Yes, Virginia, Hillary is the Enemy.

It's telling when fellow Liberals negate the merits of my argument by declaring them solely a by-product of "Right Wing Hate Speech". Or by declaring that Hillary is being held up to a higher standard than all the other corrupt politicians before her because she's a girl.

It's telling because this election, like no other before it, has changed the political landscape. It has upended my sense of justice in a way that has permeated almost every aspect of my worldview. It has taken my years of loyalty and activism and turned me into a cynic who views The Clintons as a representation of unchecked money, power, corruption, and hubris that infects our polity.

After witnessing the depraved power grab by the DNC, after reading the WikiLeaks emails and coming to grips with the Machiavellian lengths Clinton's campaign has gone in this election, I am no longer willing to tow the party line in the spirit of "unity". This is not about the Left vs. the Right anymore. This is about the powerful vs the powerless.

I am deeply deeply disturbed by Hillary's "private" positions on fracking; the TPP; Social Security; intervening in the outcomes of foreign elections; the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia; and the fact that Bush/Cheney war criminals like Richard Armitage and John Negroponte are endorsing her while fellow Liberals wring their hands over the daily carnage of women and children in Aleppo yet reward this immoral war profiteering with their vote.

I am outraged that the Clinton Campaign and the DNC colluded with the media in an effort to "elevate" Trump's campaign by instructing the media in a strategy memo to take his campaign seriously ensuring he would be the "Pied Piper" candidate in the GOP primary. Consequently, Trump was given $2 Billion worth of free advertising, and now that he is the nominee, we are being blackmailed into voting for HER. I'm not sure which is worse, the gobsmacking venality on the Clinton's part in hatching Trump's grotesque candidacy with the media, or the gun the Clinton's are holding to our head now that the monster is loose.

Which brings me to why I am so disgusted with the media and their complicity to deceive us. They have effectively become the propaganda arm of the powerful with little pushback from a large portion of the electorate. I cannot wrap my head around the blind allegiance of so many to the stinking rot of what the Democratic Party has become.

Despite what the DNC would like us to believe, this election is not about Donald Trump. It is not about the Russians. It is not about the Republicans. It is not about SCOTUS. It is not even about Bernie. It is about the breath taking scope of the corruption that has been revealed and that we can never un-see.

So, in response to the plea that was made here yesterday over our "misguided" misgivings about voting for Hillary, I submit this essay to refute that patronizing assumption. As my own eyes can see what is happening, it is clear that Hillary Clinton and the powerfully corrupt political machine she is fueling are, in fact, the Enemy.

The Clinton's and the DNC are so corrupt and anathema to everything I believe that I could never support her, or the Democratic party ever again.

If my junk was on fire, and Hillary had the last extinguisher on the planet and all I would need to do to get it would be to cast my vote for her I know exactly what course of action I would take.

Sit back and try to enjoy the smell of Barbecue.

I will never vote for Hillary Clinton--and in case they get any wise ideas, I'll never vote for that mealy-mouthed daughter of hers, either, should she ever run for office.

I used to think that "how they raised Chelsea" was one of the few things to like about Bill and Hill--but once she opened her mouth and started spewing absolute nonsense on the campaign trail, on behalf of her mother, it occurred to me that "geesh, maybe it was a bad idea to raise the kid in the bubble after all?"

I don't respond well to extortion or any other kind of manipulation, for that matter. If the Trump "elevators" are holding a gun to my head, I feel that it's my duty to turn it right back on them. It's no great loss: we were going to have an asshole mega-rich president either way, but only one of them came by his nomination through an apparently democratic process. And he managed to do so in spite of relentless propaganda. The fact that he does not appear to want to serve as POTUS (I think he's in it to help HRC win) is actually kind of a plus for me.

I was never naive, having grown up outside DC, but the utter arrogance, the hubris, the contempt for the people who counted on the Democrats to speak for them is, thanks to Wikileaks, now revealed in all its ugliness. I hope to hell this incompetent, corrupt, warmonger goes down in flames. Can that party ever recover? Think cockroaches.

I'm used to party hacks, the rotating villain of the month game and other means of deception. But the press as full-time propaganda purveyor has taken us to a very dangerous place indeed. From the Bernie Blackout through the current Wikileaks blackout+substance-free Blame Putin campaign, and everything in between, the mainstream media has been appallingly dishonest and manipulative. Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes and so many others are covered in sleaze. Even more than the complicit DOJ, the use of the press ot manufacture consent is a direct assault on our democracy. And unfortunately, a very effective one. The fact that Clinton, Inc., its shareholders, and its subsidiary, the DNC, are willing to deploy this weapon against us lets me know that they are decidedly not the lesser evil and must therefore be defeated. Four years of a Trump presidency would be a relatively small price to pay to beat back this kind of tyranny.

fear, they've got us right where they want us: with no choice (or the only "sane" choice, as they keep telling us) but to reward their lying and cheating by voting for Hillary. The truth is, we still have other options. I no longer have any hope that the DNC can be reformed, so it has to be destroyed. If that's true, can we please consider the fact that Trump and Clinton may be working together? Doesn't that piece of evidence make it much more likely to be true?

Especially when both Clinton and Trump - now that the latter appears to be potentially getting serious about the Presidency and as Hillary self-implodes and her health, both physically and mentally, fails - have similar running-mates/back-up Presidents ready even on their own to enact the fascist agenda of TPTB. Guess who I suspect may have arranged/approved this, in case Hillary can't be cheated in or otherwise make it until the election?

(All bolding and other emphasis in following quotes is mine.)
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/jul/15/mike-pence-donald-trump-...

... Pence’s reputation as a crusader against abortion, gay rights and Planned Parenthood. ...

... The devout Pence could be a useful antidote. An early advocate of the Tea Party movement, he has voted with social conservatives for nearly his entire time in office, putting him more in line with the far right of the Republican party. He is also seen as a potential asset on the Trump ticket because he is trusted by pro-Israel conservatives.

But first and foremost, Pence mitigates Trump’s lack of experience in office. The father of three is a political veteran who has served as both governor and member of Congress. He also has close ties to billionaire donors Charles and David Koch, including current and ex-staff who have worked for them. ...

... He has backed the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which is supported by Barack Obama and which Trump has called a “rape” of the US, for instance, and derided Trump’s call to bar Muslims from entering the US.

“Calls to ban Muslims from entering the US are offensive and unconstitutional,” he tweeted in December. Pence was, however, one of several governors who tried in vain to prevent Syrian refugees from coming to their state.

He has also voted to restrict Medicare rules, and in favor of the war in Iraq. ...

... The decision to add Pence to the ticket could help Trump persuade dissenters who would have preferred the fire-and-brimstone brand of candidates like Ted Cruz, whom Pence endorsed just before the Indiana primary, comparing him with Reagan as a “principled conservative”.

Pence was elected governor of his home state in 2012, but first gained national repute for signing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act in 2015. The controversial law allowed businesses to use religious freedom as an affirmative defence in lawsuits, and was seen as a sanction for people with religious objections to decline services for same-sex couples. ...

... He enacted one of Indiana’s largest cuts to state income tax, and briefly tried to create a state-run news outlet that would make stories available to local newspapers. He was quickly accused of trying to create a propaganda outlet for his administration, and he ended the initiative.

Earlier this year, Pence signed a law that made Indiana only the second state in the union to ban abortions because the foetus has a disability. ...

And Pence is evidently a far-right psychopathic windsock paired with another psychopathic blow-hard billionaire, neither of which would help balance the other in serving TPTB against the public interest, even if they had any choice under corporate 'law'.

Anti-Bernie: Hillary Taps Wall St. Crony, Pro-Tpp former DNC Head As VP

21:43 23.07.2016(updated 01:15 24.07.2016)

... "Let’s be really clear: It should be disqualifying for any potential Democratic vice presidential candidate to be part of the lobbyist-driven effort to help banks dodge consumer protection standards and regulations designed to prevent banks from destroying our economy," Democracy for America executive director Charles Chamberlain said in a statement Thursday. ...

... Kaine notably voted to provide President Obama fast-track negotiating authority for the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership deal that would fetter away American sovereignty to an unelected cabal that can force US taxpayers to compensate companies whose products violate the country’s health and safety standards. The secretive deal, many worry, would also lead to more outsourcing of US jobs and a further crackdown on American workplace protections. Kaine’s spokeswoman confirmed that the US Senator is a proponent of TPP saying that he was "obviously favorably inclined" to the deal. ...

... His policy on regulating Wall Street may be far worse even than his position trade. Maine state Rep. Dianne Russell explained that "Kaine, in what many consider a signal to Wall Street, signed two letters this week to banking regulators and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau urging them to loosen regulations of the financial industry. That sentiment flies in the face of the majority of democratic voters who supported both Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders." ...

... The Virginia Senator has also called for greater NATO presence to combat the threat of Russian "aggression" in Crimea and serving as a resounding critic of Moscow’s efforts to stabilize Syria arguing that President Putin only looks to prop up Assad rather than combat Daesh. ...

This isn't a loyalty test, it's a sanity test.

http://readersupportednews.org/opinion2/277-75/38166-by-picking-anti-abo...

By Picking Anti-Abortion Tim Kaine, Hillary Is Testing Feminists' Loyalty

By Nora Caplan-Bricker, Slate

23 JULY 16

... it’s hard to know whether Kaine’s new look reflects his own changing attitudes, or the changing shape of the Democratic Party. In 2005, he ran for governor on promises to promote adoption, reduce abortion, and support the farce that is abstinence-only sex education. While in office, he backed a so-called partial birth abortion ban, which prohibits a certain method of mid- and late-term abortion, though he supported exceptions in cases where a woman’s health was endangered. He also supported a parental consent law that requires minors to get a parent’s signoff before obtaining an abortion—and though that law theoretically includes a “judicial bypass” option, teens are often prevented from using it by misinformation, as the Huffington Post has reported.

Kaine also bears some responsibility for Virginia’s “informed consent” law, which, among other things, requires women seeking abortions to submit to a medically unnecessary ultrasound. He said in 2008 that the law would provide “women information about a whole series of things, the health consequences, et cetera, and information about adoption.” But the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-reproductive rights research organization, has found that many states provide women with “incomplete or inaccurate information,” and that laws like the one Kaine shepherded into Virginia’s constitution often amount to “informational manipulation” of women in already vulnerable situations.

In 2007, NARAL Pro-Choice America gave Virginia an “F” in its annual reproductive freedom report and called Kaine a “mixed choice” governor. Two years later, Kaine incensed local and national women’s rights groups by signing a law that allowed the sale of “Choose Life” license plates whose proceeds went to anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers. “It is unfortunate that, even after receiving thousands of messages from Virginians and pro-choice activists across the country, Gov. Kaine has opted to sign a bill that advances a divisive political ideology at the expense of women's health,” Nancy Keenan, then-president of NARAL, said at the time.

How much should progressives care that Clinton picked Kaine, a man who has loyally voted with his party on abortion in the Senate, but who created barriers for women in the state of Virginia? ...

Going by his past, it indicates to me that he's a Party loyalist where he does not control. As President, he would, provided TPTB approved or didn't care.

And he's another opportunistic medical-rape-imposing windsock paired with one operator of the Clinton corruption machine for whom rules and laws - and decency - do not apply. Neither of which would help balance the other in serving TPTB against the public interest, even if they had any choice under corporate 'law'.

Took a break to watch missed Redacted episodes while eating - hadn't known/recalled (does seem to ring a faint bell? Or was that perhaps just speculation about something of the kind?) that Maddow (not that this was astounding, considering,) was one of those invited to a message-framing Clinton cocktail party for media and top Clinton staffers - fully off-the-record, of course - prior to Hill starting her run. (Starting around 16:40, if anyone else missed this.)

The New York Times reported at the time that Adelson was prepared to spend up to $100 million to elect Trump, a greater sum than he has invested in previous elections.

In the following months, however, Adelson seemed to sour on Trump, instead focusing on congressional races amid fears of the Republicans losing control of Congress due to Trump’s weak polling numbers and numerous controversial statements. He gave at least $40 million to super PACs focused solely on the fight for Congress, and the $10 million he initially dedicated to a pro-Trump super PAC was spent only on advertising in states with competitive Senate races.

Trump’s campaign has been plagued by charges of anti-Semitism, racism and sexism, and the nominee has been accused of running a divisive, hate-driven campaign.

Adelson is a prominent donor to Jewish causes and a staunch supporter of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

What is Adelson seeing that would make him think Trump would be better for his goals than even Hillary?

Or is it more a case of, up to $100 million — to take a dive? Or in the unlikely event of a win, to step back somehow and let the neocons once again run the show, through Pence?
