Ann Coulter and the Right, the New Voice for Peace and Non-Violence

I can't do this justice but I'll wing it anyway.

Violence, hate, war, etc., has been associated with the right, the conservatives, the right wing, the republicans. Bush and the neocons started the "New American Century" based on violence and war. The democrats were supposed to be the "left", the liberals and progressives and social justice warriors who pretend to care about people. That's all bullshit but anyway, it was the plot we were all supposed to follow. The republicans and the right don't give a shit about people, it's survival of the fittest, get a fucking job and pull your damn bootstraps up and go to war with anyone that has a smaller dick, which is pretty hard all things considered.

Now it seems reversed. But is it?

Ann Coulter:

"The explosion of violence against conservatives across the country is being intentionally ginned up by Democrats, reporters, TV hosts, late-night comedians and celebrities, who compete with one another to come up with the most vile epithets for Trump and his supporters.

They go right up to the line, trying not to cross it, by, for example, vamping with a realistic photo of a decapitated Trump or calling the president a "piece of s---" while hosting a show on CNN."

http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2017-06-14.html

I've seen this on a number of right wing, conservative, republican sites, like Infowars and The Economic Collapse and Rense.com. They're complaining about the violent, warmongering left and how they're trying to hurt their boy, the Silver Spoon they call Trump. Like Coulter, it's a pathetic, ignorant attempt to belittle the "left" which makes her have to defend Trump. She has to defend Trump. They have to defend Trump. It's like, they have to defend Obama, they have to defend Clinton, they have to defend Sanders. Jesus.

I actually read Michael Snyder of Economic Collapse suggest that the right counter the violent left with a peace and antiwar movement. Sheeeeiit.

My take on this is:

There are two factions that are pointing the finger at each other while defending the establishment, the ruling class, the fuckers that rule over all of us. They are the republicans and the democrats. Relative to who is doing this, those that are telling each other how fucked up they are while being just as fucked up as each other, it's the twenty percenters. They're the ones that get the press, the attention, and they're the ones who steer the dialogue, the partisan republicans and democrats. The true bluers, the believers, the idiots who perpetuate this insane system of oligarchy and plutocracy.

Fuck them.

Dammit, this is starting to piss me off.

That's all I got. Sue me, it's the American way.

Interesting how anytime someone shoots up an abortion clinic or masque or bombs an African American church, they're always some mentally unstable "lone wolf" and we're supposed to ignore that they were up to their eyebrows in right wing media which actually does advocate violence against others.

Whose violence

After yesterday’s horrific attack in Washington, DC, political violence has once again come under the national spotlight. In this case, with the gunman revealed as a Bernie Sanders supporter, the Left has comes under scrutiny from conservatives and the center.

~~snip~~

Although Sanders was quick to denounce the action in the strongest terms possible, New York Times reporter Yamiche Alcindor published a piece linking the gunman’s actions to what she calls the “belligerent reputation” of Sanders’s supporters during the Democratic primaries, as well as the rhetoric of the Left more generally.

The shooting, she writes, “put a new spotlight on the rage buried in some corners of the progressive left,” pointing to anti-Trump messages posted by the killer on Facebook. She further linked the killer’s own rhetoric to Sanders, citing examples of Sanders calling Trump “the worst and most dangerous president in the history of our country” and referring to the “extreme right-wing leadership in the US House and the US Senate.”

What part of her last paragraph was wrong? Anyone who wants to do the kind of damage to the people they are supposed to be representing, is very dangerous to them. Passing legislation that will see millions of people die because of it is the definition of dangerous in my book. And the only reason for doing it is to make rich f'ckers even more rich. So Yamiche, E.S.A.D!!

I'm not condoning this by posting it.

But I sure as fuck could understand it.

Anyone know more about the shooter in DC, i.e. what his financial situation was/mental stability/media intake, etc? I've refused to indulge the media orgy on it (replete with grandstanding Rep congressman appearing for interview in his baseball uniform, which confirmed the worst for me. Imagine the conversation between the CNN/MSNBC/Fox flunky faux journalist/editorial team/show producer and the Congressman's "people": "Is he still in his uniform?" "We'll be right over; tell him to stay in it." Great TeeVee, right?)

The UPS shooter in San Francisco had told his bosses, who wanted him to keep working extensive overtime, that he could no longer do it. It's obvious he snapped. Where's the media reflection on what everyone on the street knows as the real story? Nowhere to be found, as far as I can see.

Think the economic crisis hasn't manifested, in a multitude of ways, in tens of thousands, if not millions, of personal crises sending too many people to the brink?

Ann Coulter is almost right. Since the election previously sane people have resorted to such bile - it is counterproductive, and combined with the Hillbot/DNC/Third Way/Democratic "leadership" program to deny legitimacy is quite possibly incendiary. The Democratic establishment is playing with fire, and I don't think they care.
But why now? The Rep… fascists have been playing this strategy for 40 years. Because the Democrats were a tempering force. People (incorrectly) believed that though the Rs were championing bigotry and greed at least there were the Ds, but Hillary ended that illusion, and now the Ds are calling for revolution - and I don't mean Bernie's revolution.

Why now?

Because now it's become obvious that there are no longer any democrats among the Democrats. They've all become the Rethugs, and the very worst of them at that. With the end of the comfortable illusion, we who have been cast out of any possibility of a reasonable livelihood become, in the words of Jackson Browne, the "people [who] can't take any more, so they pick up a gun or a brick or a stone".

Most emphatically not the way to run a country!

We saw behind the curtain during the Obama administration, but Bernie tore their curtain all the way off and we realized how corrupt both sides of congress are.
After that, there's no going back.

This is why we are seeing things playing out publicly in ways that do not seem the norm. The establishment (both Republicans and Democrats) see their scam is falling apart and they are desperately trying to control the message and the masses. But the masses are now seeing not only just how screwed they have been, but exactly who has been doing the screwing.

The Democrat Party has moved so far to the the Right that they have left their left flank wide open. This is the Clinton/DLC/Third Way strategy. All the Republicans have to do is to rephrase their conservative philosophy in a way that looks Left-ish. The Democrat's biggest vulnerabilities are where they have moved farthest to the right. War is an obvious issue. But jobs as an issue is also huge. The Democrats literally gave away the farm, the factory, the small retail store, etc. etc. etc., busy kissing up to the oligarchs for a few million in support. PC is another issue, that can be rephrased in terms of freedom of speech.

I see enormous potential for the Republicans to establish a generation of domination over America. The Democrat Party can hardly be characterized as the Left, with the single exception of identity issues, which has very little interest in middle America, which could be cast as anti-First Amendment, and which is ripe for backlash. We have not yet learned the lesson that if you get out ahead of America you set yourself up for massive backlash. The Republican Party, self described Conservative, could make incredible gains by emphasizing just that. It would not be inconsistent to come around on the environment. Basically, if they are willing to dump the oligarchs in favor of fundamental conservatism they will be in power for a very long time.

is being determined more by the interests of Big Money itself, than by any set of ideological beliefs. As the nation's major financial stakeholders become ever larger in size, and ever fewer in number, their political orientations become ever more ambiguous, and less relevant to what they are actually doing. Amazon, for one example, is about to swallow Whole Foods whole... in a gargantuan transaction that has virtually nothing to do with political ideology, but quite a bit to do with how and what people eat.

It seems to me that the most important decisions influencing the nation's trajectory are being made in corporate boardrooms, not in City Halls or in State Capitols, or even in Washington DC. And they are being made without regard to cultural or ideological values of any kind, whether of the Left or the Right. Corporate-style capitalism is a values-free process, not an ideology. It's a rapacious, merciless, cannibalistic process that follows one prime directive... Grow larger, or be subsumed.

The Republican Party has tended to openly champion this process and to idealize it, while the Democratic Party has sought merely to accommodate it, and to occasionally (and only very selectively) limit it. Neither Party has demonstrated any inclination to challenge, or even to criticize its fundamental dynamics. Two questions never asked: "Where is this process leading us?" and "What are we to become, if it continues?"

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

First, let's distinguish between Democratic politicians and leftist constituents.

Second, let's distinguish among time periods.

Third, remember that, thanks to both Democrats and Republicans, both "the left" and "liberals" are now understood to mean simply "Democrats." https://caucus99percent.com/content/liberals-must-not-say-liberal-left-p...

Let's sort this out a bit a bit.

Democratic politicians took us into the following wars: WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. And, since the DLC took over the Party, Democratic politicians have been as neocon as anyone and bots have supported them in that, as in everything else. Dem politicians voted for the Iraq and Afghan wars, for the WOT AUMF, and for the "surges." In 2016, Hillary ran more hawkish than Trump. See also, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Marshall

As far as rank and file, abolition of the draft greatly reduced peace demonstrators, as did Kent State and the WOT. Not that demonstrators are going to stop wars. However, to the diminished extent that there has been a peace movement, the left rank and file has comprised it.

IOW, the entire uniparty is pro-war and Trump supporters are misled or faking, much as your ESSAY SAYS.
