the thought of entering a pub near a jagged coast on a stormy winter's evening puts me into an altered state of mind. I have spent far too many years in the flatlands of Nebraska (a redundant phrase for a polyglot, indeed) and I often pine for the exotic. I need a coastline and a drink that ain't bland!
Two vacuums newish plugs and cords. Dog dislike here.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

I'm buying the first round...
when the maintenance is done.
Who's buying the second?
I would buy, but have not been much for drankin' during
the day since I was a young buck. Heh. Used to get up in the morning on camping trips and use tequila for mouthwash.
Thanks for all you do!
A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.
Only if I'm up that late.
Which is entirely possible for this night owl.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Guinness Extra Stout (on tap preferred)
I'll buy the second if you can lend me a few quid till next wednesday.
Someday I will get across the pond and have a pint the way the gods intended.
Enjoy the beer warm? That's English
I like beer cold, That's Amurikan. Don't get confused: Extra Stout is better than plain "draught"
I am used to the 'murikan way but . . .

John Cage
That might be the best comment I've ever seen.
Thanks for the warning...
and all the work you do to keep us up and running!

I may have to vacuum then.

Thank you, JtC, for both the
maintenance and the heads up.
