubs will try to unseat Moore (if he wins). Clearly, they can't possibly win a Presidential election without the South--that's a given. And many evangelicals view the Moore election as a 'proxy fight' between an increasingly evil, secular federal government, and God-fearing folks (like themselves).
I think that the corporatist Establishment Repubs/MSM made a big mistake when they inserted themselves into the election (I mean beyond simply reporting the stories). Moore could still lose; I'm not a betting person, so I've leave the odds up to others. But, I do believe that if Moore wins, it will be to a large extent because of the resentment or blowback stirred up because 'outsiders' injected themselves into a local race.
My observation is that the only thing these folks hate more than Democrats--which they equate with liberals--is the 'liberal media.'
(We're glad that we won't be around next Tuesday! )
