(It just gets weirder): Arrested DNC Staffer Awan Retains Long-Time Clinton Associate For Legal Help
Arrested DNC Staffer Awan Retains Long-Time Clinton Associate For Legal Help
Chris Gowen, a founding partner at Gowen, Rhoades, Winograd and Silva, apparently did a little bit of everything for the Clintons over the course of multiple years including working in the Clinton White House, helping President Bill Clinton write his book, "My Life", and serving on Hillary's 2008 presidential campaign. Per Gowen's bio:
Mr. Gowen left the Public Defender’s office to work for former President William Jefferson Clinton and then-Senator Hillary Clinton. Chris was a fact checker for President Clinton’s memoir, My Life. He also served as a traveling aid for President Clinton’s national and international trips. Chris finished his tenure with the Clintons by directing the advance operations for then-Senator Hillary Clinton during her 2008 presidential campaign.
Another biography, published on the American University website, says Gowen worked with several other controversial Clinton projects, including The Clinton Global Initiative, The Clinton Foundation, and The Clinton Health Access Initiative.Shortly after Awan’s arrest, Gowen immediately jumped into the fray and hit the ground running with allegations that Awan was a victim of Islamophobia. He labeled Awan’s arrest as part of “a right-wing media-driven prosecution by a United States Attorney’s Office that wants to prosecute people for working while Muslim"...it's almost as if the words are coming straight from Hillary's mouth.

The defense is 'Islamaphobia'???
Guess it makes sense. Their defense against disenfranchising Sanders supporters is they are allowed to lie, cheat and steal. And we should have KNOWN they were cheating. And it's just tough cookies if we were so stupid we believed their avowals of honestly and impartiality, so fuck off you idiots you!
It's their arrogance and blatant dishonesty that keeps surprising me. You'd think I'd eventually get used to it.

Well, Podesta was a sieve
Seriously, it would behoove me to re-read veganmark's essays before spouting any more from the top of my little air head. LOL I am sure of the Sept. 25 date for Craig Murray meeting someone at American University.

Actually, I believe that just up-thread an analysis is quoted showing that the 2nd DNC leak was planted, complete with fake 'Russian hacker!!! fingerprints', in order to poison the well, if that what you're referring to? This is very confusing, lol, but of course, I was already kinda lost when I got here... and my computer keeps blacking out on me... sigh... better try shutting down again, I suppose...

@SpamNunn Or are we saying the
Maybe the powers that be just figured out it was Awan and that's why he was running? But that would sure have been a long time to figure out that the IT guy who has access to everything is the leak. Are they that stupid?

They're not stupid.
They're committed to the falsehood that Russia is what we need to be looking at and spending trillions to protect ourselves from on earth, land, air, space, and under the sea. And on Mars. They NEED nuclear weapons. They NEED us to look at Putin. Constantly. They don't want us to look at Donna Brazille giving Hillary debate questions in advance. Nor the party giving Bernie's donations to Hillary. Plus, they don't want ANYONE to look at their forensic evidence other than their crony Atlantic Council CrowdStrike insider because whoever leaked the emails may be either a corruption source or a murder victim. They're not stupid. They're venal. And desperate.
Conflating DNC & Clintons
It's the DNC which has asserted in open court that it is allowed to lie cheat and steal.
Clinton does not justify anything with regard to Bernie, she simply says that she won.
The extent of the collusion makes the moving parts seem indistinguishable.

In today's political reality the Clintons
and the DNC are one and the same. Strange that you haven't noticed.
EDIT: added 's' to Clinton.

Bernie also says that she won the election
fair and square, no doubt about it.
This is when I became curious about Bernie's motives. He knew damn well that there were all kinds of election discrepancies, from the number of people who were kicked off the voting rolls and had their party affiliation changed, to what happened during the Nevada caucus and other election irregularities. At one time his campaign was looking into them.
And remember that it was his campaign that told the DNC that their computers were vulnerable. That's when the Herbots started saying that Bernie was trying to steal Hillary's voters information.
Even the DNC lawyers admitted that the primary wasn't on the up and up.

Now Forbes
is carrying the story about the Awans. It is being played out as a political football, but at least the story is getting out there. Regardless of how it is framed, it is now being picked up by mainstream media.

Can you post some of the information or let me know what the headline is? This way I might be able to find another source.

I was able to read it
I had to click (upper right) through a dummy screen first, it probably counts your articles per month like the NY Times.
It didn't say anything new, except for saying that DWS should start answering questions.

Not only are these congress critters corrupt they were freaking stupid.
Mary Bennett
What I see
in the long list of Democratic Congress members who had a relationship to these IT foreign nationals with money problems is a possible explanation for Democratic members of Congress mouthing the moronic belief that Russia hacked the DNC and that it's an act of war.
It's so bizarre. It's so stupid. It's so dumb. And it's so uniform, as if they all took a potion. It's like the Manchurian Candidate's assassin suddenly going blank-faced and saying, "Raymond Shaw is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life."
Who's controlling these people? I've been thinking it was just money, even Bernie getting on the bandwagon. But Bernie Sanders raised more money on the basis of his actual message than Clinton could on her own without the high rollers. Do Sanders and Elizabeth Warren et al need the big rollers that badly? What the heck explains this?
@Linda Wood
Personally, I keep thinking brainwashing. If it works on the general public it's been used on via the media for so long, why wouldn't it work on a group of people who know that their careers (and possibly their lives and those of their families) might depend upon their sincerity in mouthing it?

Way late here...
but anybody think it's a coincidence that the arrest was announced the day after Schumer and Pelosi's press conference throwing Hillary under the bus?
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
Good point.
I had completely forgotten about Schumer's remarks. There is so much going on.
It's not that Schumer's remarks may indicate a shift in law enforcement, in my mind, but more like, the possibility that the FBI was involved in the coming arrest may have meant to the Democratic leadership that the party of bill and hill was over. Interesting possibility.
Fait accompli...
My guess the arrest was happening regardless and Schumer and Pelosi were just getting out in front of it.
In this context, Pelosi's comment:
seems meant more for the Dem donors as reassurance that even though the face of the party is being sidelined, it is still business as usual.
