How Dare You consider voting third-party!

poll_2.PNG
Hillary Clinton is dropping in the polls. The Democrats are beginning to worry.
The time has come to point fingers!

Host Chris Cuomo asked Pelosi why she thought Clinton’s poll numbers were tightening with her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, and why voters are more enthusiastic to vote for him.
“First of all, I think that polls are a reflection of some voters going to the third-party. The third and fourth party. The tightening that some of these undecideds have gone to that place. Some of the millennials,” Pelosi said.

Ah yes. It couldn't possibly be the fault of the DNC and Democratic establishment for rigging the nomination and forcing a flawed candidate down our throats.
Nope. It must be the fault of those voters who want to vote for someone that shares their own values.

Pelosi also blamed “fear” on why the poll numbers were tightening, as she called Trump a “fear monger” for his immigration stance.

What hurbis. What irony. As if the Dems haven't been fearmongering for a year now.
In case you aren't getting the message, the Clinton campaign is about to spell it out in bold letters.

The principal “super PAC” supporting Mrs. Clinton’s candidacy, Priorities USA Action, has concluded from its polling and other research that the reluctance to embrace the Democratic nominee among those who intensely dislike Mr. Trump is not going away and must be confronted.
“We’ll be launching a multimillion-dollar digital campaign that talks about what’s at stake and how a vote for a third-party candidate is a vote for Donald Trump, who is against everything these voters stand for,” said Justin Barasky, a strategist for Priorities USA.

Wait for it.
Wait. . . for . . . it

Mrs. Clinton’s backers are troubled enough by the resilience of the third-party candidates that they have started invoking a name that triggers painful memories: Ralph Nader.
“You’re going to end up with Nader electing Bush again if they vote that way,” warned Mr. Daley, who was the campaign chairman for Mr. Gore in 2000 when he lost Florida, and the presidency, in part because liberals supported Mr. Nader, the Green Party nominee that year.

You knew that was coming, didn't you?
The terrible specter of The Nader. Dems having been laying this groundwork for 15 years.
poll1_0.PNG
Meanwhile, the evil of two lessers is dropping in the polls.

Trump has pulled into the lead in Florida and Ohio, two crucial states where he has trailed Clinton for most of the race, and several states that once looked out of reach for Trump — Colorado and Virginia, among them — suddenly appear competitive.
One survey showed Trump swinging to a lead in Nevada, a state that President Obama carried with ease during both of his presidential campaigns. And a poll of Iowa, which has only gone for the GOP nominee once in the last seven elections, found Trump ahead by 8 points.
...
A CBS News-New York Times poll released Thursday found Trump and Clinton locked at 42 percent support nationally.

Only 43 percent of Clinton’s supporters say they’re excited about casting a ballot for her, compared to 50 percent of Trump’s supporters who are excited to vote for him. More than a third of young voters — a diverse group that leans left and formed a key part of the Obama coalition — are supporting a third-party alternative over Clinton.

You can no longer scare me with the fear of having a terrible Republican regime.

To vote Democrat is, to me, a vote to continue the fraud, criminality, and deceit of the Dem party. Enough already. As a very low income senior citizen, I realize how dangerous a Trump Presidency would be for me. But a point comes when you can't go along with it anymore. So I say, "Give me liberty..." or give me whatever harmful scraps the Republicans will dish out to me.

I will not vote for Hillary.

History shows that it's easier for Democrats to install right wing policies than for Republicans. And Hillary supports "entitlement reform". We know what that means, don't we? If Trump tries it he will have broad based opposition. Hillary will have her Center-Right coalition to put it over and then Republicans will point out at the mid term how Democrats screwed seniors just like they did when Obama accommodated them.

Yes, I fear trump. But I fear Hillary more. And I shudder at the thought of megalomaniac pathological liar Hillary, who may be having seizures, having her thumb on the nuclear button. Trump is a loud mouth blowhard, but will never press the button. Hillary might do it because the voices tell her to.

Such a beautiful plan. Its shear elegance brings a tear to your eye.
Cheat their way to 50%+1 and everyone they robbed of their preferred candidate would just fall in line. Then they could focus on moving even farther to the right to claim Republican voters until they made it to 50%+1 in the general, then throw every voter under the bus and peddle their influence to the highest bidder.

We wanted decent healthcare, a living wage and free college.
The Democrats gave us Biden and war instead.

Even here on The Caucus, Ralph Nader gets blamed for Dubya instead of admitting Al Gore was being a terrible candidate who couldn't even win his own home state. Dore reminds us that Dukakis and McGovern DO get blamed for being terrible candidates instead of blaming the voters who didn't back either in droves. (Full disclosure: I voted for both McGovern and Dukakis) One could also make the case for Carter and Mondale being poor choices in their respective defeats even though Dore doesn't go there.

As Dore rightfully points out, Hillary's campaign is blaming the voters in advance of the election for Hillary the Terrible Candidate meeting defeat.

The Voters are doing their jobs. WHEN DOES THE CANDIDATE DO HERS TO WIN VOTES INSTEAD OF DEMANDING THEM AS IF SHE OWNS THEM???"

New poll shows Clinton and Trump nearly tied in Michigan
Todd Spangler, Detroit Free Press 4:43 p.m. EDT September 16, 2016

Clinton, whose lead in some national polls also has disappeared lately after a successful convention this summer in Philadelphia, still leads Trump 38%-35% in Michigan, according to the poll done by Lansing-based EPIC-MRA for the Free Press, WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) and their outstate partners. But that is within the poll’s 4-percentage-point margin of error, and a significant drop from her 11-point lead last month.

If Gore had started running on his Progressive platform six weeks earlier nobody would have cared about Nader or Florida because Al would have crushed Bush.

But hey, that's the DLC all over: they rather lose with a corporatist message than win with a progressive one.

I don't think Bernie stumping for Clinton in college towns in Ohio will be very effective. He's not on the ballot and these college students know it. They may attend out of curiosity, but it won't change anything. The media will be there to cover the event now that Bernie is not a threat anymore. Why doesn't Hillary herself go to the college campuses and campaign? Is she afraid the attendance will be poor? Why is it that Hillary Clinton always needs someone to rescue her when she gets in trouble? At a Town Hall with Rachel Maddow in April, Clinton didn't seem to need Bernie's supporters and appeared to take them for granted.

Bernie has been neutralized. There is nothing he can do to push Hillary anywhere. He shot his wad settling for the Platform Planks, which were quickly sawn into toothpicks to hand out to the Republicans crossing over to publicly announce support for Her.

To cut Bernie a couple of feet of slack, his strategy now is to push her from within. Announcing as a Democratic candidate might possibly have allowed him to have been a stronger candidate as he was running from within the Party structure.

But he was betrayed by the DNC every step of the way. They rigged the debate schedule, made the most of their media connections to favor Her, and probably more that I can't demonstrate as verifiable.

In the end, they ensured he still lost.

Thus Bernie is being used for the support he garnered actually talking about the issues people do still care about. As Hillary's Left Shill, he now can't speak for himself. He wants to protect his committee status, and without that he can do nothing for us -assuming the Democrats don't throw him overboard in the next election by running a strong candidate against him for the Senate seat he now holds.

That is how Clintons repay favors done for them if the desired result isn't achieved.

How long ago was the DNC convention when most of us decided which third party candidate we would vote for? And why is the Clinton campaign just figuring this out now?

Bernie Sanders drew in nonpartisans and even Republicans (like myself) who registered as Dem to vote for him in our respective primaries. The arrogance of Hillary, to think that these voters would just be hers if she destroyed the reason we'd been in the party to begin with!
