I posted this, in response to someone claiming how "brave" and "patriotic" Hillary was to have attended the 9/11 memorial despite knowingly having had pneumonia:
Pneumonia is an infectious disease!! You want others around her to get sick as well?

It got multiple flags. TOP has finally, truly jumped the shark. The "reality-based site" is now in deep denial over Hillary's illness.
A bunch of long-distance "doctors" assured me that pneumonia is not a contagious disease. Some are more contagious than others, true. But how do these Doctor Longdistances know which one Hillary has?
I'm finally outta there. And I'm letting people know, in no uncertain terms.

When did
the pneumonia meme start? This morning all the talking heads were saying it was heat induced. Ah, I'll bet they're trying to kill 3 birds with one stone. Blame the hacking up of green globs a few days ago, her coughing fits and her spell today on pneumonia. I had pneumonia once and it kicked my 30 year old ass. And I was in great shape. I too truly doubt it's this.

Around a decade ago, both my closest friend and younger brother came down with pneumonia (separate incidents). My brother spent several days in hospital and my friend was laid out for a couple of weeks.
Wandering around a large city would have been out of the question. And both were/are very fit.

I just had a head cold
I'm young, and while I may not be the fittest, I can walk a few miles before I need a lengthier break. But with this cold I just got over, I could barely walk the 1/3 mile between my place and my step dad's place before feeling completely winded. I can't imagine someone over twice my age having something way worse than a simple cold being able to even walk to a bathroom before being overcome by exhaustion, even if it was this guy

Bardack, the doctor who signed the "Hillary is healthy" letter, actually saw HRC on Friday. Maybe did a chest X-ray, but at the least, made a diagnosis of pneumonia and it was in the medical record.
Then Bardack watched HRC collapse on TV today. She doesn't want to be left hanging, so she informs the Clinton campaign she's either going to issue a statement or publicly drop Hillary as a patient. The campaign gets her to insert that silly "dehydrated and overheated" language into the statement to make them look less like liars, but HRC has to give permission to release the info or further inflame the situation.
If you read Bardack's statement, it's pure CYA except for the part about "overheated," non-medical terminology that came from the campaign's earlier lie.

I go to DailyKos to scan
and gauge the general tenor of that community... certainly not to comment or argue there, which would be fruitless. As a source for objective political analysis, the place is now almost worthless. They've put all their eggs in one basket, and the basket has developed a hole in its bottom. Everyone is either desperately trying to patch it up, or denying that it even exists - but it keeps on getting bigger. They've got a recipe for one hell of an omelette.

Most pneumonias are viral. The pneumococcus is a bacterium. She might still have a bacterial pneumonia w another pathogen. I don't know.

I don't think she has pneumonia. We didn't hear about this
until she collapsed today. And you don't give people with pneumonia antibiotics and then let them continue their normal schedule and send them into crowds. It is difficult to determine whether pneumonia is viral or bacterial or other. And you usually have to be in bed. I have had walking pneumonia. I sure as hell would not have tried to stand for 90 minutes listening to names being read. I was told to spend most of my time in bed or expect to be hospitalized. And I was decades younger then than HRC is now.
I think they just now made that up. But TD, why do you say this response is unprecedented at TOP? TOP has been in deep denial since before the ides of March.

We know how they operate with distraction after distraction. Pneumonia's a relatively BIG admission after earlier it she was just a wee bit too warm. I suspect this is a bright and shiny object intended to help us miss something else.

How exactly did she recover from pneumonia within a few hours?
At her age, pneumonia is a serious condition, one that should require hospitalization. Yet, we're expected to believe that she's been doing public events while sick? Many people, even those much younger than her, have died of pneumonia. Somehow, after she was ushered into the van, she showed up a few hours later, waved to the crowds, and said that she felt fine. Do they really expect us to buy this?
It boils down to this either being yet another in a series of lies (which is the most likely case), or she's being incredibly reckless with her health and is willing to potentially die in order to make public appearances at symbolic events. No matter what the truth is, she comes off looking bad. Her judgment is called into question. Heat stroke? Pneumonia? Something else even worse?
I'm sick of them throwing this bullshit our way and saying that everything's fine. No, everything is not fine. She's already used her health as an excuse to evade the FBI, and if things are really that bad, they need to disclose that to the American people before the election. I do not want someone that is both physically and mentally impaired to have access to nuclear launch codes. The way that this is being handled by the candidate, her campaign, the party, and the hyper partisans at GOS is reckless, selfish, and just plain stupid.

2) if you are collapsing from pneumonia like that, you need to go to bed and stay there, you won't be getting up all zippy and peppy a couple hours later---This is simple common knowledge, anyone who's had it knows this.
Yes there is 'walking pneumonia' but such behavior is not normal for that except under duress, and if that does happen you are still in bed.
As far as dehydration, which seems to be happening a lot to her. With all those people surrounding her, couldn't one or two of them be carrying bottles of water for her?

Those videos are pretty clear. She was stiff and rigid, leaned against that post like a doll. Then she became spastic, jerking involuntarily, before being dragged into the van. Her foot was relaxed in such a way that she was either unconscious or completely unable to control her foot muscles at that point.
I don't know whether it's Parkinson's, MS, mini-strokes, post-concussion syndrome, whatever. I just know that is not fainting, heat stroke, allergies, or pneumonia. She might ALSO have pneumonia, but that's not what is causing those behaviors.
I am not a doctor, but am fairly certain that there's an earlier photo of her doctor performing a neuro exam, asking Hillary to squeeze her hand while tracking the doctor's extended finger of her other hand.

Same deal - BP 60/40, unable to stand without syncope - result of a bad medication. Took some weeks to recover. And as it happens I have Parkinson's., early stage.
Looking at the video, it looks to me she had her weight on her left leg and it started to collapse - loss of muscle tone and leg bending at the knee. Then she caught herself abruptly and straightened it up, twice. After the secret service got to supporting her under each arm she lost it entirely - as they were getting her into the van she pitched forward - looks like syncope, i.e. complete loss of consciousness and muscle tone. Quite obvious in her fight foot and leg.
Question is why, of course. Not Parkinson's I can tell you that - properly medicated early stage not subject to this kind of sudden episode. It would be a given in case of syncope her brain was not properly perfused with blood. Many possible causes, OH being one, stroke another. It does not seem likely to me this would be the result of pneumonia.

She could have looked like a hero going out with presumably a noninfectious version fighting for children, apple pie, and the American way. There could have been more political advantage in announcing. While Trump talks about her health she shows how tough she is going around with the pneumonia giving speeches and dedicating this or that. I have not paid particular attention to claims against her health but now I do.
As for TOP I only read the front landing page as a kind of DLC propaganda site to get a sense of day's talking points.

Even establishment mass media figures like Brokaw said Hillary needs to go to a neurologist. Now he may think this is just good politics and Hillary is okay, but interesting he chose to say neurologist. Did he let slip out some information he knows about? Most of the speculation that I at least read about centers around some neurological issues. But after seeing that video of Hillary collapsing, it looked very scary. If she didn't have the people holding her up, she would have really hurt herself with the fall. I think anybody watching that video would have some unconscious stirring that something was really wrong.

I certainly don't... But Hillary's physical infirmities, whatever they may or may not be, are the least of my worries. A healthy Hill could be even more dangerous than a disabled one.
I doubt that she will be disqualified in any case. But her health issues could very well be enough to hand the election to Donald Trump. In which case, literally everything gets turned upside down. What's good is bad, what's bad is good. And also in which case, caucus999percent becomes an even more valuable haven for what's left of political sanity than it already is.

I have PD early stage. Yeah there is swallowing difficulty because PD dries out the GI tract. But it has to get really advanced before a person becomes so decrepit that they are aspirating food.
I watched the video of Hillary being assisted into the van very carefully several times. Whatever was going on there was not typical of Parkinson's.
Early stage PD is very well controlled with meds - if I didn't tell people no one would ever know by watching. Whatever was going on with Hillary was obviously not well controlled.
Pneumonia is the go-to disease of
convenience to explain the public coughing fits and seizures, a two-fer, if you will. The spinners in Hillaryland are still spinning their excuses for the worst candidate ever.
I kept thinking about the wonderful movie Dave, in which an actor who runs an employment agency (and is a dead ringer for the president) is recruited to temporarily "play" the president, because he's brain dead in the White House basement. If Hill were elected and then die, I do believe that Bill would run the show as a shadow president, while Hill would be rolled out on formal occasions and photoshopped to look alive by the obliging corporate press.
