Hurricane Matthew Makes Land Fall on Haiti - Lets Not Waste Aid/Relief Money Capitalist Schemes

This morning I had the unfortunate experiance of listening to people who should know better that Haitians themselves are to blame for Hurricane Matthew (and poverty):

1. Because they worship the devil and don't follow Jesus.
2..Because the became independent of France (unlike neighboring Guadeloupe).
3. Because they are corrupt.
4. Because they destroyed their forests/habitat/environment.

Actually this is the American/French/British colonialist, racist propaganda repeated ad nauseum to the point where most people, including people of African origin, believe that its truth.

But any study of Haitian history will show the following:

"The rapid deforestation of Haiti began during the colonial period, and was intensified when coffee was introduced in 1730. Upland forests were cleared and fifty years later, a quarter of the colony’s land was under coffee. The system of plantation monoculture and clean-cultivation between rows of coffee, indigo, tobacco, and sugarcane exhausted soil nutrients and led to rapid erosion (Paskett and Philoctete, 1990). Following the revolution of 1804, the government was forced to export timber throughout the 19th century to pay off a 90 million franc indemnity to France. No longer under colonial rule, land remained unequally distributed nevertheless, and peasants were granted access only to the marginal slopes between 200 and 600 m, above the fertile plains and below the zones of coffee production. These hillside soils were particularly susceptible to erosion when cleared for farming."

"The precarious state of Haiti’s natural resources are by and large a tragic legacy of pre-and post-colonial exploitation, exacerbated not only by the irresponsible mismanagement of the nation’s wealth by a string of opportunistic dictators, but also by crippling debt burdens and the persistent (and repeatedly enacted) threat of military intervention by the US and European governments."

Much of Haiti’s natural resource degradation is symptomatic of the nation’s inability to extricate itself from a paralyzing debt burden and the repercussions of neoliberal economic policy."

And there is this:

"62 percent of Port-au-Prince’s population relies solely on charcoal for cooking and heating, amounting to roughly 0.44 kg per person per day (Michel, 2001)"

This morning we are hoping that Hurricane Matthew will not leave another wake of death and destruction in Haiti.

Instead of wasting AID MONEY 'comme' Clinton on sweat shops, fancy tourist hotels, rigging elections, and giving away gold mines to American capitalist cronies, some excellent solutions can be found by trusting the Haitian people with community housing projects, land reform, agro-forestry and clean energy. Most NGO's should probably be tossed out on their sorry asses and aid given directly to communities, small farmers and their unions (almost all Haitians are small farmers) and neighborhoods (and their unions).

There is no such thing as TMI. It can always be held in reserve for extortion.

I embedded the video for you.

Haitians are quite aware of this. But, its just the latest chapter of 500 years of rip-offs, colonialism, slavery, plantation agriculture and land distribution, invasions, USA supported dictators & imperialism, imposed free market capitalism and misuse of relief funds by foreign NGOs.

Haiti is the sickening result of the worst practices of European and American imperialism ever perpetuated on an island nation. What is worse is the racist, blame the victim monologue by the capitalist pigs who have done everything possible to hurt Haitians.

I came to C99% at lunch just to post regarding Hurricane Matthew slamming Haiti. We will all hope that the American Rip-off artists have nothing to do with any aid, assistance, or monies directed to these desperate people; many of which are still homeless, or living in temporary shelter since the earthquake...thanks to the Clintons, and their cronies. How much more are the Haitians supposed to put up with? They have no political might to fight back with, no military of significance, and have lived under an Oligarchy since colonization by Europeans. Then, even worse..."the greatest nation" got its greedy claws into their economy, and resources, and to this day are exploiting the crumbs of a society left to them.

There are days when I am so ashamed of being an American I can't stand it. Today is one of those ugly days when I feel helpless in my ability to offer a compassionate hand to those in need.

It's beyond disgusting to watch people who have the ability to make other people's lives better, but use it to enrich themselves and their friends and family instead.
Can anyone name one thing that the Clintons have done that has helped humanity?
Even the AIDS drugs that they supposedly have given millions of dollars of them to people in Africa is tainted by a scandal.
I don't remember what they did, but the drugs aren't high quality and possibly useless. I need to look into this.
The Clinton foundation website looks exactly like how Hillary answers a question.
It's so vague about what it actually does.
Look at it to see what I mean.
There's no clear mention that f how they have helped the people in Haiti.
I would think that it would mention how many homes people have received or been built, how many jobs have been created, but there's nothing like that.
And it's not just the Clintons that have screwed the Haitians. Their friends have also as well as our government.
Congress hasn't released all the funding that was allocated after the earthquake.
Obama sent the military for security reasons even though it wasn't warranted and took 1/3 of the money that was supposed to help the Haitians.
Doing a search for 'Clinton foundation scandals' as well as what other have written here will show you that it's worse then you thought.

Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.

Here is how the scam is perpetuated:

A photo with caption from the Clinton Foundation 2014 Report. The caption reads, "Prodev School - which was built through a Clinton Global Initiative Committment to Action."

Clinton Foundation Annual report 2014.jpg

The truth according to the NY Times:

"One of those schools, operated by the Haitian group Prodev, was featured in the Clinton Foundation’s most recent annual report as ‘built through a Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action.’ The Clinton Foundation’s sole direct contribution to the school was a grant for an Earth Day celebration and tree-planting activity.” [New York Times, 5/29/15]

Be sure to scroll to the end and see the half million dollar CGI ripoff from the school building charity. The slimeball Clinton Foundation charged the charity the cost of 15 schools as an honorarium for a stupid slimy speech.

Good lord, that is the truth.
He spoke for over a minute and charged that charity $500,000?
If this isn't the definition of slime ball then I don't know what is!
Look at the difference between the two charities.
Hers has built over 100 schools and the Clintons planted some f'cking trees?
The more I learn about them, the more disgusted I get.
They are nothing but rich white trashed grifters!
Absolutely no empathy for anyone in this country or other countries.

The Brits had been doing this since they did it to Ireland to build their navy out of Ireland's forests.

I heard on Morning Edition

Haven't found the link to the story I heard yet.

How much money did the Clinton's take in for that, again?

EDIT: Found this link from Jan 2015

I think one of the other big needs is certainly the issue of housing. Immediately after the earthquake, some estimates said that there were 1.2 or 1.4 million people just living on the street under tarps. And many of those people have now kind of disappeared from the streets. There's about 85,000 people still registered to be living in tents or under tarps. But even the people who appear to have been relocated or housed, many of them are in really tenuous situations financially.

'What we are left with is an agency mandated to ensure transparency and disclosure that is actually working to keep the public in the dark' - Ann M. Ravel, former FEC member

And see how the foundation and Hillary's state department have ripped off the people in Haiti and made their friends rich.
Anyone who wanted in on the reconstruction had to go through the foundation first.
And of course the people from Haiti that desperately needed jobs weren't the ones hired for the reconstruction jobs.
Bill and Huma did a lot of work behind the scenes and no one even knows what they did.
Hillary used her influence at the state department to make sure that the US got the election results that they wanted. They redid the election to get it.
And Hillary also made sure that the minimum wage wasn't raised from $.31-$.64/ hour.
The Clintons wanted a new sweatshop factory built so they took prime farm land away from farms that belonged to families for generations and built a factory that was supposed to employ hundreds of people, but less than 100 were hired.
Gawd, they don't give a rat's ass about the people there. All they care about is money, power and influence!
Oops, I forgot. Hillary is the protector of women and children my bad.
