Well that sounded serious.
How is it that of all people, Donna Brazille is the person chosen (by fate or something/SOMEBODY?) to finally bring down the Clintons???

We should have seen this coming
Ha! I called it!

What story is that exactly, Donna?
She is just blaming Russia
in her own special way.
Now, I seem to recall a few site participants here were upset at the Alligator Ed essays about HRC's health problems. They left c99, haven't been back.
Now, the damn Russians had Brazile so concerned about Hillary's failing health that she was ready to replace her with that youngish, vigorous Joe Biden!
Fucking Russians!

I’ve slready had to fess up that I am
absolutely clueless as to who’s up to what and why Donna Brazille.
This ‘episode’ of the Twilight Zone just writes itself. A new chapter daily.
That background sound that we all hear? That’s just the sound of Rod Serling’s laughter coming to us from the Nether World.
I’m talking about the ‘hereafter’, not ‘hell’.
To which Donna says all her critics ‘can go’.

She might just be trying to jack up her book sales.
I expect her to get called out on feeding debate questions sooner or later. Is she going to say it was compliance with the contract?
I doubt she is sucking up to the liberal voters. If she were, "Russia" would not pass her lips.

And yet...
She went there.
And that helps the Clintons how?
What is the gain for spreading that around, regardless of whether his death was a random crime or planned political assassination.
To me, her admitting to being anxious and pulling those blinds is the real bombshell.
She admits to a virtual money laundering scheme, but does she really believe politics will get you killed?
I can't imagine what is going on.

How does talking about Seth Rich help her?
Maybe it keeps her alive. After having gone public with concerns about her safety, maybe she thinks it raises too many questions if she suddenly dies under mysterious circumstances, so it offers her some protection.
I think she should stay out of small aircraft and away from the tops of tall buildings.

Yep
Like others in this thread, I'm staring at the gaslighting
…of Donna Brazile by former Clinton staffers.
John Podesta, Robby Mook, and Huma Abedin - are “surprised” by Brazile’s accusations. Shocked, really. Brazile seems to have succumbed to Russian propaganda, they say.
(Not succumbed to the toxicity of pushing that nonsense on to the American people. No. Brazile succumbed to becoming an agent for Russia.)
Whoa. That confused me. They think people don't know what they did? I've been away for a few days. Did we have a discussion about this?
Or this:
These former Staffers are weaving very twisted and sinister tale.
I can't help but wonder if this whole Donna Brazile thing is just another psyop? Or has she been set up to take the fall?
[Edit typo]
I can't get where this is going.
The cover up I am seeing is the gaslighting/Putin Puppet memes.
She knew she would be pilloried, and she also knows a large swath of base liberal voters left the party.
So, who is she working for?

Hi:
I think the stakes are higher than that.
Maybe it's a cover-up. One thing is for sure: It's alive.

@Pluto's Republic Spot on! Just a psy op:

I'd like to see them try to pass that twaddle off as
the reason why Seth Rich is dead. In fact, the more they talk about it, the more questions will inevitably come up. Wasn't there something in politics that said if you're trying to explain things, you're losing?
These people are absolutely sickening.

@Pluto's Republic
Well, going by this, she's evidently trying to blame Seth's murder on the Russians, just as with everything else she's maintaining in supporting and building upon the RUSSIA!!! Words of Mass Destruction !!! propaganda in the Serious War On The World line.
And why does she claim that the Russians - or anyone else - would need listening devices when the Clintons/DNC wouldn't ever bother with basic security protocol because that sort of thing, (like those other Silly Rules And Laws For Little People which can be wiped off with, like, a cloth or something and plastered over with endlessly repeated Big Lies,) doesn't apply to Those Who Matter.
That little bit of already proven truth revealed - for which no charges will ever be brought - which she admitted to seems to me to be an obvious attempt to build cred not just for herself but for the 'Must Nuke Russia, Root Of All Of (our own enacted) Evils' propaganda line being pushed now even on the most ludicrous premises.
Now they're down to "the Russians turned the election using some scattered FB/Twitter clickbait ads using a company which does clickbait ads and got Black Americans upset over 'perfectly acceptable routine police murders' of themselves"? If that was the case, the "brought US Black voters to heel - who else can they vote for? Republicans?" Clinton's paymasters would be hiring them.
Hill ran on claims of 'having' Black American voters in Her Pot-Holder pockets - so this line also admits that Her is known to be OK with all that's done to murder, falsely arrest, and brutalize African-Americans (and others) and feels that voters have no business objecting to Her having that appalling attitude as President.

Really interesting analysis, Ellen.
Note that for all the hubbub
She's still on the Rules Committee of the Party as far as I know. If they really had a problem with her, I'm sure they could get rid of her for all kinds of cause.
How much does it suck that we have to sort of defend her, knowing all she's done?

@Johnny Q We don't.
We have no idea what her motivations are nor who she's working for. She may be telling the truth about the Clinton campaign, though I notice still nobody's talking about voter registration data being tampered with--are they?--but Election Justice USA, Debbie Lusignan, and many, many other people were telling the truth over a year ago, when it would have counted. At that time, she was handing debate questions to Hillary Clinton ahead of time.
If she's getting out of the DNC, it's not because she's offended by cheating or election rigging. But anyway, she hasn't been thrown out of the DNC, has she? That either means Hill and all her faction know this is kabuki and are playing it out, or they've lost control of the DNC. If *that's* true, the question is: who's taken control away from them?
I guarantee you the answer is not Bernie Sanders, unless he's been bought and sold at a level much deeper than I think.
First we need to find out who Brazile's political sponsors are, then track back to who those people's donors are. So far, it's hard to tell. Warren doesn't have enough clout to be the one pulling the strings.
I'd guess Obama, but if that's so, it's buried deep.

True, dat.
Donna is simply in over her head. She's consolodating and revealing her fears and vulnerabilities. But there is no way she's going to self-sabotage her professional credibility by talking about election shenanigans. She has a book coming out and she's publicizing it. The Russian boogyman has been exposed, so she is rehabing her role in that shameful saga, and getting ahead of the news cycle at the same time. She is telling us she totally believed the Russian meddling story, and she was not involved in the kabuki conspiracy. She's says she feared for her own life, thus establishing her innocence in Seth Rich's murder, just in case.
This story could take off and all the injustices could be investigated and exposed. But it won't. It makes too many look bad — the media, the intelligence community, the Democratic Party bosses, and the Obama administration. Most of all, it creates a national crisis that shows the US as a failed state, where the citizens do not trust their democracy. Everyone is required to live the lie, for now.
That's what I'm looking at, too. I am certain they know the Russia story is manufactured. I believe they concocted it themselves. Blaming Russia is the post-Ukraine, Neocon narrative that also happens to be convenient for the Democrats. The Party and the Intelligence Agencies take turns confirming it to fix the propaganda narrative in people's minds.
We are the ones who took Party control away from them. They know they lost it and there's nothing they can do. The same thing is going on in the Republican Party. They lost control, too.
@Pluto's Republic You're right about a

So, you believe they can win elections without us?
I don't think even they believe that.
We are not cattle cars of non-compliant voters attached to the back of their Democratic train, like so much dead weight they have to pull around.
We are a wall built across their track. What's worse, we are the talent of the nation, which is unequally distributed among us. Coincidence, perhaps. We make a compelling mockery out of them, as we block their path, and the nation laughs with us.
This is why they are restlessly looking for a voters block to convert. First it was blue collar workers, then they went after the mid-level white collar voters, but both those voters blocks had been kicked to the curb by the Party much too recently to forget. Then they considered the disappointed Trump voters. Yeah, that was the ticket…. for about six weeks, until they wised up and moved on. Next, it was the non-voters block, whom they thought they could scare into voting. After all, Hillary was gone and they still had the Trump stick to hit them over the head with. But the Party platform still sucks if you' want even the most basic human rights, so that didn't work. After eight years of Obama, life truly sucks for Millennials, so don't even bother asking them. The Party still has the Black vote, right? Not really, not anymore. It got used up. The Independent voters block is low on enthusiasm these days. If they must vote, those leaning Republican, will vote for the real thing. If they lean Democratic, they recall that the last time they voted at their polling place, the vote was rigged. By the Democrats. And, somehow Hillary lost the women's vote, which was a "sure thing," so who are you going to call now?
They know what they need in order to win — and it is not the Progressive vote nor is it the Liberal vote. To win elections, the Democratic Party needs the all American, tried and true, labor-loving, vintage votes of the Authentic Left. These are the votes that have rescued the People from dark times, repeatedly, for the past century and a half. They need the Bernie votes, the Socialist votes, and the all-or-nothing anti-war votes. That's the Left. It's probably the most potent force of untapped political energy in the nation. We saw it's front edge roaring in while Bernie was introducing himself to the nation, state by state. Then, it instantly melted away from the Democratic Party the day he withdrew from the race.
And one more thing: The Democratic Party concocted, along with their private Ukrainian IT firm, the most rabid anti-Russian false flag this nation has ever seen — for the explicit purpose of destroying the people's faith in the Democratic process. All to mitigate Hillary Clinton's election loss. It sent the nation of voters into a depressed state of inaction.
The ONLY voters block with the raw intellectual talent to escape that trap was the American Left. The Democratic Party can win their votes when they demonstrate enlightened values that directly benefit the American people — values that confer upon them the same implied human rights that were unanimously ratified at the UN in 1948. This is a direct inheritance that belongs to all American citizens. It was handed down by the Americans who came before, and who painstakingly built this civilization with future Americans in mind. This country was never meant to be a playground of natural resources and commercial opportunity for multinational corporations to privately own, asset strip, and monetize for their personal gain, along with subsidy bonuses paid for by the people — leaving Americans with lesser means impoverished by the theft of the inheritance that was meant for them. With it, they could purchase their own Liberty (health, education, nutrition, shelter) allowing them to grow into strong adults, empowered to make their own contributions to civilization.
Any Political Party that deserves your vote will right that wrong, once and for all. Don't let people throw their votes away and settle for a gay wedding cake. This just prolongs the and deepens the agony of social injustice for everyone.
That's what I saw. It's a potent force still waiting out there to be beckoned again. When the Party gets its vision for the future right, the Left will roar into existence. Meanwhile, it's stacked up on that wall blocking the train tracks.

Dunno about this site which looks utterly nutty, which might be why I could eventually find this - having a hard time finding the stories linking to the Wikileaks Clinton campaign (Podesta?) email which used to be all over and were posted on this site previously, and a lot of this article doesn't copy/paste but:

But, yeah, the Clinton campaign did invent the 'Russia hacked the election for Trump' which began the ensuing line of 'ever-changing RUSSIA!!! story' lunacy.

Klein is a former Editor-In-Chief of The New York Times Magazine, who's most recently written books that 'some say' verge on conspiracy theory--about 'O' and 'The Grifters.'

This narrative is being pushed. The fact that it has some truth in it notwithstanding, somebody wants this fight to happen, or it wouldn't be such a spectacle. We don't have the kind of media where things become spectacles because of their intrinsic importance to the news. Things become spectacles because it serves some powerful person's interests.

When did she start writing the book?
Interesting to learn when she started the book or conceived of it, and when she started shopping it around. The publisher is French based. No American publisher? I would bet she picked an off shore publisher to keep it secret as it seems the Clinton camp was caught totally unawares. I would have thought some demonization of Brazile before this to warm up the wolves.
I don't think there is any conspiracies around the book. I take it at face value that by her reports she was treated like a piece of garbage by the Hillary campaign while DWS treated the Hillary controlled DNC like her personal unlimited spending account and was then hired by the Clinton campaign. Maybe Brazile realized that all she would ever be is token low paid mouth piece and decided to ensure her financial future.
Most of the damage to Hillary and her lackies and the DNC will come from Brazile's accounts of her treatment as a "slave" and accusations of issues around race, gender, and age by the campaign. Looks like she will blow away the pretensions the party has around race and gender.
From what little there is about the Clinton staffers, it does seem to vindicate what Thomas Frank has describe about the new yuppie democrats controlling the party.
