A vignette--a work-in-progress
Been a while, releasing the pressure...
Had a splendid day,
escaped for a while,
the expectant days bearing down,
abiding confusion of what to do, to say
interrupted in responsibility
Can't change them
can't bow to kidnapping, either
can't assuage guilt
cultivated generation-ally
maybe jesus can do that
but, they have jesus
oh, jesus
From so little, mountains grow
made from landfills
distorted
posing
expressing dominance all around
the small town
KKK, roasting marshmallows
on the childhood creek, Quaker's creek
blood-letting creaky creek
small water
bot's delight splashing at night
dividing right into wrong
praising jesus
can't forget jesús
or none eats
in America
Oh, my, hungry
for a blueplate of love
green stringbeans singing in the wind
liver, sliced with onions cultivated,
educated in open, fearless, soil
powered by the sun
A land without guns
of harmony and hominy
made in solutions
crystal clear
for all to hear
without sailing delusions
waiting to be
waiting for you
waiting for me
to tack away.

"he's a driving me crazy, every time there's a full moon he
sings all night long."
He drives me crazy too,
with his crazily sane mind and penetratingly wild voice and lyrics.

Thank you smiley, for your works in progress. There is so much that is also so complete in them.
Really enjoyed this one.
Yes, janis, Tom is extraordinary, love his work especially
when the dogs and me howl at the moon. Thanks for reading and being here.
Your poetry
reaches deeper, cuts into my soul. I like it.
