Way to seize the moral high ground, guys...
You know there's an actual thing going on in North Dakota that could use that energy.
Or Fergusen..
Or OWS.
You know, the ones you stayed home for because it was Obama, and therefore cool.
Being played by the MSM and they're too stupid to realize it. Already there's been talk about threatening electors to ensure they vote for Hillary...
Trump sucks, but he can't do anything. YET. Obama can and currently IS doing shit.
Fucking Hypocrites.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
Hypocrites?
Are they hypocrites? Or are the well deserved pitchforks and torches finally coming out?
Protests regarding the Trump victory are breaking out all over the country. These aren't people opposed to the protests in North Dakota or Ferguson, either. They're largely folks who are pissed off because they had nobody to vote for, who had any chance of winning, who represented them and their values at all. How many times have you heard me say that "Clinton is Trump; Trump is Clinton"?
Not all effective protest against the system follows nice, orderly rules. Sometimes we must needs take the anger where it is to be found in the wild, and channel it to the places where we know it needs to go.

Yes, they are hypocrites, if you read their stuff.
Not a WORD about anything to do with anything that is going on, apart from the election.
Every single word is "Sexist, Racist, Nazi Trump" Lots, and lots of Hillary Slogans in full display. (Lot's and lots of it, in fact. Every single Sign seems to be a repudiation of "Grab her by the Pussy" or "Pence HATES gays."
I would even expect and accept "Burn it down" as a reasonable response to this. Anything that suggests that these people were thinking about anything other than one single day, and the failed campaign.
Not the mouthing of platitudes of the 1%. Lots of Hillary Celebs cheering this too.
If this is all they're going to protest, it'll be forgotten as soon as the Dems need to run corporate again. They love to pull out their populist mask whenever convenient, but they're already making their surrender motions.
Same shit happened with Bush II.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
That's not what was happening in Colorado.
In Colorado, at least, there were signs about why the election went south, not just a bunch of Killary slogans. But I live in a pretty damn weird place (Colorado Springs), as you know.
I was so hoping this was evidence of the American body politic growing a pair about something, anything.
Looks like I may be headed for yet another disappointment.

I share your feelings.
I'd love it if this was something concrete.
But I saw it before when Bush II took over, beat for beat. Same shit, same tactics, and same effects.
People will feel better about losing, then go home and watch tv while the Rethugs continue business as usual.
Let me be wrong. PLEASE let me be wrong. But I know I'm not.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
My son has been getting these Facebook post from all
kinds of morons who, for some damn reason or another (never took an Amer. Gov. class?), think that there is a way to keep Trump out of the White House. One genius said 'just don't swear him in'. Then there's the 'someone ought to assassinate him' crowd. He was letting me read the posts. There are some extremely ignorant young people out there folks. And the part I really feel sort of sad about mentioning is that except for one, THEY ARE ALL FEMALE. What in the Hell is going on? They are sure that there's a way of keeping Trump out of the White House, including assassination. (I thought you couldn't say things like someone should assassinate someone on Facebook. I thought your account got shut down or something and the authorities were called for that nonsense. Am I wrong?)
My son is 23 and most of these people look to be his age, but looks can be deceiving. I know for damn sure that 23 is 15 points way too high to be their I.Q. This is the future of our country? I'm glad I'm old and have blood pressure problems if it is. These young people, and there are a number of them, are brain dead **ignorant**.
What's the deal? Did Sanders get all the smart ones?
I just read where there was a few thousand outside of Trump Towers protesting and they're being led by Lady Gaga. I am hoping she had her ass covered for a change, it's probably cold out tonight.
I wonder, do these fools really think they can change anything? Has America dumbed down that much?

Anybody else feel like we really dodged a bullet by not letting these nutjobs take power?
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
dodged a bullet
We dodged that bullet.
Unfortunately, there are plenty more in the AK-47 that shot that one at us. (The Dupoply and its political system, that is.)

I think this is something else -- potentially GOOD.
I think this just might be something else.
I think this just might be the first installment of the long-overdue pitchforks and torches.
It won't prevent The Donald from becoming President, of course, But it just might remind him that some of us are insisting that his deeds follow the words of his acceptance speech, rather than altogether too many things he said during the campaign.
We need to take that anger where it is found in the wild, and use it as a tool to help us recover the power over this nation that rightly belongs to us alone.

It's a bullshit DNC stunt.
Lady Gaga is a dead giveaway.

As I just mentioned....
..... I'm disappointed.
I was so hoping for the much-overdue pitchforks and torches.
Damn.

Maybe it's just me, but this seems petty and childish.
He won, fair and square, unlike Hillary in the primaries. Democrats may not like the result, but that's how our system works. This is pointless.
Why not protest outside Hillary's house and demand answers about pay-to-play accusations? Why not protest DNC offices for allowing this atrocity to happen? Why not protest outside the White House against TPP? Why not protest at the CNN offices against biased coverage? Why not do something worthwhile and stand against the DAPL? This feels like one giant temper tantrum because the media lied to them and the anointed one failed to deliver.
There were a number of riots
(oh wait....they are white...make that protests) in California and other places last night which involve burning trash and tires in the streets along with breaking windows. These are the reasonable, rational people who kept telling us that we weren't (reasonable or rational that is). Didn't la HRC tell them this morning to play nice?
Keep an eye on corporate media. Some of them are egging it on.
I hear that attack dogs, pepper spray and rubber bullets and many, many arrests are highly recommended.
