Putin is now officially guilty of EVERYTHING

keep-calm-and-blame-putin.png

Who is too blame for the rise of populist candidates?
The failure of neoliberalism?
Nope.
It's all because of Scary Putin.

A new report from NATO is following a narrative trend which began in the US and has since spread across Western Europe, accusing Russia of being to blame for the rise of populism worldwide, as an effort to undermine NATO and the European Union.
This report blames Russia for the election of Donald Trump in November, as well as last summer’s Brexit vote, in which Britain decided to withdraw from the European Union. It goes on to blame them for growing anti-EU movements in several other union nations, and for improving polling numbers in Germany and France for Euroskeptic parties.

Election not go your way? Blame Putin.
Economy sucks? Blame Putin.
People protesting? Blame Putin.
Stub your toe? Blame Putin.

It works for everything!
putin_0.jpg

Meanwhile, the Pentagon is preparing a military response to Scary Putin.

In a throwback to the Cold War, the US is stationing thousands of troops and tanks right in Russia's backyard to "enhance deterrence capabilities" in the region...
Eventually, tanks and other materiel will be stationed in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, and Romania.

Let's overlook the fact that, outside of an isolated sliver, Russia only borders two of those countries.

"These forces here were a direct response to the destabilizing efforts of the Russian government in the Ukraine," Lt. Gen. Tim Ray, Deputy Commander of US European Command, told KUSA.
Russia invaded the Ukrainian territory of Crimea in 2014 and eventually annexed it. Since then, a number of Baltic states have expressed fears of similar moves against them.

Let's also overlook the fact that Russia hasn't built up it's forces along the Baltic border.
Let's look at the timing instead.

Given that most of the actions in Ukraine that ostensibly have provoked the U.S. enhancement of its forces and their activities along the Russian border took place nearly three years ago, the question must be asked to what degree recent U.S. intelligence assessments of Russian intervention in the 2016 U.S. elections played a role in Mr. Obama’s decision to strengthen U.S. forces in the region.

of course it's Putin's fault! Never mind that Russia isn't even really Communist anymore, never mind that the West acts like Putin is nothing but an autocratic dictator (which he may be, I confess I do not know) but NOW he's responsible for Bernie Sanders too? What an amazing man! I mean Jeez, if he's that good we should recruit him as POTUS and quit messing around with the idiots here who can't seem to "influence" their way out of a paper bag! Obvious snark and these idiots deserve nothing but.

And don't forget about our capitalists who helped change Russia to an oligarchy, just like the US.

As in the meaning in the field of psychology.

Psychological projection also known as blame shifting is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in themselves, while attributing them to others. For example, a person who is rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude.

We, the US, are probably the most guilty of interfering with other nations on a extreme level to get them to behave the way we want. We use economic, political, and military power to do this. We fund various NGOs in other countries to effect the change that we desire. We also use surrogates, when the going gets tough we pay others to do the heavy or illegal or unethical lifting.

If any country were as successful as it is claimed that Russia is in effecting change in other countries, then they would be the role model that we would worship and emulate.

This whole episode of Russia bashing is pure politics. But why? This is an incredibly dangerous game. Both Russia and the US have thousands of nuclear warheads pointed at each other on hair triggers. Aren't we running the risk of Russia misinterpreting our actions? Or perhaps correctly interpreting our actions?

The absolute insanity of this is that the great prize is to work with Russia. Think about it, the advantages are huge and there is no downside to this. Clearly entrenched interests are scared shitless about this possibility, more so than inadvertent global thermonuclear war.

Only the psychopathic Killary would lead the charge (from behind, a la Obama) to seek first strike against anybody else with nukes also. And how many people around c99 believe Obama is sane? If sane is legally defined as knowing right from wrong, then he and the Evil Queen are both criminally insane.

Must agree, with the addition that obviously only a psychopath would engage in even non-nuclear murder and dispossession of people, in other countries as well as in their own, without conscience, supporting, enabling, ordering and even finding extreme cruelties amusing, in the pursuit of ever-increasing profit and power. Those who would destroy the world of life merely to take 'it all' away from others are utterly insane, not merely minus the human portion of their brain functions.

I actually thought it even more disgusting when they were only attacking those countries/people perceived as smaller, poorer and vulnerable, although they no doubt plan to Stuxnet the defensive capacity of the larger countries the schoolyard sadists are now emboldened to publicly threaten, despite the fact that the surviving smaller kids are still fighting for their lives and freedom in their own backyards and homes virtually in every case.

Even the largest military and surveillance systems in the world have a hard time micro-controlling an entire world without destroying it in the process, even if such destruction was admitted as potentially inconveniencing those who believe they will survive the destruction even of the entire global life-support system to live in a cloistered virtual world, no doubt with virtual power to keep the (glitchable) tech running, and perhaps with virtual oxygen, virtual water and virtual safe food. Or that technology/Super Jesus will somehow swoop in just in time to save them, the only deserving few in the whole, wide world.

Unfortunately both World Wars only increased our capability for world-wide military dominance and expansion of our own empire.

Here is a youtube video of a Q&A Putin had with some German reporters. Putin was asked if he was friend to the West. His answer was roughly he was not friend, not a bride, nor a groom, but rather the President of Russia and his job to look after the interests of the Russian Federation. Relationships between states are the not same as personal relationships and should be based on mutual interests. Seems a rather mature response.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPkqUX9rqj4

The problem of getting into issues of political morality and ethics is a non-starter for me. As a comparative, Putin's sins do not match what the Western countries have done both outside and inside their countries to warrant a massive military build up that risks nuclear war.

With the latest revelations as sourced to CNN, it looks to me like the deep state is ready to start taking serious actions against Trump. Is all this information meant to be used to remove Trump through immediate impeachment? To give the FBI/CIA enough justification to arrest Trump for some charge of espionage, etc.? Add to this the sudden quick build up of American troops in the Baltics--false flag? Obama has to declare a state of national emergency?

The deep state with the support of democrats is playing with fire. Serious fire. If Trump is removed, his supporters will take to the streets and I fully expect major violence in all parts of the country. Better get ready to bring in the National Guard as my impression is the police fully supported Trump, and no telling how they will handle violent Trump supporters.

how easy he would make it on 'the deep state' to carry out any such action.

I'm thinking that tomorrow was to be the day that he held a press conference--however, I wonder if it will transpire, now. At least, as scheduled.

It wouldn't surprise me if DT decided to continue residing in the Eastern WH--to coin a similar term from the Reagan era--at least, until the public inauguration has been carried out. IIRC, Presidents are actually officially sworn in before the public ceremony. Would it be possible for him to get sworn in, and cancel a public ceremony, altogether?

Also, could he simply refuse any more briefings, meetings, etc., in D.C., until, or unless he is subpoenaed? Dunno.

Heard today that the O's have invited him to the WH prior to the inauguration ceremony. Can't imagine that DT will keep that appointment, when the reporting is blatant that it was this Administration that ensured that the intelligence officers presented him with the memo in question, a couple of days ago.

All of these events help to explain 'why' the MSM and the Bipartisan Establishment appear to fear his Twitter account so much--they may be concerned that he'll ignite civil unrest, if they bring charges.

Whew!

For sure, this is going to be a fascinating few weeks and months ahead.

This, after visiting the U.S. Consulate, and specifically asking if she needed a visa. (Unbelievable fact of Russian wedge's existence, verified using BIG kids map book in doctor's office waiting room by me - I seriously thought she was full of shit!)

**It was something like a 13 hr ordeal. The military ("A beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed boy in his early 20s," who, "sounded American") eventually put her in a cab, and near the Russia/Poland border, cabbie pulls over, tells her he'll be back, and returns with a crate. Then he proceeds to remove the door panels, and load the doors with vodka. She loses her shizit, and runs to a nearby shop. The woman inside understands enough English to call her a new cab that safely, and uneventfully takes her to the border.**

The West Marches East, Part 1: The U.S.-NATO Strategy to Isolate Russia
Andrew Gavin Marshall I Geopolitics I Analysis I April 17th, 2014

...The U.S. Ambassador to the USSR from 1987 to 1991, John F. Matlock Jr., later noted that the end of the Cold War was not 'won' by the West, but was brought about "by negotiation to the advantage of both sides." Yet, he noted, "the United States insisted on treating Russia as the loser ." The United States almost immediately violated the agreement established in 1990, and NATO began moving eastwards, much to the dismay of the Russians. The new Russian President, Boris Yeltsin, warned that NATO's expansion to the East threatened a 'cold peace' and was a violation of the " spirit of conversations " that took place in February of 1990 between Soviet, West German and American leaders.

In 1990, President Bush's National Security Strategy for the United States acknowledged that, "even as East-West tensions diminish, American strategic concerns remain," noting that previous U.S. military interventions which were justified as a response to Soviet 'threats', were - in actuality - "in response to threats to U.S. interests that could not be laid at the Kremlin's door," and that, "the necessity to defend our interests will continue." In other words, decades of justifications for war by the United States - blaming 'Soviet imperialism' and 'Communism' - were lies, and now that the Soviet Union no longer existed as a threat, American imperialism will still have to continue.

Former National Security Adviser - and arch-imperial strategist - Zbigniew Brzezinski noted in 1992 that the Cold War strategy of the United States in advocating "liberation" against the USSR and Communism (thus justifying military interventions all over the world), " was a strategic sham, designed to a significant degree for domestic political reasons... the policy was basically rhetorical, at most tactical."

The Pentagon drafted a strategy in 1992 for the United States to manage the post-Cold War world, where the primary mission of the U.S. was "to ensure that no rival superpower is allowed to emerge in Western Europe, Asia or the territories of the former Soviet Union." As the New York Times noted, the document - largely drafted by Pentagon officials Paul Wolfowitz and Dick Cheney - "makes the case for a world dominated by one superpower whose position can be perpetuated by constructive behavior and sufficient military might to deter any nation or group of nations from challenging American primacy."

This strategy was further enshrined with the Clinton administration, whose National Security Adviser, Anthony Lake, articulated the 'Clinton doctrine' in 1993 when he stated that: "The successor to a doctrine of containment must be a strategy of enlargement - enlargement of the world's free community of market democracies," which "must combine our broad goals of fostering democracy and markets with our more traditional geostrategic interests."
Under Bill Clinton's imperial presidency, the United States and NATO went to war against Serbia, ultimately tore Yugoslavia to pieces (itself representative of a 'third way' of organizing society, different than both the West and the USSR), and NATO commenced its Eastward expansion . ...

...The 'Orange Revolution' in Ukraine in 2004 was - as Ian Traynor wrote in the Guardian - " an American creation, a sophisticated and brilliantly conceived exercise in western branding and mass marketing," with funding and organizing from the U.S. government, "deploying US consultancies, pollsters, diplomats, the two big American parties and US non-governmental organizations." ...

And this was prior to the 'legalization' of US government propaganda for the purpose of conning the American people. And, speaking of the Clintons (bolding mine):

...Mark Almond wrote in the Guardian in 2004 that, "throughout the 1980s, in the build-up to 1989's velvet revolutions, a small army of volunteers - and, let's be frank, spies - co-operated to promote what became People Power." This was represented by "a network of interlocking foundations and charities [which] mushroomed to organize the logistics of transferring millions of dollars to dissidents." The money itself " came overwhelmingly from NATO states and covert allies such as 'neutral' Sweden," as well as through the billionaire George Soros' Open Society Foundation. Almond noted that these "modern market revolutionaries" would bring people into office "with the power to privatize." Activists and populations are mobilized with "a multimedia vision of Euro-Atlantic prosperity by Western-funded 'independent' media to get them on the streets." After successful Western-backed 'revolutions' comes the usual economic 'shock therapy' which brings with it "mass unemployment, rampant insider dealing, growth of organized crime, prostitution and soaring death rates." Ah, democracy! ...

Two 'political' parties with but a single pathology... no wonder that the two-party trade-off trap is so strictly enforced by TPTB against the American people.

So, what price Clinton Foundation involvement, considering what we've managed to learn, as far as I can see, mostly via whistleblowers leaking, WikiLeaks and the tellingly bizarre 'explanations' of various agency heads and other public officials for extremely corrupt-appearing transactions and communications between/regarding the Clinton Foundation and large donors who happened to be in, acting for or connected to various foreign governments and financial institutions shuffling 'secret' money around for the ultra-wealthy, a group I'd confidently expect to be voted most likely to produce those very few actually benefiting from the overthrow of democratic governments/any Heads of State working for the public good to any extent and of the installation of destructive puppet governments draining and industrially poisoning their people, ecologies and countries for ever-increasing corporate/billionaire profits?

Now that government propagandization of The People of America has been illegally and unconstitutionally 'legalized' by corrupt public officials, with investigations and charges against corrupt public officials illegally and unconstitutionally stymied by such illegal and unconstitutional 'laws' passed against the public interest by such corrupt public officials and Homeland Security has taken control over the long-rigged US elections, shutting out any shriveled hope of independent/citizen oversight/verification of accuracy in reported electoral results, will the American people continue to accept even this degree of blatancy employed by their selected government in their own ongoing dispossession and expendability and the extinction-for-profit of virtually all life on the planet in the near future in order to enable a relative few - however briefly - to claim totalitarian planetary power and control?

I'd suggest (re-)reading this interesting refresher in full at source, ideally right after doing the same with CB's linked paper, if at all possible.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/foreign-governments-gave-million...

Foreign governments gave millions to foundation while Clinton was at State Dept.

By Rosalind S. Helderman and Tom HamburgerFebruary 25, 2015

The Clinton Foundation accepted millions of dollars from seven foreign governments during Hillary Rodham Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state, including one donation that violated its ethics agreement with the Obama administration, foundation officials disclosed Wednesday.

Most of the contributions were possible because of exceptions written into the foundation’s 2008 agreement, which included limits on foreign-government donations.

The agreement, reached before Clinton’s nomination amid concerns that countries could use foundation donations to gain favor with a Clinton-led State Department, allowed governments that had previously donated money to continue making contributions at similar levels. ...

... The Washington Post reported last week that foreign sources, including governments, made up a third of those who have given the foundation more than $1 million over time. The Post found that the foundation, begun by former president Bill Clinton, has raised nearly $2 billion since its creation in 2001.

Foreign governments and individuals are prohibited from giving money to U.S. political candidates, to prevent outside influence over national leaders. But the foundation has given donors a way to potentially gain favor with the Clintons outside the traditional political limits. ...

... A review of foundation disclosures shows that at least two foreign governments — Germany and the United Arab Emirates — began giving in 2013 after the funding restrictions lapsed when Clinton left the Obama administration. ...

...Foundation officials said last week that if Clinton runs, they will consider taking steps to address concerns over the role of foreign donors.

“We will continue to ensure the Foundation’s policies and practices regarding support from international partners are appropriate, just as we did when she served as Secretary of State,” the foundation said in a statement. ...

... Foundation officials said Wednesday that the ethics review process required under the 2008 agreement for new donors — or for existing foreign-government donors wishing to “materially increase” their support — was never initiated during Clinton’s State Department years. ...

And the proof is in the pudding! Just look at how many tainted and ineffective AIDs drugs those billions bought and how many luxury hotels that 2 billion - presumably accumulated by 2013/2014, going by the date written and depending upon how recent the available data was at the time - had enabled for suffering people around the world stricken with disaster! Although administrative costs are, indeed, high...

Now the craze for 'charitable Foundations' amongst certain of the politically-connected super-wealthy can potentially be viewed with 20% more perspective!

Looks to me as though the corporate/billionaire terrorists have been partially 'charitably' funding themselves tax-free, as well as using the public money and resources of the people of various countries, en route to global corporate/military theft and destruction of the Earth itself and it all essentially rests on letting faked elections, appalling appointments to public service positions with the clear intent of abuse and unconstitutional 'law-making', as well as law-breaking, for the few and their lackeys, stand as a 'done deal to be fixed later', until it's too late.

, the question must be asked to what degree recent U.S. intelligence assessments of Russian intervention in the 2016 U.S. elections played a role in Mr. Obama’s decision to strengthen U.S. forces in the region. Maybe the question should be what role does the military build up in the area and on Russia's border play in the accusations that Russia hacked the election, or maybe both.

in 2015 called Operation Atlantic Resolve as a response to the repatriation of Crimea by Russia. The cost has gone from $1 billion in 2015 to $3.4 billion for 2017. It involves rotations in Poland and the Baltic states.

I really think the putsch in Kiev was timed to coincide with the Sochi games. The US expected it to cause enough turmoil that Sevastopol and Crimea could be compromised and be taken over by the new puppet government. They didn't expect Putin's lightning fast response that ended up sealing the Crimean border before the Banderites could infiltrate and cause mayhem to be blamed on him.

Putin knows the American playbook by heart.

Vladimir Putin Is the Only Leader the West Has

Putin does not want war. He is doing everything in his power to avoid it. But Putin is not going to surrender Russia to Washington.

A Reuters news report under the names of presstitutes Robin Emmott and Sabine Siebold shows how devoid the West is of honest, intelligent and responsible journalists and government officials.

First we will examine the dishonesty or incompetence of the reporters and then that of Western government officials.

The hate is ratcheted into place now. It's over. 50% of Dems believe Putin personally oversaw hacking voting machines, changing vote totals. The propaganda worked quickly and effectively. Far too many people are gone now.

Any dissent means you are a Putin agent.
Every clerk teller, every phone, every computer, everything is now linked to Putin.

Notice the insanity of it.
You either accept the lie, or fight against it though be labeled the lie.
Put another way, if you push back against the idea that Putin is an all-powerful being and that everyone is an agent of Putin, you suddenly become an agent of Putin. You can no longer fight against it.

Luckily the Dems are now grossly outnumbered by Indies and probably by Repubs as well. That without taking into account the many falsified polls and media claims intended to influence public perception of which we have been made aware.

Reposting this yet again, with some additions, including that of my emphasis in some quoted areas:

Please note the year in which this was passed, and under which Dem President - and that the State Dept. (among others) seems still loaded with 'above the law' Clinton appointees/supporters publicly and purportedly 'legally' lying through their teeth.

The NDAA Legalizes The Use Of Propaganda On The US Public

Michael B Kelley

May 21, 2012

The newest version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) includes an amendment that would legalize the use of propaganda on the American public, reports Michael Hastings of BuzzFeed.

The amendment — proposed by Mac Thornberry (R-Texas) and Adam Smith (D-Wash.) and passed in the House last Friday afternoon — would effectively nullify the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948, which explicitly forbids information and psychological operations aimed at influencing U.S. public opinion.

Thornberry said that the current law “ties the hands of America’s diplomatic officials, military, and others by inhibiting our ability to effectively communicate in a credible way,” according to Buzzfeed.

The vote came two days after a federal judged ruled that an indefinite detention provision in the annual defense bill was unconstitutional.

Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, who released a highly critical report regarding the distortion of truth by senior military officials in Iraq and Afghanistan, dedicated a section of his report to Information Operations (IO) and states that after Desert Storm the military wanted to transform IO "into a core military competency on a par with air, ground, maritime and special operations." ...

... If the NDAA goes into effect in its current form, the State Department and Pentagon can go beyond manipulating mainstream media outlets and directly disseminate campaigns of misinformation to the U.S. public.

And for those who may be on devices making the following of links difficult:

How the NDAA Allows US Gov to Use Propaganda Against Americans

22 Jul, 2013 by Susanne Posel

The US government has unbound the legal regulations against using propaganda against foreign audiences and American citizens. The intention is to sway public opinion by using television, radio, newspapers, and social media targeting the American and foreign people in controlled psy-ops.

The newest version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has an amendment added that negates the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948 (SMA) and the Foreign Relations Authorization Act of 1987.

These laws made propaganda used to influence foreigners and US citizens illegal. Without these laws, disinformation could run rampant throughout our information junkets.

This amendment added to the NDAA has passed into implementation as of this month.

SMA defines the prohibition of domestic access to influence information through a variety of means, from broadcast to publishing of books, media, and online sources by restricting the State Department.

The Broadcasting Board of Governors was created from SMA. This agency claims to “inform, engage, and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy”. They omit that their specialty is making sure propaganda is added to the informational flow we all depend on.

The amendment sanctions the US government, without restriction, the use of any mode of message to control how we perceive our world. ...

... According to Michael Hastings : “The new law would give sweeping powers to the State Department and Pentagon to push television, radio, newspaper, and social media onto the U.S. public. “It removes the protection for Americans,” says a Pentagon official who is concerned about the law. “It removes oversight from the people who want to put out this information. There are no checks and balances. No one knows if the information is accurate, partially accurate, or entirely false.”

Representatives Mac Thornberry (R-TX) and Adam Smith (D-WA) in the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act (2012) (H.R. 5736), advocate that it is time to liberate the authority of the US government to broadcast American produced foreign propaganda in the U.S.

The amendment, which was hidden within the NDAA, has remained relatively unnoticed. However, it empowers the State Department and Pentagon to utilize all forms of media against the American public for the sake of coercing US citizens to believe whatever version of the truth the US government wants them to believe.

All oversight is removed with Amendment 114 . Regardless of whether the information disseminated is truthful, partially truthful or completely false bears no weight. ...

... Four billion dollars per year is spent by the Pentagon on propaganda aimed at the American public; as well as $202 million spent by the Department of Defense on misinformation operations in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2011.

Currently, the Pentagon is using “ sock puppet ” (fake handles) on social media sites to purvey false information, harass users and enact psy-ops to influence Americans. ...

... US Army whistleblower, Lieutenant Col. Daniel Davis believes there is a definitive aspiration within the US government “to enable Public Affairs officers to influence American public opinion when they deem it necessary to “protect a key friendly center of gravity, to wit US national will.”

Edward Bernays would be proud.

As those reporting facts are threateningly accused of somehow unduly 'hacking/influencing the election', one can also see by the light of the projection itself that those accusers using expedient and multipurpose fictions to achieve their own destructive aims always accuse others of what they do themselves...

And when government propaganda and all other abuses are illegally made 'law', no protective agency could even pretend to run any real investigation or place charges against corrupt officials - and how do they tell the hens destined for the factory farm that the foxes have long since established their coup by betraying their country, Constitution and people, spreading corruption world-wide and illegally altering law to ensure that, for the relative few, the world is to be their oyster, to be helplessly devoured alive? This assuming that The People continue to accept illegal and unconstitutional self-interest-selected 'government' and 'law' as 'legitimate and binding' and continue to wait for some miraculous outside aid for long enough - just a little bit longer, while the last jack-booted step is completed - of course.

The notion of there ever having been any intention of establishing a democracy which could be removed and altered to a fascist, oligarchical or other non-democratic state at any point by anyone in public office at the time is so far beyond ludicrous as to be insane - once adopted, democracy is an inherent state, entailed for those to come in perpetuity.

In a democracy, those charged with and paid by the public for serving the public interest can never claim any 'authority' to control the minds and perceptions of The People to whom the country and government belong. They have merely revealed themselves, yet again, of having betrayed the oath to uphold their Constitution which they must make and keep in order to hold - or to retain - such public office and the powers delegated by The People in order that the office-holders may serve the public interest.

Edited to add: Now that Homeland Security has seized upon the '9/11/Russia/whatever they think sounds plausible' excuse to now take over control of elections, does anyone think it's actually still possible for Americans to vote their way out of this? This time, it's ALL of OUR lives, fortunes and sacred honor being not risked but sacrificed by a relative few in order to destroy the very concept of democracy, as well as life on the planet in the very near future.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

…at the end of this long discussion. Your own comments are very interesting, as well.

You have a lot of focus invested into some very important topics. In this case, it's a core issue from which everything politically possible emerges: "If the American people are thoroughly misinformed and their attitudes about reality have been manipulated to give support to policies that are against their own best interests — what is the point of this endless struggle on the Left?"

All evidence from the second half of the twentieth-century onward suggests that engagement in US politics is a waste of a human life on nationalism. I am amazed that people don't leave for more worthy places, in order to actualize their full potential in true liberty. Are they not driven to see their unique potential fully bloom? Was the human drive for the evolution of self extinguished by American culture?

Oh well. I just wondered that you don't assemble your thoughts and insights into published essays. You have amassed a lot of knowledge and expertise in revealing the deliberate sabotage that undermines American society.

Thanks again for this pool of significant links.
