My Letter to Tom Perez
FWIW. I feel better for having written it, anyway.
Dear Tom,
I had a feeling you'd be writing to me so I checked my junk mail folder. And I was right!
And you want money!
You seem like a nice enough guy, though I know little about you except you were shopped
as Not Keith Ellison. But in voting you in, the DNC also voted to keep accepting
corporate lobbyist money (which Obama banned) AND to still allow the chair to appoint
lobbyists as DNC at large members.
So in re: the request for money: Hell, no.
In re the suggestion that "we" "organize, fight and win:" Win what?
Win an end to income inequality? Win a real fight against climate change? Win an end to
US wars overseas? Hahaha. No. So you and I are not "we."
The Democratic party makes me sick.
Very truly yours,
(Emmet)

Having #DemExited after the convention, I don't expect to be
getting my very own rah-rah Team Blue begging letter from the DNC or its latest Clinton apologist-corporate flunky spokesmodel. So thanks for speaking for me.
