Friday night photography

I haven't seen one yet so if another person is working on one I'll take mine down
I am in Utah and we have been slammed with snowstorms for 5 days straight. Today was the first day I saw the sun in two weeks.
Perspective is everything. The first time the dawgs saw these statues they growled at them until they got over their fear and smelled them and realized they weren't real.
Today Abby saw those same deer from a different site and barked at them.
I walk down this road everyday and still see it differently.
Here's a shot of it during the fall.
And the same photo in winter
As always this is an open thread.

Hey Snoop. Thanks for posting.
Today we had our first blue sky for about a week. Grey makes me feel grey.
Anyway, here's our birch tree in the back garden

And one from a couple of years ago. Pebbles.
Okay, I'm off to bed.
Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.
Those rocks look delicious
and so shiny. Grey but red grey and blue grey and green grey.

Hey, SD--thanks for tonight's photography
thread! Thanks to BR, as well.
Beautiful seasonal photos of the cemetery. Of course, it's always nice to see your handsome 'dawgs.'
We've had loads of rain, some sleet, and even a tad of hail since our Indian Summer ended; but, except for a light dusting of snow about a month ago, no snow accumulation--until tomorrow (supposedly).
Have a nice weekend--hope you get some relief from your inclement weather.

Thanks Mollie
You can see how much snow we have received looking at the deer's leg.
I kept waking up to more snow after they said it was done.
We are done with the snow for awhile, but now it's going to be very cold. Oh well that's winter in Utah.
We haven't gotten as much snow in over a decade. And we need it to power the spy building which takes a million gallons of water a day.
Whose bright idea was it to build it in a desert state.

It is a jobs building site
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Hi Snoopy!
Same old here, but now it's saying next Saturday will be 40+* so hopefully I can get out with my camera. Hope to get out to Lee Kay Ponds this time.
This shit is bananas.

Impossible to see road under leaves
I would never have known. The deer are nice. Better than live ones. Off to bed after 20+ hours. Strange brew.

That was the last time they left the leaves on the road.

I used to rake/blow* leaves off my drive

The weather is crazy everywhere
Celery plant with seeds and spider webs through our window. There were a lot of volunteers. They are wild and unweilding but I love watching their ever changing visuals.
I am overwhelmed and depressed about global warming, anthropomorphic climate disruption. We had insane rains after four+ years of drought. The bird counts are down now after the storms. The Monarch bodies are strewn all over our property. Some are on leaves still grasping but dead. Hard to pry off. I have been documenting the dead birds on the beach for a couple of years. They are both beautiful and horrific at the same time.

Thanks for posting Snoopy
It is amazing how the things we see every day are always different and often beautifully different. The pictures of your road could be two different places if we did not know.

Hi, magiamma! Will do--
haven't forgotten. Actually, since I mentioned 'James,' the Westminster BIS, I've found another excellent Springer Kennel with gorgeous photos that I'd love to post.
Have a nice weekend!

Unusual hail storms in the Bay Area
On Jan 23 hail filled the holes in this doormat, forming little serving cups of hailstones.
Thank you psyched
That is a really cool image.
