Hello, dear community

Hiya, TulsaGal here. Another potential migrator from DKos, I'm looking around to see what communities are supporting Bernie Sanders still, are actively working for him, and actively discussing how to get more of the vote out and keep the choir engaged.
So, I've popped over here to check things out while we see if Kos really means to censor discourse that isn't directly promoting HRC, or is promoting Bernie's continued candidacy. I'm looking to stay engaged and active, especially after the spanking the Kos community got from Markos yesterday. So, looking forward to learning more about the site and interacting with the community for the next few weeks.
Cheers!

Maine's Dem caucus is tomorrow
I've gotten several calls from the Bernie side of things - they are all very psyched and one lady that I spoke with said that everyone she's called has been super supportive of Bernie. I also go one call form the Clinton group - on hearing that I would not be caucusing for Hillary, the young woman was 1)shocked. 2) befuddled and 3) a bit pissy towards me - her tone changed from cheerleader perky to using the same tone that my daughters used to use with me when they were teenagers and I was being unreasonable in their opinions.
Think off-center.

Interesting. I hope he does
Interesting. I hope he does as well in Maine as he did in Kansas and Nebraska. It'd be nice to leave the weekend with an overall win for the weekend!
welcome tulsagal...
poke around and enjoy yourself. i hope that you find what you're looking for here.
Welcome.

Welcome...
As you will see when browsing, lots of Bernie supporters here.
hello tulsagal!
I think the split here is about 90% Bernie, 10% left of Bernie, 0% Hillary.
That's pretty unscientific, though!

The site will know it's off the ground when the trolls start popping up. I've never seen or heard of a troll-free spot on the net.
It may sound strange
…but I don't it is possible to troll this site.
IMAGINE if you woke up the day after a US Presidential Election and headlines around the the world blared, "The Majority of Americans Refused to Vote in US Presidential Election! What Does this Mean?"
Greetings, TG! Stationed in Altus
many years ago. 'Driest' heat we've ever lived in. Also, remember one January evening, with a 35-40 mph wind, which was probably the coldest that I've ever 'felt.' (It has truly earned its name as 'Tornado Alley.')
Can't remember a single day in Alaska that 'felt' more miserably cold, although the temps there were up to 80 degrees colder. This was because of the vast difference in 'chill factor.' (Our location in Interior Alaska was devoid of humidity or wind, almost year round.)
Aside from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our 18 months in your state. 'Okies' are super nice and friendly people!
Great to see you here!

Welcome, TulsaGal!
I can attest, after a year on this site lurking when not commenting, that this is a good and sane community with an easy, respectful style, and none of the clubbish flagging games or off-limits topics of the GOS.
What happens over at dK will be what it will be. Markos's remarks on the radio today don't sound promising -- he's openly gleeful we're exiting.
Then again, I'm just as gleeful at the numbers arriving here! Four hundred in barely more than a day! And it's the cream of dKos, the deep-talented writers who were the draw over there, who have migrated. Just stunning!
As for Bernie, well, you can imagine most here are Sandernistas; it's not really a Hillary corner. The site is intentionally non-partisan, though, not endorsing any candidate. That does not mean you won't find a lot of campaign talk and celebrations and strategizing and organizing going on, especially with the influx this weekend, whose numbers will mean we can do a lot if we want.
I hope you'll find this place to your liking, and if you have any questions, just ask.
