Natives in ND Being Attacked by Military Police Right Now

NoDAPL 10.27.16.JPGThe people standing against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline are being attacked by militarized police, the National Guard, and private security right now in North Dakota. People are being arrested and pepper-sprayed, and tents and tipis are being destroyed. Sacred land (where ancestors are buried) has been desecrated and the construction continues while the people fight for clean water and their lives -- and all of our lives. We all live downstream.

Livestreams and other media are continually being blocked. Right now, the feed that's working best for me is https://www.facebook.com/cempoalli.twenny/videos/vb.1551483589/102108407...

Follow the #NoDAPL hashtag on Twitter for ongoing updates.
Alternative media Unicorn Riot has some videos you can watch. http://livestream.com/unicornriot

Ignore all the mainstream media that says the water protectors are "trespassing." The pipeline is being built on unceded treaty land, and telling indigenous people that they are "trespassing" on "private property" just adds insult to injury.

Sorry I don't have time to write more, but please please pass this information around, post on social media, witness and report on what's happening.

This is settler colonialism in action today. Not in the 1800s or even the 1900s, but today. Native people being attacked on their own land. Concussion grenade just thrown into crowd, people being treated for pepper spray attacks.

This is horrible.

I haven't seen this reported on anywhere else, but our government used eminent domain on at least 9 farmers to build the pipeline.
Usually ED is when the city or state used it to build roads or schools or other things that will help the community, not a private company.
The farmers are trying to sue over this but we know that the banks and others that are behind the pipeline have unlimited funds to fight the lawsuit.
And if the TPP passes then even the right to sue over this type of action is going to be taken away from us.
Damn the whores in our government that continually sell us out to the highest bidder.
This woman was arrested on her own property when she tried to stop them from digging up her own land.
I don't see how this can be constitutional.

Executive Order of President George W Bush: Protecting the Property Rights of the American People, 6/23/06
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and to strengthen the rights of the American people against the taking of their private property, it is hereby ordered as follows:

So what this company is doing is illegal.

It is policy of the rights of United States to protect the rights of Americans to their private property, including by limiting the taking of private property by the Federal Government to situations in which the taking is for public use, with just compensation, and for the purpose of benefiting the general public and not merely for the purpose of advancing the economic interest of private parties to be given ownership or use of the property taken.

So unless Obama recinded this executive order, then what this company is doing to the farmers and the Native Americans is illegal.
Besides the NAs own the land where the pipeline is going through.
This gives Obama the right to shut this down and tell the sheriff that he is breaking the law. Not just ask them to voluntarily to stop the building of the pipeline.
So where the hell is he? Hiding?

It's not Constitutional - all such laws contravene the US Constitution, the principles of democracy and of sane law.

That's why US courts are packed with corrupted judges willing to distort the intent of law - protection of the public interest - and misinterpret the Constitution to make a pretense of law out of criminality.

Tonight on cable TV there will be no coverage because it's all Trump all the time. Down at the bottom of the screen the scroll will say "Pipeline protest turns violent." That will also be the newspaper headline tomorrow.

Just once I'd like to see, "Peaceful protesters attacked by police."

What was done to the Native Americans is heartbreaking and to see what's happening to the protesters now is equally heartbreaking.

The cops have no right to use LRADS against peaceful protesters nor attack dogs. Plus there are snipers on the hills surrounding the protest area.
That's what has pissed me off the most about Obama's silence on this. Attack dogs were used during the civil rights protesters and if they haven't put their lives on the line then he would not be president today.
But he grew up in a white affluent family and didn't have to go through what many Blacks are going through today.

I can't remember specifically where every painting came from but I do remember perusing, for many hours, the archives of famous artists of Western art from the late 1800s and early 1900s to find just the right images for the presentation. George Catlin, Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell are just a few that quickly come to mind. Google their names, you'll get lost for hours in some excellent works of art.

What the hell went through the minds of the jurors?
They definitely were guilty of the charges against them.
Is this another example of white privelage or because they had guns? Look at how many years it took the government to even bring charges against them,
They pointed weapons at federal officials and nothing happened to them, meanwhile the people who don't have any weapons are met with attack dogs, pepper spray, aLRAD device and are threatened by snipers.

TPTB want to destroy faith in government by corrupting government intended to be of, by and for the people, so that people demand less or no democratic government, rather than a democratic government;

they want to destroy faith in law and order by corrupting those who are intended to dispense justice in protecting the safety and interests of the public so that people instead demand their own weapons to defend themselves rather than the public service they pay for and are entitled to;

they wish to destroy faith in a shared and interdependent society where we all have equal rights, treatment and opportunity and look out for one another by corrupting our perceptions into seeing an every-man-for-himself, dog-eat-dog world of hazard.

They are evil.

This is what corporations have freely and even more violently done in countries where the people and environment have no protections, as will be the case in all involved countries as off-shored corporate court 'law' is illegally and unconstitutionally claimed under Trojan Horse 'trade agreements' on the basis of a traitor's signature.

finally acknowledged the situation. NBC News received a statement from Clinton campaign spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa:

“From the beginning of this campaign, Secretary Clinton has been clear that she thinks all voices should be heard and all views considered in federal infrastructure projects,” Spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa said in a statement.

“Now, all of the parties involved — including the federal government, the pipeline company and contractors, the state of North Dakota, and the tribes — need to find a path forward that serves the broadest public interest,” Hinojosa said. “As that happens, it’s important that on the ground in North Dakota, everyone respects demonstrators’ rights to protest peacefully, and workers’ rights to do their jobs safely.”

I have no idea what she is even trying to say with it.
