Good morning, el ~ have a beautiful day, folks.
"The “jumpers” reminded us that one day we will all face only one choice and that is how we will die, not how we will live." Chris Hedges on 9/11
Condolences. But you found another?
Snow is still melting, none in forecast.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
How's the foot today?
Spring is a good time to change your look. Hope you like the cut.
Yes, RL,
I found another. Life hands us many challenges. I've had three.
Hope your foot is feeling better!

I am so sorry!
Thank you, HW.
It stays in the memory forever, because it happened to you. Every time you acknowledge it, it aids in the healing.

RA - Have a beautiful day yourself.
You have my condolences regarding the anniversary, but try to enjoy the day regardless.

Good morning everyone
Hope you're having a lovely spring day wherever you are.
Anybody involved with indivisible? https://www.indivisibleguide.com/
I like the idea of uniting folks but I wish they had goals other than to just get rid of T-rump. You know like: the fight for 15, single payer, stop all the wars, leave it in the ground, no pipelines, free college tuition, and so on.
Resist is a good message, but you also need to advocate for something (in my view).
Have a good day all.
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
Lookout - IIRC, Indivisible is a bunch of Dems, a party
which just held a big conclave for the purpose of figuring out their fundraising
scamstactics for the period up through the mid-terms. They do have goals, just not the kind you envision, theirs appear to be about finances, money, lucre and donations, to name a few. That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
That was my take...
Nice to hear it confirmed.
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
@Lookout
Well, the corporate Dems have all that experience in resisting the public good and tons of experience in collecting money for doing that, so of course that's what springs to mind...
Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

Defying man and nature, the sea otters of Morro Bay have made a comeback
Welcome back! I remember swimming with sea otters during SCUBA certification in Monterey Bay, amazing creatures. Thanks a lot for hosting and posting great essays enhydra lutris. Thanks.
Hey Bernie? How do you get out of a donkey? Same way you get out of an elephant, you run 'round and 'round until you get pooped out. C'mon man do us a solid.
Joke bombers for PEACE
Thanks. I was just down at Morro Bay and got some
otter pics that I expect to be pretty good - they're on my phone somewhere because I stupidly didn't bring my camera along on a trip to the fish market (got fresh black-gill to cook back at camp).

@eyo
Well, certainly at least Israel, and the United States want everyone else to get rid of theirs so that they can nuke everyone else with impunity - I seriously can't blame everyone else for not wanting to dispose of their only deterrent/retaliation. Especially Russia, China, India and Pakistan who've been on the target list for some time.

Of course all the U.S. satellite countries, I mean NATO members,
There was only one exception, the Netherlands, who abstained.

thanks that made me look upHuh! Again, taxes pay for civil society. Less is not more, unless you already have it all. They are not that different, with their IT sector, mining, forest products, agri-food, etc.. But they have tons of cooperatives, that is cool. Thanks.
My pleasure!!

Tennessee Whiskey, I'd drink Dickel Old No. 8
Can't drink at all now, but remember the barrel smell of it was good. Kinda oak-ey. The higher proof stuff was like paint remover. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Dickel

BOHICA, or gbcw. I'm pretty pretty sure U.S. oligarchy is not out to save the planet at this point, much less Great America. Good luck.
Namaste
thanks to you, what's on my mind is whisky.
sans "e", thank you very much. (I will note that the organizers spell it "whisk(e)y", adding the parenthetical "e" so as to create a spirit -- ahem -- of inclusiveness, lest those of a certain nationality get their ... er ... nationality up.)

AGCC is happening.
If you cannot accept these facts, I cannot fake an interest in any of your opinions.
Well, auld school has the 'e' elsewhere: usquebaugh
