So much for 90% switching to Clinton?

From The Guardian 7/13/16 - so this count is PRE-Convention:

What now? Sanders supporters shift allegiance to Clinton, Trump – and Stein

We received 375 responses on readers’ plans for their November vote. And despite the show of solidarity with Clinton on Tuesday, Sanders’ fans aren’t all convinced the presumptive Democratic nominee is who they will now support: Green party nominee Jill Stein was the most popular among reader respondents, with 171 new supporters, more than double the number who said they would move their support to Clinton.

A write-in vote for Sanders was also a popular option, with just 20 respondents opting for Trump. These results aren’t necessarily a representative sample, and they differ significantly from a Pew Research Center poll released Wednesday, which found that 85% of Sanders supporters intended to vote for Clinton.

Ok, so they don't really show their math fully, but the number voting for Stein in their sample is gaining on half. Looks like their percent switching to Clinton may be in the low 20's? Funny that they don't print it.

EDIT: HAT TIP TO BONDIBOX FOR CATCHING THIS CHART IN THEIR COMMENT SECTION

Embedded in the respondents' comments is the bar chart with the full top lines.

Stein 171
Clinton 88
Bernie 38
Trump 20
Johnson 15
On the fence 41

SO MY MATH SAYS CLINTON IS AT 23% BY THOSE NUMBERS.

Leaving my chart up for nostalgia:
Here's what we can guess from what math they provide or suggest:

Stein = 171 (who knows what 'new' means and whether there are also 'old' Stein voters).
Trump = 20
Hillary = 85? (she got less than half of the number Stein got, so if Stein got 171 total, than fewer than 85)
Bernie = 99? (Bernie write in = 375 - 276, the total of the other candidates)

CORRECT MY MATH IF YOU READ THIS DIFFERENTLY, PLEASE.

They show some of the answers they got if you click over...

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

... the 85-91% numbers were put out around the endorsement and specifically only asked to choose between the two major parties. No stay home, no third parties.

In other words, they might as well have asked "will you vote for Trump? y/n", but that wouldn't have generated the headline they were looking for.

Really, really have to dig into poll methodologies this cycle like no other. We are very obviously being subjected to some hip deep stuff.

My second favorite was I think the CNN poll that had Clinton up high single digits recently ... while polling no 18-34 demo. um ... really?

God, I liked it better when I laughed at CT.

but it seems it was written right after the convention, or right after Bernie's questionable endorsement. People should vote for whomever they prefer, but unfortunately many are influenced by "the crowd."

If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth and you change reality.

I believe they got that from the great Nazi propogandizer Goebbels?

when DWS trotted out, as an off-topic explanation for something else, that the DNC had a Watergate level crisis with it's emails attacked by Russians. I was mostly amazed that Tim C could sit there with a straight face instead of bursting out laughing.

In my opinion Trump will not be on the ballot in November. The Republicans will dump him and depending who they select to replace him, watch out.

If it is a crazy like Cruz then Hill still wins or if they let Pence move up, Hill still wins. However, what happens if it is say Katich or even Romney, bye, bye Hillary. The reality is she is a horrible and corrupt candidate who holds onto a lead not because she is beloved, or even liked but because Trump is so crazy. Take him out of the equation and she is toast

has 'Hellery is crooked'. If Trump wins, I will have a 'Don't Blame Me, I Voted Bernie' bumper sticker. Imagine how far ahead in the polls Bernie would be if he were the nominee?

figure out how. He definitely does not want to BE president. I think he'd be happy to be ELECTED, however. But I am being persuaded that his running at all may just be a plant by the Clinton interests.

I'm still hoping against hope, however, that SOMETHING sticks against Hillary and we end up having her replaced as well. There seem to be about a dozen zombies all with the potential to knock her out. They have been remarkable at nullifying things which would have LONG AGO taken out someone not propped up by the powers that be... My fingers are crossed that Bernie has done what is necessary to step in - it appears to me that he did.
