The material, which has been seen by the Guardian, is a series of reports on Trump’s relationship with Moscow. They were drawn up by a former western counter-intelligence official, now working as a private consultant. BuzzFeed on Tuesday published the documents, which it said were “unverified and potentially unverifiable”.
The source? Rest assured:
An official in the US administration who spoke to the Guardian described the source who wrote the intelligence report as consistently reliable, meticulous and well-informed, with a reputation for having extensive Russian contacts.
Yet:
Despite glowing references from US and foreign officials who have worked with the source, there are some errors in the reports. One describes the Moscow suburb of Barvikha as “reserved for the residences of the top leadership and their close associates”, but although it is a very expensive neighbourhood, there are no restrictions on who can own property there. The document also misspells the name of a Russian banking corporation.
Meticulous, eh?

It's a very good piece and sets out the timelines and various claims very well.
There are solutions to Trump. They involve reasoned strategizing and patient focus on issues people actually care about. Whatever those solutions are, venerating the intelligence community, begging for its intervention, and equating their dark and dirty assertions as Truth are most certainly not among them. Doing that cannot possibly achieve any good, and is already doing much harm.

Conference, my 'guess' is that he won't go anywhere, of his own accord. I believe that is what terrifies the One Percent--he is not their Puppet. A Puppet would never cross the One Percent on 'free trade,' or suggest that he would not slash Social Security. When you think about it, no President in recent history has functioned as anything other than one (a puppet).
DT just flat out told one reporter to his face that his organization produces 'fake news.' (It may have been Acosta from CNN.) Can't wait to see the press reporting on this presser.
BTW, heard an interview with a former Secret Service agent the other day (XM), who says that (at this time) he still employs private bodyguards, but once the Secret Service began protecting him, they couldn't carry arms. My 'guess' is that he will keep these folks, since it would likely require the 'deep state' to take out others, to get to him. He just mentioned in the presser that he has had bodyguards for years, and routinely traveled in an entourage. And, obviously, he can afford to pick up the tab for them.
I'm be curious to see if he holds any more of them, soon. And, if he does, which reporters will be in attendance.

What if he is successful?
It's probable that Trump will have some initial successes, as he already has a few with Carrier and Ford. He will appear as a strong action President, something that we have not seen since FDR. Will his actions actually improve things? I don't know, but he will get accolades initially. His outreach to Russia will be seen as very positive, despite the bleating of the neocon sheep. The possible benefits are reduced global tensions, trade, coordination in defeating terrorism, cooperation in technology, use of the Arctic, moving Russia towards the West, etc, etc. People who are trying to project this as negative are going to have their asses handed to them. He can finish off the Democrat Party with a successful first 100 days. The Dems will be seen as petulant infants with their heads shoved firmly in the sand (edited for family use). Remember, he is the President, the most powerful person in the land, and he has no trouble using that power. I can't believe that the intelligence (yeah right) community has gone against him. This is a formula to get reorganized and downsized. Oh, wait a second, Trump already said that in reaction to" the report on Russia stealing the election from her majesty". Do you really think that Trump, the winner, really wants to hear that? Fasten your seat belts, folks this is going to get very interesting starting January 20. In fact, Russia, Iran, and China are the only powers who don't roam the world making wars. Like all countries in the world, they have border skirmishes. But they are nothing like horrific invaders and Death Eaters, the UK and the US, who bring destruction to the entire world and all nations.
Eurasia is the polar opposite of the Anglo Saxon Imperials. They don't want Empire. They want infrastructure for all nations so they can trade rapidly and efficiently by land, and open landlocked nations to trade. (The US terrorizes the seas and blockades seaports with sanctions, so the world must limit and de-emphasize maritime trade and underwrite a complete infrastructure buildout extending into Africa.) They will use the AIIB, instead of the nation-destroying IMF for infrastructure funding. They don't want a Unipolar world. The only thing they are willing to fight is terrorism that is threatening them, directly, at their borders.
The Neocons are beside themselves over this. They are trying as hard as they can to ignite as many wars as possible in Africa. But, alas, African nations have started switching to the Yuan for their own currency use. Money talks.
What's worse, the Neocon's actions and insanity, on display throughout the world, is driving a potential breakup of the Five Eyes. The US is starting to look a lot like the Hells Angels or the Mob to Asians. A protection racket.

Especially since, in a map showing the few countries outside those who formed 1% or (not much) more of DKos readership, I noticed Canada, Australia and UK (don't recall whether New Zealand showed or not, the other in the 5-Eye spy team) and I don't think any other country, as the US was nearly all of the readership.
